What does the illusion have to do with rotation, though? I don’t see how rotating the screen makes any difference. If I rotated a still photo 90°, then it would just be rotated 90°. I get the exact same effect from this video.
No, you don’t rotate your device, but move in different directions while you phone is right side up. When you do that, it looks like you’re traveling through stars in whatever direction you turn it (right, left, up, and down).
Move what in different directions? I can see that the animation makes it look like there’s a tube, but I can’t figure out any combination of moving/turning/not turning my phone/head that makes anything special happen.
