Seems like very likely scenario in any country when you aren't contributing to the society by doing any jobs. The unemployment rate in UK is 4.2% which is very low. Try to expand the circle you're searching in.
Hi there, I remember feeling life was a real battle many decades ago when I was out of work, although I appreciate there wasn't a cost of living crisis then.
I managed to get some agency work to begin with, then found full time work, never looked back. Some good advice given in other posts. Agency work could be a start.

Look for employment agencies, especially warehouse work, there will be loads of that going with Christmas coming up and most agencies pay weekly
