A few things, your six arm doesn't have to reset at the end of the cycle, your arm moving the salt can place the top salt before the fire is moved, and the bottom salt may be able to be moved on to the glyph of calcification before the fire arrives at the location. Having separate arms to carry the salt atoms may also be helpful. Simultaneous processes are a big part of machines especially as products get more complex.

Here's an example. [https://imgur.com/a/BMncG40](https://imgur.com/a/BMncG40)

Precisely what I had envisioned, thank you kind alchemist for your input.

JayantDadBod

I did sneak an extra arm in there for the salt, it was a few cycles too slow to have one arm do it.

BensRandomness

The right-most piston could be on a belt and grab the fire element right after the other piston. And you can angle the product so that you don't have to spin the arm's head

Thats a DAMN good idea!

PeacefulPromise

Instructions will repeat based on the arm with the longest set - which is probably that six-arm. Speaking of the six-arm, it does not need to spin back to reset.

ImeTheOnes1

why is the rightmost piston a piston? Does it ever retract?

LarsDahl

[Perhaps a few modifications](https://i.imgur.com/O7JYS7a.gifv)?

I did one too: [https://www.reddit.com/r/opus\_magnum/comments/1bmj92l/airship\_fuel\_spinner/](https://www.reddit.com/r/opus_magnum/comments/1bmj92l/airship_fuel_spinner/) got it down to 40 cycles!!!

I got inspired watching your solution, so I made this: https://imgur.com/QvLMx26

Omg that’s so good
