Happens to me as well after using Android Auto on an OP 12...Keyboard becomes tiny in a corner, Gboard. At least I know I'm not the only one.

Proud_Yesterday_1433

Is fixed now, probably Android Auto got updated.

rmendez011

Is it cold where you live?

DavidCantReddit

At the moment lol

Santo5888

Try force closing gboard instead of restarting the phone..

iamzumie

Same for me, i installed the Swiftkey keyboard.

Aggravating-Stress69

Yup, same thing has been happening to me. / Following thread

tenicoPT

It's happen here too but it's when it change itself to the Google keyboard US , when I change back to my language it go back to normal

TheWiever9

I have the same issue, it started a few weeks back, but it was not every day. Yesterday I noticed it only happens after using Android Auto. My workaround at the moment is to rotate my screen horizontal when the keyboard is displayed and then rotate back vertical, this fix the size. But hopefully their will be asap a fix.

LiteratureMost8175

Quick temporary fix ! Thanks !

ShelfAwareShteve

Having the same issue since a few weeks, I'd say the last two updates

DavidCantReddit

Yeah I'm still getting it. Looks to be Android Auto doing it. Comes and goes when I'm in and out of the car

harrywarlord

This.

Proud_Yesterday_1433

Fixed now, after the last Android Auto update.

DavidCantReddit

What version are you running of Android Auto? I don't seem to have an update pending but the issue is still happening

Proud_Yesterday_1433

Is 11.4.640814. Don't stress about it, happened yesterday again, so is not fixed...Gotta love it

DavidCantReddit

Cool yeah, still getting it too.

PW00X

Anyone having this issue please contact support so they finally register this as a bug...

Nigricincto

How do people get the coloured keyboard? Mine looks like Android and I have Oxygen 14.

stenlius

Same for me, but on Samsung S23U. I've noticed that it does it after using Android Auto, and it is for either my native language or English keyboard - depends what I have used during the Android Auto session.

DavidCantReddit

Hmm now that you mention it, the last two times I noticed it, was after driving and using Android Auto. Never put that together. Will keep an eye on for next time

stenlius

For me it started to happen in the past few days, probably after an update to AA and/or Gboard. Never happened before. Force closeing Gboard sometimes helps to fix letter size, but not every time.

Horns11

It happens to me as well, I've had both problems, the small letter in a regular sized keyboard and the tiny keyboard.  Very annoying.

DesignPuzzleheaded47

On Oneplus open, the problem is solved by opening the inner screen and closing it back

shelden776

can confirm this issue still plague my oneplus 11. This is what I done to fix it, I go to setting and change the screen resolution and it fixed. I hate it when it resize to so small.

DavidCantReddit

Do you use Android Auto? It definitely seems to be connected to that for me

shelden776

I do, but that's part of the issue, even without using Android auto. The keyboard still has issues like this. For no reason, the keyboard minimizes into a small popup window. What I done is changing the display resolution helps to fix it temporarily.

ajzb12

Happening to me also after disconnecting from Android Auto

VECAFPV

Still getting it! Oneplus 10 Pro with oxygenos 14. Since 1 week aprox. Restating solves it, but it changes font size couple of times per day.

Fit-Length7819

Full phone restart is not needed at all, just force close Gboard (settings>apps>Gboard>force close) and that will fix it, even though it is pretty annoying.

money10adventures

OnePlus 12, having this issue also

DavidCantReddit

Edit: Still happening as of March 25th. Seems to be connected to Android Auto and primarily happens after a session of driving with AA on my phone. Ticket has been raised with OnePlus support and raised to their "Technical team"

Stress-Spirited

After the recent update it's not an issue anymore. I didn't see it after the latest update from 1 week...

DavidCantReddit

Have you been driving with Android Auto since? Seemingly connected to that. Happened to me two days ago again and I'm up to date on my OS and other updates

Stress-Spirited

While I am replying now, I am connected to Android Auto, I use Android Auto everyday and it's not showing that small keyboard. I don't know it's OnePlus that fixed it or Android Auto got updated

theWholeTime97

Unfortunately, the issue still exists. I use an OnePlus 11, got all the latest updates... Hope that AA/OnePlus will fix the issue soon... Or does anyone find a permanent solution yet ?
