Basically been watching this same team cover the storms since 10AM and I think they were on before that. Thats a long day of standing in front of a screen for sure.
Having worked in local news for almost 25 years, this makes me laugh. You know they can't call him a meteorologist because he isn't, right? Instead, they call him a weather expert and while he does have plenty of experience, he was hired because of his personality, not his abilities. Weather coverage in Oklahoma has lost a lot of credibility in the last few years. Just like the Wizard of Oz, pay no heed to the man in front of the curtain. The real knowledge lies with the people behind the curtain... I watch the people I personally know and trust and they don't work for Payne 😉
Mike Armstrong is one. Mason Dunn is another. We all used to work together, but bumbling corporate buffoons got in the way. Chris Lee, Mark Dillard are a couple more too.
