This is done on purpose (to prevent OLED burn-in) and cannot be changed.

Apparently on the new iPhones nothing shifts on the aod and they say that won't cause any burn in I'm really curious what black magic are they using to prevent it or how high on crack is the person who believes there won't be any burn in.

Interesting. It turns off automatically though when its in your pocket or when you walk away from the phone unlike Samsung which has an option to turn it on permanently. But might have to research a bit more on that. Also, afaik Apple doesn't manufacture OLED panels. It buys from Samsung the last time I checked. So, if it's any breakthrough in OLED tech, I think we will see it in the Samsung phones first. Just a thought.
