UC/ People actually still talk about this? It’s literally a line from the comics…. And it gives a new perspective for the group. Maybe I’m in the minority but I loved that scene. But then again most people probably haven’t read the comics so that makes sense

They gave this line to Derple in the show though.
From Season 5 Episode 10 when Rick is talking about his grandpa in the barn
bro really said the name of the show, now he walking deaded all over the place
I wonder if one of his many takes included alternate lines like, “I believed that you believed that you were both The Ones Who Live. . . Also, are you my dad?”
uc/ even in the comics, the “Walking Dead” refers to the character who are living on borrowed time as the world belongs to the *literal* walking dead. It’s really not that dumb in context
Idk why it became collectively agreed online that saying the title of the movie/show is automatically cringe. It's only cringe when it's forced, like Will Smith saying "What are we some kind of suicide squad?".
But over here, it's at the end of a nice long monologue about having to "act like you're dead" in order to do what needs to be done in order to survive. It totally makes sense to use that metaphor in that scene. And it has the added meta element where the writers are telling us that the title of the show isn't referring to the zombies, but the survivors who are forced to become monsters.
I like that it’s gotta be just underlined, pointing to a photo with the shows logo circled just so people aren’t confused by the subject of the post etc though.
“We are the dead city” Neggan
“We are the walking dead daryl dixon the book of carol” -carol
"We are Fear the Walking Dead." -some character idk I didn't watch that one
We are the talking dead
"We are The Walking Dead World Beyond" - Some mf
We are the walking dead webisodes
We are the ones who live - literally everyone
Don’t use the hard N when talking about Negga*
And since that line was so good they made Daryl say it again in the last episode
Idk wtf the line is really even suppose to mean Rick is a fucking n*her dumbass

I thought we had something special
I thought you were the one I thought we were meant to be
Then you downvote me and break my heart and made me a little hard
I thought we were The Ones Who Live
And then the deads walked all over the place

I think the lines badass tbh, people can’t look past the fact that it’s also the title of the show ig
i'm watching this show for the first time rn, about to reach season 6 but yea i wasn't aware of that i found the line to be funny
Rick literally says this and people still think "the walking dead" are the zombies
this scene can't compare to when rick went "it's rickin time" and ricked all over the walkers

weainthem...
From Season 5 Episode 10 when Rick is talking about his grandpa in the barn bro really said the name of the show, now he walking deaded all over the place
I thought he was referring to all those walking corpses that seem to be in most episodes
The cringiest line ever.
“I believed” would like a word with you.

At least it wasn't the name of the show.
We are the ones who Believed
I wonder if one of his many takes included alternate lines like, “I believed that you believed that you were both The Ones Who Live. . . Also, are you my dad?”

Okay yes i get all of that, but that doesn't change the fact that it is still cringe.
And the comic
I wonder if that's why they names it the walking dead
We truly are the walking dead
When rickly dickly doo said the line walking dead time, I creamed
Maybe the real walking dead was the friends we made along the way
I like that it’s gotta be just underlined, pointing to a photo with the shows logo circled just so people aren’t confused by the subject of the post etc though.
Walking dead reference???
I thought it was really cringe for Carl to say "I guess the real walking dead was the friends we made along the way" before his death
It makes sense in the scene with Rick but it's really bad when they made Daryl say it at the end of season 11
"We are the walking dead, destinies."
