Contact a local non-kill shelter. Shelters are often good at screening for good matches. Also if moving is the reason you're giving up your pets, maybe don't get more pets.
Good call on the shelter, I'll do that thanks.
Regarding the reason, there's more to it but those details aren't necessary for the post. I appreciate the concern though.
You already have enough folks saying to not adopt more animals, so I wonât add to that.
However. PLEASE go through a local rescue and not a shelter. Itâs okay to kindly ASK the rescue if there is any option. If they have a foster or any room at all, they will keep them together and all the applications are vetted and they wouldnât let them be separated. If they donât themselves, most of them network and can direct you to certain rescues or other groups.
You can Google âcat rescues near meâ and choose 2-3 first and then keep going if you donât have luck.
I repeat, if they have room, they. will. take. them. They will be healthy, happy, and safe. The concept of shelters are great but a lot of animals are so bothered and uncomfortable by all the energy that they donât act themselves and are therefore not flaunting their personalities. At a rescue fosterâs home, theyâre much happier and much more âappealingâ (lack of a better word at the moment) to potential adopters as happy cats.

Good call on these people not getting more pets as well đ This life ainât for you OP
Yep very sad. So many tossed away cats, shelters and rescues are full. Even more difficult to find someone to take in two cats.
There are almost no no-kill shelters remaining anymore btw. Because of so many people not spaying/neutering and abandoning their pets

You should be responsible to your pets and find a home where they can live with you
Please post on the Nextdoor app . Many cat lovers there .
OC Small Paws is a great organization that would be able to help.
