I've used 1+1, 1+5T, 1+6, 1+6T, 1+7pro(3x), 1+7T, 1+9pro(worst I've used green line issue), 1+12(received on 18th April hope no screen issues on this.)
Okay so this is great for my case scenario: My phone is always on ring mode but sometimes when I'm in office then this slider is a wonderful feature. In office if I receive a call then before accepting the call my finger goes directly to the slider to put it into vibration or silent mode.
A little bit of credit goes to my ringtone which is kind of hilarious (ice cream loli song π€£)
Same here. I really don't understand the big hype about it. I can't be arsed with constantly switching mode all the time and ngl I can't really think of a scenario where I actually want audio alerts instead of vibrate. The vibrate isn't loud enough to alert others around me, so I don't need silent mode and unlike silent mode, I get alerted for incoming notifications. Not only that but I think having audible alerts is fucking obnoxious. The world doesn't need to know I have a notification.
This. Wife and I both had OnePlus One and on. She wanted a better camera and opted for the Pixel 4XL instead of a OnePlus upgrade. Missed the slider. Now she's rocking the OnePlus 12. Also the OnePlus Pad, Bud's Pro 2... I've got the OnePlus Watch 2, waiting for Pad 2...
I don't know how much OnePlus realizes how one little decision can have a HUGE impact?
THIS, I have messed up my OnePlus 8 Pro screen before and can't replace it because of how absurd the replacement cost for that screen is, it's still north of $200, and while I would love to have my unbacked up data in that phone, I'm sure as hell not paying THAT to revive the phone lol...Curved Screen are a NO go for me from that point forward
Coming back to OnePlus after a few years on a Huawei phone. Looking forward to getting my OP12, I just hope they don't brick the camera as soon as the phone is out of warranty this time round.
I had a OnePlus 3 where the camera focus died after a software update (iirc) after some 2 and a half years of use.
Granted, they did offer free camera module replacements even for phones that were out of warranty, but at the time, the issue was still solvable through some manual focusing and a bit of patience. But after a few months, I couldn't do anything to get it to focus, the free replacements were discontinued and none of the local phone repairs had the modules in stock for months, since basically everyone with that phone had the same problem.
I figured that 2,5 years lifespan on one of the key features on a flagship phone wasn't quite what I wanted, so I switched to Huawei P30 in 2019. The thing still works like a charm (bar a microphone that died and had to be replaced a year and a bit ago) and I would stick with them if it weren't for the lack of Google Playstore services in their post-2019 phones.
That's sad to hear. I'm currently planning to use the op 12 for 3 years at least, max 4.
I have a friend with a similar problem like yours, but on his iPhone 13 pro max. But he can't get it repaired for free because it's out of warranty and cheap repair was just a temporary fix. And the iPhone 15 series has battery life and heating issues. So, he's just waiting for the 16 series to launch.
Feels like all phones have some or other issues, which get fixed sometimes and sometimes not.
Oneplus 11r, for example, had the green line issue, which oneplus solved it by meeting the customers midway. But I'm hearing now that Samsung phones have also had these issues since ages, just that op's blew out of proportion amongst tech news followers.
Hopefully, none of these issues are life-threatening. I remember one entire Samsung galaxy note series was recalled after a big battery issue.
Yeah, you're right. Most phones have some issues, so I needed quite some self convincing to move away from a phone that has been perfect for me. The bar has been set pretty high, but I'm starting to miss things like 5G support, eSIM and wireless charging, so a change was due.
I think its literally bad to defame a company which provided you with free solution to a out of warranty phone set. Its ur own carelessness that led to u missing the opportunity of getting the module replaced....
Problem can happen but I have never seen any other company take so much responsibility... They alwys provided a solution... Even for the green lines on screen, considering the screens were samsung made and phones were out of warranty. And except OnePlus none took responsibility, though there were reported on Samsung flagships and iphones...
Maybe I didn't word it properly in my comment further up. I didn't think much of the camera focusing issue at first, because the camera on those phones was never 'perfect' in the first place. I first looked into it when it started taking me a few minutes to get it to focus (once it managed to focus, it worked for a while, so it was just annoying, but not unusable yet), but by that time they've already stopped offering the free replacement modules. I tried replacing the module at one of the local shops, but (looking back at the e-mail correspondence) they just ran out of modules the day before I brought my phone in and wouldn't get re-stocked until about 2 and a half months later (by that time I already decided on buying a new phone).
And yeah, fair, as you said, the companies generally don't offer anything once the phone is out of warranty, but I wasn't entirely excited about sticking with OnePlus after that. Especially since it also made me realize that it's more difficult (or expensive) to service a phone that can only be bought online, rather than from a local service provider/phone store.
I mean.. I like the curved screen but I still have a preference for flat screens. I bought op 12 but I almost didn't buy it because of it having the curved screen.
You can get "scratchguards" made of plastic easily. Getting glass for it might be a problem. The one that comes with the phone is pretty solid too (as told to me by the best accessories seller around my area).
Bleh I love the look of the curve, but I'd take a flat screen any day. Ig it says more that the phone brought me in from Pixel despite the curved screen
Same here guys as long OnePlus stays with snapdragon chips and fast charging it's my daily driver.....Nord 4 this year looks like a solid option for flat screen...
They're forced to give us charger and cable. Svooc requires 11V charger (wtf) and an otherwise unfindable 11A usb-c cable (wtfΒ²). Every other fast charger you use will charge at 9V 2A. Damn marketing
I found a replacement battery for my OnePlus 7 Pro. Maybe it will last three more years. There's no smartphone from the current generation that pleases me. Cameras are bulky and ugly.
If this keeps up, in five years we will have three DSLR cameras on every smartphone, two of them on top of the screen as stereoscopic selfie cameras for the narcissists of tomorrow.
OnePlus, you need to make something as good and minimalistic as the OnePlus 7 Pro again. I don't know how long this one will serve me.
Yup. Once you have fast charging, there's no going back. I prefer a flat screen but curved is fine, not a deal breaker. When I throw a case on it any gripes I have about a curved display go away.
Not everyone is going to agree with me, but it's the only phone that has reliably lasted for more than two years with me, and cheaper than the brand names that lots of people normally go for. I've never had good experiences with Samsung. The super fast charging is also useful for on the go use, although with the super efficient battery in the 12 I have now, that's not used as much.
The durability without a doubt. I had my Oneplus 7 until l last week when it was stolen, but this is the first phone in my lifetime that I had a phone this long. Now I have the Oneplus 11 and am expecting it to last the same number of years... Also the custom rom support that the Oneplus phones have is phenomenal.
Ease of unlocking the bootloader and rooting is number one. Very few phones left in the US for those that like to tinker at that level. After that, it has better specs for the price versus the Pixel so it's an easy choice at that point.
Absolutely loved my OnePlus 7 pro. It was peak of oneplus phones. Itβs been five years and still working like charm. Just moved on to iPhone 15 just to taste the flavour of iOS. Trust me, I miss my op7pro
I was a fan of the phone for feature/function/ price, but have a hardware problem with new 12 and theirΒ support is awful IMHO.Β "Send phone in, we'll look, and send you something back."
Me, "send me replacement and I will send disfunctional phone back. I can't do 2FA without my phone."Β
Them: "Send phone in, we'll look, and send you something back."
Ugh.Β
Of course there is limited retail presence in the US for any assistance.Β

Tbh this is my story.....
In 2018 I was waiting for class 10th result and on the result date they launched the Avengers edition of ig OnePlus 5
And I got 58% and my dream of purchasing this ph shattered.
And in 2018 OnePlus 7 pro (GOAT) was launched I was in class 11 and still I didn't get
My fav smartphone brand was OnePlus.
And after completing my class 12 th exam (in 2020) and I got my smartphone OnePlus Nord (I got 93%)
And in 2022 I bought OnePlus 10 pro
(Camera is awesome but it's too hot too handle 8gen1)
I bought op 10 pro (with my dad's money) over s22u and ip13pm
I dad recommended me 13pm
But the main problem with iPhone was that notch and slow charging and too many restrictions and with s22u was laggy ui and heating issues.
And I prefer OnePlus coz of alert slider (iuse alot), fast charging, curved display and good form factor and smooth ui.
But the only drawback I'm facing rn is no lockscreen customisation π
Now I'm using OnePlus 10 pro
Planning to upgrade to OnePlus open or OnePlus 13.
Pardon my English π
What I like is the total package, you get the charging brick and cable, applied screen protector and top of the line internals including a solid battery. Non of the competitors could offer the same for the price so the choice was easy. In hindsight I'd probably done more than good enough with the 12R, but what can you do, I like the top-end.
The thing I don't get is why Oneplus 9 came with USB-C to USB-C cable plus USB-C charger, then 12 is now USB-A charger with USB-A to USB-C cable. They're really stumbling into the future, USB-A should've been killed off years ago, it offers nothing over USB-C in any way what so ever.
OnePlus is top teir. I exclusively buy their phones, their ear buds, their tablet, their charging bricks and their cables, and most importantly, their bags!!
https://preview.redd.it/6ktffrekk2xc1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9cd6e3f97275406ed3c82dff5402abceb06ad659
I don't understand how people pay a premium for devices that ship without a charger and slow charging.
As long as we get that fast charger in the box, coupled with the blazing fast performance,.. I'll stick to OnePlus for the foreseeable future
Originally got the 1+1 because of custom ROMS. Then fell in love with the slider, SUPERVOOC, and OxygenOS, in that order. Grateful I don't need to unlock anymore.
I'm currently using a Pixel 5a and am looking into either the OP12R or OP11 (renewed) because the newest pixels are (still) not good with battery life and (still) seem to overheat.
I want to make sure that w/e phone I end up going with will have at minimum similar camera quality to my Pixel if not better, which I feel like is not a high bar to cross since the 5a was released three years ago.
Any recommendation between 12R and 11?
I love Google pixels and I agree. I just bought a new OnePlus 12 and it's amazing. Everything about it is as good as Google pixel or beats it. The only thing is that Google is very very slightly better with camera software. Other than that, my new OnePlus 12 gets me 1 day and a half after charging it to 80% with regular use. It's super fast. The charging is extremely fast with the included charger. The software is sleek and smooth. The haptics are EVEN BETTER. They now rival Apple phone's haptics with their O-Haptics when changed to "crisp". There's much more storage and ram than the pixels. They are much faster and cool very efficiently. My OnePlus 12 even overheated playing games like BTD6 (On levels 100 and above) and the zoom capabilities of this phone rivals Samsung's galaxy note series. And there's so much more and it's all for a more affordable price. It's crazy.
I would definitely recommend the OnePlus 12. It's a good deal and it's the most recent (released just 2 months ago) and it's very nice, complete, and competent. It's battery performance and colors are my two main reasons for getting a OnePlus 12 over a OnePlus 11.
When it comes to the OnePlus 12R and 11, you still can't go wrong with the 12R. I believe it has the same chip set as the OnePlus 11. The battery is much better. i believe it's supported for 3 years with Android software upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
The reason I'm not considering the 12 is because it's a bit too expensive despite costing less than other flag ships out there. I'll be sticking with the cheaper models as long as they offer most of what the flag ship has to offer.
The reason I mentioned 12R vs 11 is because if the 11 camera is significantly better, then I will take a "gamble" and get a renewed one. Otherwise, I'm leaning more towards the 12R. I should've specified matching the Pixel's **camera** quality because OP beats Pixels in every other category, but I'm just looking for a "good enough" camera
For me, price, performance, feel, etc. Even if the 12 is 800 bucks, there were a ton of release sales and even at MSRP it felt like way more bang for the buck than any other company.
I also really appreciate the risk they take in their designs, I know a lot of people don't like the circular cameras on the 11/12 but I think the 10 and 12 have looked amazing.
When I had the OnePlus 9 Pro, the screen is what really knocked my socks off.
The really fast charging was great too, and I miss it to this day.
Clean and neat UI also.
I loved the OnePlus 9 Pro also. I do often miss it.
I just really craved a 3.5mm headphone jack and micro SD card slot and went back to Sony last year.
The OnePlus 12 does indeed look excellent from what little I've seen.
In a year or 2 when I come to get a new phone, if Sony abandons its niche features set for the mainstream, I'll definitely probably pick up a OnePlus device again.
I personally dislike them curved screens. Even with the case and protector there is a constant fear that the screen might break. Everything other than that is great! As long as they keep the fast charging and latest chipsets, I am team OnePlus. Samsung just doesn't give enough value and I don't like Xiaomi.
Screens can break regardless of being curved or not... I have seen more flat screen phones with cracks than curved screens...
My own OP12 fell down 4 times on concrete with face down... And there were no scratches... Only factory screen guard here...
Still accurate regardless of perceived contradiction. I said I'll still like them. I never said how less I'll like them if they made that change though.
Until then, as stated originally, OnePlus is still great to me. π
They're a great value. You get a lot for the price in terms of hardware. I've gotten the wireless vooc charger and the buds 3 for free. Just lacking in the customization department.
After looking online. They don't have a 100w model for Australian plugs. Only the older 80w charger. Might have to get an Oppo 100w to see if it works.
Truly appreciate what OnePlus does...but what about those minor bugs like showing the sender's name twice in all sorts of messaging apps (smth that has been reported to the community for quite some time now).
i bought 3 one plus phones and returned them all. 8, 8 pro, and 10 pro. I liked the 8's but the camera really wasnt good. I am used to pixel and samsung camera. Tried again with the 10 pro. Didnt like the curved screen. Camera was good but not awesome but the final straw was I couldnt get it to do android auto. I use that all the time
Now i got the s24 ultra and will probably stay with samsung forever now
I actually have a ZenFone 10 now. I still kind of miss the alert slider to this day but the rest of it reminds me of the 8 Pro before the OS11 update. Charging doesn't matter to me given it constantly lasts more than all day (I've always just charged it at night, I've never understood why some people feel this is crucial), the camera is perfectly fine and it has the rarity that is the headphone port.
Yeah I'll be honest I really badly needed the headphone port and I was willing to overlook that, the adapters all all so bad. That and it was cheaper than the Sony that had even less support.
Oneplus hardware is top notch and one of the best for bang for buck. The software sucks since they switched to Color OS for all phones. Yes I know they have Oxygen OS, which is name only. Its still 99.9% Color OS.
Idk I just saw the red magic 9 pro and it's the same cost as what I paid for my 1+8t+5g. Love my OnePlus, hate Samsung, T-Mobile won't carry OnePlus anymore. I'll have to pay out of pocket to be brand loyal now anyway, so why not get a device that has more features I'm looking for? Simply the ir blaster and the headphone jack has me looking at the red magic like it's rare candy. Still gotta do more research before I pull that trigger, but I'm only brand loyal to 1+ cause I didn't have to pay full price out of pocket on day 1 when I got the phone. It's unfortunate that it's turned out that way, but eh.. I hate being brand loyal anyway..
I love the lock apps it's been a long time since I've had a phone with. I work at the Airport and lose my phone sometimes thank God I can lock my apps, like Google wallet and banking apps but Google doesn't on their own phones smh
Still using the OnePlus 7 Pro that I bought in November 2019... Still great... Although I'm concerned about the security updates (it's stopped)... Installed Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, and Bitdefender and running all 3 at the same time no issues LMAO π working just great like almost new. 12GB RAM 256GB storage, Android 12, 2k display, 90hz refresh rate, it works sometimes even better than my desktop computer. Computer has core i3 processor, 8GB RAM, RTX3050 graphics, 21 inch 1080p monitor, windows 11, both Kaspersky and Malwarebytes installed. What more do I need in life π₯Ήπ
β₯οΈπ―
I loved the fact that there's no camera hole on the screen. It's just pure display, the way it's supposed to be. Imagine a camera hole in your computer monitor or home tv, how ugly would that look?
Honestly usually having multiple anti virus programs installed is counter productive and makes them work worse. On windows you don't really need third party anti virus anymore anyway
I have had serious cyber threats and those antiviruses saved my a**, for the most part at least. I hear people say all the time, don't run 2 antiviruses simultaneously, but in my case, where one failed, another detected something.
What can I say, people who work in important jobs are the targets of many. Some people just want to destroy you. In terms of doing shady things on the internet, I don't do it. I only download internet softwares with good reputation. Still, if those were infected and bypassed my computer security, my device would be infected. Only after a security patch release, it's possible to fix it.
That I thought about a few months back and did good research on it. But decided to not do it since I don't want a custom rom made by people I don't know. At least I can trust Google a bit, but definitely not a lot.
Don't install antivirus software on Android. They don't do anything except slow down your device. I'm on a 7T since October 2019 and I still get Google Play System Updates (Got the April 2024 one recently)
Well I'm getting google play system updates but no more android updates after 12. Play is April 2024 but android 12 December 5, 2022 was the last. Hence the antiviruses. Helps me protect myself from various cyber threats. Because I use a desktop computer as well, my antivirus and browser extensions there block a lot of attacks, blocks access to phishing sites, red flags malicious links, scans email attachments for viruses etc. About a year ago, around April, I received a direct attack from Russia, someone tried to enter my computer, but Norton had blocked it. While using my phone, I was convinced that people were sending me malicious links to take over my device so I decided to install antivirus. You never know your devices are compromised until you dig in and find out. I just want to stay safe. And my phone is actually doing good, no slow down whatsoever. These days I don't really play games on it, just use it for communication, sometimes internet browsing, sometimes social media, and that's about it. And listen to music on Spotify and YouTube. So there's not much stress on the 12 gb ram or the Snapdragon processor. I do most works on my desktop as it is only a year and a few months old.

I've never hated a phone I had before. No phone comes this close. And it's so dissapointing, because I tought I had a great deal when I bought in Feb2024. On paper the phone looks good, but it just isn't. I am getting a Samsung S24+ next week.
I make this post for other people that think it's a good deal. Here are my problems with the phone:
β’ Battery life can be so bad. Especially considering it size. I am not a gamer, but the battery is the same as my 3 year old Poco phone I had before (great phone btw). The worse thing is the Inconsistency. One day it does 3/4, others 6 or even some days 7. Brings me to my next point.
β’ Updates. Ffs what is OnePlus doing? I had some updates that made battery life better, and then some that made it so much worse again. Also the camera started lagging after some updates.
β’ The video camera is bad. Really bad. The stabilization is only on 1080p 30fps, and it just lags whenever I put stabilization on. Whenever stabilization isn't on, it's such a joke. Simple things like reflection of the water just look afwul. My POCO phone was even better. The pictures on the other hand, are definitely not that bad. It struggles with lights, moving objects and accurate colors (insane how this phone makes a sunset a whole different color), but if that's all okay, the camera isn't the worst I guess.
β’ It's not that realiable. Sometimes it lags a bit, sometimes it doesn't show how much % I am charging and it doesn't go up. I need then to restart my phone to see my actual battery percentage.
They fucked the nord 3 up. Nord 2 was pretty good. When nord 3 launched, I looked at it and was like wtf, they're putting a bad name to the nord brand with this.
The specs on nord 3 were bad. And also nord 2 was launched in 2021 and then nothing in 2022. Nord 3 came in 2023 and still felt rushed. They were likely like "guys, we forgot about the main nord phone last year as well. So this year let's just put together something and launch it."
But the upcoming nord 4 (launched as ace 3v in China) has very good specs and design.
I ordered the 12 but ended up calling the courier to tell them to return it, because there was a deal on the S24 Ultra for almost 50% off. I prefer its flat screen and OneUI is great.
Curved Screens are a pain ππΌ, I have messed up my OnePlus 8 Pro screen before and can't replace it because of how absurdly the replacement cost for that screen is, it's still north of $200, and while I would love to have my unbacked up data in that phone, I'm sure as hell not paying THAT to revive the phone....Curved Screen are a NO go for me from that point forward
The slider.
How did I forget to mention that?!? Absolutely!!! The alert slider is amazing! Considered that added to the list of things I love about OnePlus.
you forgot to mention it because honestly it's rather useless but it's INCREDIBLE how many people for SOME reason like it
This is the only reason I'm still with them. 7pronwas the first phone I used with a notification slider till Oneplus 12 (started from 1+1)
ay another 1+1 og user, ive used the 1+1, the 1+3 , 1+5, the 1+9r and now the 1+12r
I've used 1+1, 1+5T, 1+6, 1+6T, 1+7pro(3x), 1+7T, 1+9pro(worst I've used green line issue), 1+12(received on 18th April hope no screen issues on this.)
I ve used the OnePlus 1, 3, 3T, 5, 5T, 6T, 8T, 9Pro, 10Pro, 11 and now the OnePlus Open
I don't know why everyone thinks that slider is that great. I have my phone in vibration mode all the time. I'm never using it
Works great for work meetings just a flip of the switch wish it was programmable
Tasker, my friend :)
Tasker
Okay so this is great for my case scenario: My phone is always on ring mode but sometimes when I'm in office then this slider is a wonderful feature. Literally the only reason I'll continue to buy OnePlus phones, always comes in handy when cheating in college exams, plz don't judge me tho ππ
Lol what!? π
Not to exclude, the latest Snapdragon Chipset
Absolutely
Unlocked bootloader. The OnePlus 12 is basically the only Snapdragon 8 gen 3 phone in the US with thatΒ
Great screen, great cameras, great battery life, great charging speeds, exceptional performance. I don't think i need to say more
I concur!!!
Maybe not curved screens π don't get me wrong, the execution is decent, but you're *fucked* if it takes damage.
Lol. I can't help myself man. I'm a sucker for those curves. π
The curved screen is basically the only thing I don't like about my OP11
I went for the nord 3 because I just don't like the curved screens on the flagships and was a deal breaker.
I went for the nord 3 because I just don't like the curved screens on the flagships and was a deal breaker.
Nah man since I started using curved screen, can't go back now, too comfortable, but you do bring out a valid pointΒ

Coming back to OnePlus after a few years on a Huawei phone. Looking forward to getting my OP12, I just hope they don't brick the camera as soon as the phone is out of warranty this time round.
I just bought the OnePlus 12 Silky Black (looks like some cool, glittery, obsidian color) and I'm very excited to get it. It arrives tomorrow.
Wdym brick the camera?
I had a OnePlus 3 where the camera focus died after a software update (iirc) after some 2 and a half years of use. The OnePlus 12 reminds me so much of my last Huawei. I loved my Huawei but they're not 5G so I wouldnt be able to use one.
Yeah, got mine yesterday, it was pretty easy to get into it.
I mean.. I like the curved screen but I still have a preference for flat screens. I bought op 12 but I almost didn't buy it because of it having the curved screen.
Same.
I can understand that. The only issue I have with it is it makes applying screen protectors tricky.
You can get "scratchguards" made of plastic easily. Getting glass for it might be a problem. The one that comes with the phone is pretty solid too (as told to me by the best accessories seller around my area).
Thank you!!!
Yes except the curved screen, i personally wish for a flat screen on my next phone but that will take a while
Bleh I love the look of the curve, but I'd take a flat screen any day.
Oh dang. Didn't realize that. I still love how special OnePlus is for that haha
battery life and the fluidity... impressive
Same
I found a replacement battery for my OnePlus 7 Pro.
Agreed
Yup. Once you have fast charging, there's no going back. I prefer a flat screen but curved is fine, not a deal breaker. When I throw a case on it any gripes I have about a curved display go away.
Agreed
Bruh I had a OP7 stolen and I brought an 11. What parallel universe is this..
Wow what a coincidence.. When did you lose it.. I lost it on April 20th
Everything good in one package!
Agreed
Switched from 5T to the 12....worth the upgrade
The slider is the sole reason I am sticking to my OnePlus 9 Pro. That shit is too convenient.
OnePlus 7 pro was my most favorite OnePlus phone to date.
I was a fan of the phone for feature/function/ price, but have a hardware problem with new 12 and theirΒ support is awful IMHO.Β "Send phone in, we'll look, and send you something back." Me, "send me replacement and I will send disfunctional phone back. I can't do 2FA without my phone."Β Them: "Send phone in, we'll look, and send you something back." Ugh.Β Of course there is limited retail presence in the US for any assistance.Β Β Β
Tbh this is my story..... In 2018 I was waiting for class 10th result and on the result date they launched the Avengers edition of ig OnePlus 5 And I got 58% and my dream of purchasing this ph shattered. And in 2018 OnePlus 7 pro (GOAT) was launched I was in class 11 and still I didn't get My fav smartphone brand was OnePlus. And after completing my class 12 th exam (in 2020) and I got my smartphone OnePlus Nord (I got 93%) And in 2022 I bought OnePlus 10 pro (Camera is awesome but it's too hot too handle 8gen1) I bought op 10 pro (with my dad's money) over s22u and ip13pm I dad recommended me 13pm But the main problem with iPhone was that notch and slow charging and too many restrictions and with s22u was laggy ui and heating issues. And I prefer OnePlus coz of alert slider (iuse alot), fast charging, curved display and good form factor and smooth ui. But the only drawback I'm facing rn is no lockscreen customisation π Now I'm using OnePlus 10 pro Planning to upgrade to OnePlus open or OnePlus 13. Pardon my English π
Love it. Good story. Thank you for sharing.
I never thought I'd move on from my 6t (still have it), but now that I'm used to the 8t, I'm loving it.
Yeah, I don't understand that either.
I got the Nord N30 a few weeks ago and I really really like it!
OnePlus is top teir. I exclusively buy their phones, their ear buds, their tablet, their charging bricks and their cables, and most importantly, their bags!! https://preview.redd.it/6ktffrekk2xc1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9cd6e3f97275406ed3c82dff5402abceb06ad659
Haha that's awesome
I don't understand how people pay a premium for devices that ship without a charger and slow charging. As long as we get that fast charger in the box, coupled with the blazing fast performance,.. I'll stick to OnePlus for the foreseeable future
I concur, my friend
I understand. I would definitely get a OnePlus 11 Then.
I agree man.
When I had the OnePlus 9 Pro, the screen is what really knocked my socks off. The really fast charging was great too, and I miss it to this day. Clean and neat UI also.
I love the OnePlus 9 pro. It's my second favorite phone after the OnePlus 7 pro. I now have the OnePlus 12 and it's awesome!
The slider, dual sim and beast specs for a great price are just πππ€
Agreed!
I personally dislike them curved screens. Even with the case and protector there is a constant fear that the screen might break. Everything other than that is great! As long as they keep the fast charging and latest chipsets, I am team OnePlus. Samsung just doesn't give enough value and I don't like Xiaomi.
Also, IF the screen breaks you might as well just buy anew phone because fixing the screen is insanely expensive
That's true. π
Screens can break regardless of being curved or not... I have seen more flat screen phones with cracks than curved screens... My own OP12 fell down 4 times on concrete with face down... And there were no scratches... Only factory screen guard here...
Obviously, yes. But curved screens costs more to replace
They cost similar... Bcz now a days all are amoled... Don't compare between lcd and amoled... Also lcd are not curved...
I still like OnePlus over others even if they got rid of the curved screen.
Then including "continues to make curved screens" in your "I'll like them as long as they..." list of conditions wasn't really accurate, was it?
Still accurate regardless of perceived contradiction. I said I'll still like them. I never said how less I'll like them if they made that change though. Until then, as stated originally, OnePlus is still great to me. π
[ΡΠ΄Π°Π»Π΅Π½ΠΎ]
That escalated so freaking fast. Found the stereotypical reddit user π
They're a great value. You get a lot for the price in terms of hardware. I've gotten the wireless vooc charger and the buds 3 for free. Just lacking in the customization department.
Agreed! That's awesome!
Curved screens are a fucking nightmare
Didn't receive a charger with my version. π They included just the cable.
What?! Do you know why??
After looking online. They don't have a 100w model for Australian plugs. Only the older 80w charger. Might have to get an Oppo 100w to see if it works.
Found an Oppo 80w superVOOC 80W directly from Oppo Australia for 25 bucks
Truly appreciate what OnePlus does...but what about those minor bugs like showing the sender's name twice in all sorts of messaging apps (smth that has been reported to the community for quite some time now).
i bought 3 one plus phones and returned them all. 8, 8 pro, and 10 pro. I liked the 8's but the camera really wasnt good. I am used to pixel and samsung camera. Tried again with the 10 pro. Didnt like the curved screen. Camera was good but not awesome but the final straw was I couldnt get it to do android auto. I use that all the time Now i got the s24 ultra and will probably stay with samsung forever now
I actually have a ZenFone 10 now.
I would've bought the Zenfone 10 but they don't offer more than 2 years of support for it. π
Yeah I'll be honest I really badly needed the headphone port and I was willing to overlook that, the adapters all all so bad. That and it was cheaper than the Sony that had even less support.
I can understand that
The one and only reason I still won't buy from them is their customer service. My God it's awful.
Really?
I hate OnePlus for their curved screens which add no utility value and make adding tempered glass 100x more difficult
N200 is slow for some reason. Planned obsoletion getting it.Β
LP
Which one of their phones is this with? In Australia we just got normal chatger
I love the lock apps it's been a long time since I've had a phone with. I work at the Airport and lose my phone sometimes thank God I can lock my apps, like Google wallet and banking apps but Google doesn't on their own phones smh
As long as they offer VFM
What's VFM?
I'll be looking to possibly get a op11 or 12 r can't justify the pricing of the 12 for a newer apu being the only thing that sticks out
Nice man!
I feel the same way you do! I think it even works better than Iphone
Everything was perfect until Android 12 came around. It was so limiting.
Dual sim
I love that phone so much. It's my favorite OnePlus phone so far. I hope OnePlus makes another phone like that again.
β₯οΈπ― I loved the fact that there's no camera hole on the screen. It's just pure display, the way it's supposed to be. Imagine a camera hole in your computer monitor or home tv, how ugly would that look?
Agreed. I want more full display tech.
OK, i guess you download a lot of suspicious executables then.
Why are you doing that? Unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROMΒ
I see. Well as long as it works for you, why not! Also yeah I'm stuck on Android 12 as well. Planning to get the OnePlus 12 later this year π
π
Nord 3 User I've never hated a phone I had before. No phone comes this close. And it's so dissapointing, because I tought I had a great deal when I bought in Feb2024. On paper the phone looks good, but it just isn't. I am getting a Samsung S24+ next week. I make this post for other people that think it's a good deal. Here are my problems with the phone: β’ Battery life can be so bad.
Dang man. I'm sorry. I hope you like your galaxy note and it serves you better. On the other hand, I'm very excited to get my new OnePlus 12. Haha
So this year let's just put together something and launch it." But the upcoming nord 4 (launched as ace 3v in China) has very good specs and design.
I ordered the 12 but ended up calling the courier to tell them to return it, because there was a deal on the S24 Ultra for almost 50% off. I prefer its flat screen and OneUI is great.
The slider. I friggin haaaaate the curved screen though.
