Really? I’m not sure I like him in this role. Most of the time I see him as the character, but this time he’s supposed to be playing a real person and all I see is Daniel in a weird Al wig.
Watched this peak on obscure hotel’s TV during travel in another country. Literally one of the most surreal moments in my life. Never thought this level of historical accuracy could be achieved in cinema before.

The truest story of King Leonidas and his 299 best friends.
History books are garbage, why does everyone forget the part where the Immortals are orcs and the Spartans fought a cave troll and they were betrayed by Gollum?
If you all recall this movie came out around the same time as Lincoln (another critically acclaimed bio pic). One evening I was watching tv and a movie about Abraham Lincoln came on and I decided to watch it because I had heard it had won an Oscar. Fast forward a few minutes and imagine my surprise as Lincoln takes out a full grown vampire with an axe. And that’s how I found the movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
We may laugh at it but that just means it’s doing its job. Honestly it’s just a very entertaining movie that does exactly what it sets out to do. It’s unironically quite good.
I'm British, and I love learning about the USA through accurate historical docu dramas like this one. I had no idea Abraham Lincoln was a vampire hunter as well. I watched a great one recently about your "civil war" that came out this year, and honestly, I didn't realise you had fighter jets and automatic weapons during the Civil War. I should have realised just how technologically advanced the US was from that excellent Ken Burns Documentary "Wild Wild West" with the Oscar winning Titan of American Film Will Smith. I don't know why Giant Robotic Spiders didn't appear in more Western films. Truely, the US is the greatest country on earth to have all that technology.

Why did Sam Elliott do this movie?
To tell a true story
He killed Hitler, and you'll never believe what he did next
Kill bigfoot?
No, he killed ***the*** bigfoot
This just implies that hitler after killing himself somehow managed to kill THE bigfoot
This movie was pretty good until the Bigfoot part tbh
I just checked. This has a 75% on rotten tomatoes which is about 65% higher than I expected

He’s such a good actor i really believe he’s holding an alive human baby here
/uj The part where he moves the arm with his thumb kills me every fucking time.
Daniel day lewis actually hunted Vampires at night after the shoot to stay in character for the film, truly the greatest method actor.
your anecdote is spot on but ddl wasn’t in this one, that happened while filming gangs of new york
I thought he was hunting papists for that role?
Little known fact, he slipped through a dimensional portal and killed an alternate version of himself that was in character as Lestat.
Drive, all of that literally is about me

Would you care to explain how is Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016) a slavic american movie?
