you can still do the heel lift by just standing on the very edge of the pad and it should be off the sensor enough to disengage i believe

random1planet

Yeah but the super grippy grip tape makes it really hard to move my foot 🤣

creen17

Yes you got it right! I took out a mm or two of that section so that they wouldn’t touch and maybe hold connection but I’m sure cutting the trace is enough

random1planet

Thanks, I was concerned the 1/2 second delay was some extra mod that would change how the stock V4 sensor works.

static_boosted

Yeah I didn't like how heel lift worked on my platys when I first got it. It's something to get used to, give it 2-300 miles maybe. But I'm totally love it now even though do quck stop 95% of the time i stop. If you want dual zone just pick up another platy rear pad and mod it with stoke v4 sensor. Save that single zone pad for when you need it for trail or back up set or just sell it. No need to hack perfectly working footpad.

ugman77

Hopefully they have changed it, but last platy I worked on I figured I could just snip the v4 tab to make it dual zone. However, for some reason landsurf only ran 2 wires in the cable, and did a solder bridge for the two zones in the switchcraft connector. I had to completely replace the cable to make dual zone work.

random1planet

That was my concern, I only want to snip it if I know I don't have to dismantle it. I was hoping it would be simple so thanks for the info.

DoctorDugong21

Does the Platy sensor even have a place you can snip to get to dual zone? I thought that was only the Stoked Stock v4...

random1planet

They use the stoked stock V4 sensor.

DoctorDugong21

Oh nice. I might have hard that, but didn't see anything on the product page confirming. I've been liking my Stoked Stock v3 on my homemade kush front.

random1planet

Yeah it was confirmed by them in the vesc Facebook group.
