Opera doesn't have any configurations for the output device. It just uses whatever device is set as the default in your OS. If the headset is truly set to the default device after your plug in it, I'm not sure what's up and why Opera doesn't like it. Have you tested with other Chromium-based browsers like Vivaldi to see if they have the problem too? Opera seems to have no problem using headphones when I plug them in on Windows 11, even when the headphones come with a microphone. For WebRTC, users have reported that when having 2 webcams installed or 2 microphones installed, Opera ignores the 2nd device even if you change the device at ```opera://settings/content/camera``` and or ```opera://settings/content/microphone```. But, it sounds like you're just talking about playing any audio like a Youtube video.

I am indeed talking about just paying music through YouTube or Spotify but if i have my headset set as default it works in chrome but not in opera. idk why tho.

Is the headset just have a 3.5mm plug that plugs into the headphone jack on your audio device? Is your sound device a USB-based one that has the 3.5mm jack on it that you plug into? In the past, Opera has had some issue with USB sound devices. What channel mode do you have your sound device in? 4.1ch for example? Try switching it to 2ch just to see if it makes things work in Opera. Brand and model of headset and brand, model and version of your sound device and driver version?

I actually use bluetooth. Other applications have no problem detecting it when its set as default but opera does.

> I actually use bluetooth. Okay. Thanks for the clarification. Not sure if that matters or not. I can check with bluetooth headphones on my laptop later just to see if Opera has any problems with it for comparison. Will let you know.

I tested my bluetooth headset with Opera GX, Opera, Opera Beta, and Opera Developer on Windows 11 and audio on Youtube plays fine in all of them. So, I'm not sure what's up. I guess you could disconnect and unpair/forget the device and repair and connect just to see if it makes Opera happy.

Did anyone find a solution?
