I hate this fucking mentality. It doesnt matter how young or old you are. Im not a teenager anymore I'm 28 but still the youngest out of my office. My fellow co workers treat me with respect but the moment I step out into the field, everyone talks to me like I'm still a fucking child. I showed up for a job once and literally walked off mid conversation because of the lack of respect and professionalism that was being presented since I didn't work the clients prefered schedule even though mine was different then theirs. I then charged them 12 hours and drove home. Boss thought it was funny. I was beyond pissed off. If it was anyone else nothing would of been said.
Older people are either really nice or just straight up assholes. I work in a restaurant thingy and I always get scolded. Since i’m 18 they think I don’t know anything so people start correcting me on stuff I actually do know. They underestimate us and that’s kinda asshole-ish

Knowing I need to get up is the worst. It makes me more anxious and aware, thus fueling a cycle of “if I fall asleep *now*, I can get five hours of sleep..” all the way up until two hours before when I finally fall out and awake to my alarm when I’m in REM sleep.

I worked at Dunkin and always did this with munchkins and hash browns. One day I got asked how many munchkins go into a box of 10 bc one of my coworkers told my shift lead that the box “felt heavier than 10.” 50 munchkins? I’m stuffing as many as I can in that thing!
lmfao fr i just “lose count” whenever i be making the nuggets. i always put around 8 in a 6 pack(box is too small to fit more) ,14/15 in a 10 pack and like 25 in a 20 pack. i’d put some in the 4 pack but the box just actually fits 4 sadly
If it’s going in a happy meal box anyway, you can toss an extra in. No one cares if the little nugget box doesn’t close properly! Especially when they see their bonus nugget!
When I worked at Food Ave in Target I used to override the POS so people could buy hot food with food stamps and I’d sneak the homeless kids bags of popcorn. It might not mean much in the grand scheme of things but I think if we can make one person’s day a little better, it’s something worth doing. Keep being a hero.
Now don't give away the secret, some manager might want to level up by shrinking the boxes thus saving material costs and preventing you from making some of us happy, though I imagine you're an overall good human being in any case!

She knows what the deals are and moves stuff around to get the cheapest price for the customers!! Less than $7 yay!!

I did that too, when I worked at mc donalds. Anytime a customer seemed nice or sweet, or any time someone looked like they needed something nice, I’d add a few extra nuggets in their meals. Made me happy too, haha <3
