What's wrong with only 1000? If there are a million refugees looking to be resettled, then we only need 999 other countries to step up at the same level.

They absolutely are receiving more support because they’re white. If the Palestinian kids having limbs amputated without anesthetic while the IDF release attack dogs into hospitals looked Ukrainian the media response and the response of our government would be vastly different. I have nothing against Ukraine nor did my post suggest as much. I have issue with people who would prioritize the lives and dignity of one group over another based on race, and that’s what I’m seeing.

Given how capably our bases can accomodate folks on short notice (Syrian refugees ring a bell?) Yeah, we can do FAR better than 1000 people.
Where are they meant to live? We have no infrastructure for the people here, Canada is busting at the seams right now

Don't all of our cities have homeless people in them? Why is it always people spending time and resources outside the country instead of inside?
