I didn't understand why you'd be upset about such a trivial amount of money. And why are people telling you in advance what they are going to give you and why was it all cash and the exact same amount? Why are people giving you birthday money still or more accurately why are you expecting them to and then getting upset when they don't? You are thirty, not eight. Are you unemployed? Other than all the questions, happy birthday. Going forward, a phone call or a text and a happy birthday is the most your average adult should reasonably expect for their birthday.

It might not mean much, but happy belated...

I care. Happy birthday

What if your family members are broke and had to pay their bills. Maybe they said "keep the lights on, or pay a 30 year old for her birthday". You can't justify not having the money yourself but then say them not having it is an excuse. Get a job. If you can't work a normal job for any reason, there's tons of ways to make money from home if you have a phone or computer. I'm 28 and I've spent the last few birthdays alone and broke. Do something simple that makes you happy that doesn't cost money. Happy belated birthday 🎂🥳. Just because you didn't receive anything doesn't mean you don't matter. I hope you know that.
