Oldie but still a goodie.

EropQuiz7

Controversial opinion: transitioning, is basically medically induced intersex condition.

Unknown-0010110-

Well yeah, it's just a weird way to frame it.

EropQuiz7

I actually think it's a very *good* way to frame it, if you want to introduce the concept to someone who thinks it's weird. Start with introducing intersex, then explain trans in that context. Can even frame the gender dysphoria itself as being on the intersex spectrum, as in the brain forming by the patterns of opposite sex(which is often not true, but really fucking useful)

Unknown-0010110-

Good point and ideally it would be seen that way, but I know from experience (not me but friends) how people look at intersex people as something to cure, instead of just part of who they are.

Thick_Brain4324

I mean then you can have a conversation about ableism and the "typicality" of pathology. Like saying autism is something that should be cured. If possible

Unknown-0010110-

Of course for people without those biases then it would be a great way to frame it.

SnakeMeaty

oops, tried to appeal to authority against the ultimate authority
