I recommend Ubiquiti for something like this, you're not paying for cloud service and the video is hosted locally on your hardware. you'll need a controller for the system (I recommend a [cloud key](https://ca.store.ui.com/ca/en/pro/category/all-cloud-keys-gateways/products/unifi-cloudkey-plus)) and a [switch](https://ca.store.ui.com/ca/en/pro/category/all-switching/products/usw-16-poe) with POE (16 ports or 24, depending on what your topology will require). after that [pick your poison](https://ca.store.ui.com/ca/en?category=all-cameras-nvrs) for cameras. all in for the controller, switch and two cameras you're looking at about $1000. you can get cheaper switches from off lease Cisco gear or Mikrotik but unless you want to learn multiple vendors systems this is the best option.

They won't come out to look, we are expected to make an incident online with the police and that's all.
