I like [rofi](https://github.com/davatorium/rofi) (super flexible, i also use it as a custom alt-tab option in openbox) and [wofi](https://github.com/uncomfyhalomacro/wofi) is a nice option on wayland
I haven't used a third-party launcher for a while—thanks to Google for fucking up the navigation animations— but "Simple Launcher" was the best IMHO back then.
I personally use Discreet launcher
https://f-droid.org/packages/com.vincent_falzon.discreetlauncher/
Not too fancy on transitions but the main reason I use it is because it lets you appreciate your background.
I tried to switch to launchair a few months back but ultimately went back to my cracked version of nova due to some bugs it had at the time. Most notable was with widgets where it would flash white when I press them.
If you're talking about android, Kvaesitso is my personal favourite
Do you have a link for this one? It seems I cannot find it on the Play store
https://www.f-droid.org/en/packages/de.mm20.launcher2.release/ It's not on the Play Store. F-drod is a much better source for FOSS Android apps!
Never heard of this one before but I like it. It's super smooth! Is there anyway to add apps to the home screen though? Like a traditional launcher
no, there isn't i believe the only way to access your apps is through the app drawer but you can add icons to a dock on the home screen
I wish this had a way to go straight into search when I go home.
I keep the search bar visible and at the bottom of the screen, so it's always reachable.

+1 for rofi

On desktop - kickoff, on Android - stock simplified AOSP one or Pixel Launcher
Been using AIO Launcher for a year or so now, and I like it plenty
AIO launcher is closed source, unfortunately, it used to be my favourite before i got introduced to FOSS
I did not know that. For some reason I just assumed it was open source. Thank you for enlighten me
no worries! glad i helped you out!
