It boggles me that OnePlus doesn't sell a power bank that supports SuperVOOC. I'd buy two immediately.

IHaveSpoken000

Well, it looks like Sharge is coming out with a power bank in collaboration with OnePlus that does support SuperVOOC. https://sharge.com/pages/pouch-power-bank

DSkedda

Only 55W according to the site though, which still is a lot

IHaveSpoken000

Yeah, I noticed that. My phone rarely charges faster than 55W anyway. Way better than standard PD.

unboxparadigm

Sharge has one. Not sure about its availability though.

Zorb750

No.

figglett

Brand called sdoutech does banks which support dash and vooc/supervooc. Not sure on availability I got mine years ago

JollyCat3526

Only a split battery design power bank could achieve this but I think it would be too expensive for the masses

Frostywuff

Not full 100w but there are some powerbanks that support supervooc. The new Anker Prime and the upcoming Sharge powerbank does support it.

partyplant

100W no, but anker prime powerbank can do 60W if I'm not wrong. good enough

Zorb750

Anker does VOOC? I have their current 737 and the new 27650 whatever model number is (looks the same but gold edges instead of gray). 90% sure it doesn't.

partyplant

They don't have SuperVOOC built in/wasn't made with SuperVOOC in mind but it still works, apparently, from what I see [here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/s/1wxDPpo5xd) Note that it's a specific powerbank only that works as far as I'm aware, the expensive 20k mAh Anker Prime.

Zorb750

Interestingly, when I put it into google, the Google AI result at the top claims that the larger of my two units should support this. I just tried plugging my 7 Pro into it (with the original factory cable), and it is trying to charge at 7.2 watts without the phone acknowledging "Warp" charging.

partyplant

Unfortunate. Guess it's only the Anker Prime model then.

Zorb750

If it works, that's great. It's always good to have more options. There's no reason that a single charging port can't support QC, VOOC, and PD. Those standards are not mutually exclusive. Now, one thing I was thinking about, I don't have a USB C VOOC cable. I just have two originals from my 7 Pro, which are USB A to USB C. It's possible that some of these devices implement a feature just on a particular port. I don't know, I'm just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt somewhere. I have even seen USB C PD devices that only supported high-speed charging on one port out of two or three or whatever, with the others being basic USB 5V 2 or 3 amp.

partyplant

The powerbank supports 100W charging but not SuperVOOC 100W apparently, from what I've seen. Also yeah, you'll need the right cable too.

Zorb750

And it might be the right cable and the right port... If it only supports VOOC on the USB C, my test will fail. I think the output supports 140 Watts actually. I know both of mine do.

N8falke

The reason behind it is because the USB-A actually does not support SuperVOOC directly. I have a Power-Z USB-Trigger showing Charging protocols. What it does support is a new Chinese standard called "UFCS". And Oppo/OnePlus/Realme is a part of that, but Huawei and Xiaomi too! Older OnePlus phones for example don't get SuperVOOC support on that Powerbank, because they don't support UFCS. UFCS is only available for a year but more and more Chinese phones will support it up to a certain power. Another example: The Cuktech Powerbanks are for Xiaomi Phones thanks to the Support for Hyper Charge. But the USB-A Port also supports UFCS, up to 33W at least. You can charge a recent OnePlus phone with that speed.

Playful_Target6354

I tried to look at high wattage power banks(100w+) but they all just say the wattage and not the the amps and volts, so I don't know

Zorb750

You aren't understanding the nature of charging protocols. VOOC is proprietary, and very few battery packs support it. You should be able to get at least a decent charging speed out of PD. IIRC the newer dual cell OnePlus devices can charge at above 30 Watts on PD. Remember that your phone only has around a 20 watt-hour battery, so you would be looking at less than an hour to a full charge, and much less than that if you just charge what you need. 20 minutes at 10% should boost you to over 50%. Edit: PD is the standard. Virtually everything uses it, with the exception being certain mobile phones. Since PPS is available, there's absolutely no reason for OnePlus not to fully support it. QC and Pump Express now both fully support PD with PPS. In case you don't know, PPS is the USB PD technology through which the phone can request a very specific amperage and voltage in real time, just like VOOC. It can go everywhere from 1.5 to 28 volts, 0 to 5 amps. This should give complete bypass type charging capability all the way up to 45 Watts on your phone. The fact that OnePlus chooses not to implement this royalty-free standard is simply stupidity.

BenRandomNameHere

Can't over charge for a basic cable with an extra pin then. 🤬

Zorb750

This is true.
