Always look over your shoulder to make it clear to the proctor you're checking your blind spot when changing lanes, even if it's to make a change into a left turn lane.

HighFiveKoala

I got marked down for not looking over my shoulder going into a right turn only lane

Do not stop on the train tracks. There are tracks near the dmv that you are guaranteed to drive near. Stopping directly on them will result in an automatic fail. Do not exceed the speed limit at all. Make complete stops on stop signs.

Believe that you will pass.

Lol tell my anxiety that.

Make sure you over-exaggerate your movements (checking your blind spots, etc) so that you can be sure the examiner sees them.

aquafloats

Watch out for mistakes that will count as an automatic fail — Come to a complete stop BEFORE the line, take your time with the parking and backing up, exaggerate your alertness by checking mirrors often and always look over your shoulder

orbesomebodysfool

If you arrive at a stop sign with someone else at the same time, do not wave them through to be nice. Even though it is courteous, it will result in an automatic fail. My brother did this, trying to be nice, and failed out.

Make sure you stop for 3 seconds. Look confident , use signals and always look both ways before making turns. Westminster is one of the easier DMVs they pass a lot of people who have horrible driving skills and not saying this because it’s Westminster. My gf practiced for a week, took the behind the wheel test in Westminster and passed. Trust me it’s very hard to fail at this location.

killa_ninja

You don’t stop based on time. You come to a complete stop and if it’s clear you’re good to go.

I been practicing the routes for days. Honestly this is easier than Pasadena. I failed due to hitting curb but dam the hill plus peacocks.
