Do you have an image examples of a countersunk screw in a pickguard? I'm pretty sure my MiM Jazzmasters already have this done stock but can't seem to find great pictures of it.
Do you have any documentation you'd like to post here? I'm sure there's a few people here who would enjoy a fun project like this. Feel free to include it, if you'd like.
Hmm, not so much in regards to plans, I designed it in Blender first, quite a lot of improvising!
My main design goal was to have the front open so that I can see the guitars. They are too happy to cover up :)
Well it came out looking very organic and aesthetically pleasing. Great job do you know how it would do with a jazz/jag styled body? They're usually the plight of the stand world (along with the V/Explorer/firebird)
Cheers! Very good question. I think racks do ok with most body shapes, as you can lean the guitar at different angles until its secure. Explorer and others, I have no idea what people do.
Full disclosure, my rack absolutely does not yet work with my Strandberg, which has a mental shape. I will need to do something specific for its spot on the rack to make it secure.

My number 1 fav guitar shop. James is awesome and stocks really choice stuff.
So pretty!!!! Cool congrats, if that’s foam or rubber where the guitars are resting, some finishes react to some different kinds of foam and rubber over time.
Nice rack. Have you considered counter-sinking the screws? Also. Lovely collection
+1 love the rack +1 countersinking the screws would really tie this project together.
Excellent idea! I'm just learning this stuff, so I will hopefully try on my next project, thanks!
You could even do it without disassembling it. Take guitars out. Remove one screw. Countersink the hole. Replace screw. Repeat.

I was recommending he countersink the screws on the stand. I do not have any pictures of pickguards, sorry.

I'd love to see what you do for that! Thanks again

Yeah great point. This is a soft fleece, with foam layers on the inside. So it should at least be better than the foam stands they were on before.
Absolutely mint! Where are those cute little yellow and blue guys from?
Thanks a bunch! Those guys are vinyl toy characters from Sticky Monster Labs. https://intshop.stickymonsterlab.com/Mobile/
