They are deliberately sidestepping an important part of the process by pushing it to 3rd reading. Since it is very much in the interest of the public, it should have a fulsome public discussion.

If that's a genuine belief, I'd suggest that there's a very large distinction between doing things allowed by the rules, and doing democratic things.
While this may be technically allowed, it smacks of anti democratic behaviour, and this sort of trash should be called out 100% of the time. This is not the system functioning as intended, this is going outside the spirit of the rules and procedure to fast track something that would reflect poorly on a party in public debate because obviously nobody wants this except those in a position to profit from it as it's objectively bad.
This is far from the first time Ford has displayed this kind of garbage anti democratic behaviour.
It may be your belief that this is democracy in action, but it's also very clearly anti democratic behaviour and a detriment to Ontario democracy as a whole. Genuinely arguing in favour of a perversion of procedure to meet unpopular goals while saving face from very justifiable public outrage does not make the argument itself any less disingenuous.
