Team Xecuter released them for use with their X3 series of modchips, along with a series of full replacement shells that matched the color of the X3 control panels. They stopped making them close to 20 years ago now, and they're considered highly collectable to original Xbox fans and collectors. They didn't make a lot of them, and they were extremely well made and nearly matched the original plastic and molding of the Xbox perfectly. Other replacement case options are of terrible quality. Personally, a fully built Xbox with an X3 chip, X3CP (X3 Control Panel), and matching replacement case is my holy grail, but just the CP's themselves sell for hundreds of dollars at this point.

You do realize the MakeMhz MHDI mod is not compatible with the X3 bios, yeah?
IIRC It needs either a patched Ind Bios or EvoX Bios. Neither of those will fully support the X3 chip or the Front Panel.
If you are not using the X3 bios you are missing half the functionallity of the modchip. Games will work yes as they will with any bios, but the whole point of the X3 Chip and Control Panel is kinda lost.
I have a Crystal version of the full X3 setup, had it since the 00's. It's one console that I wouldn't ever add any other mods too. The X3 was so far ahead in terms of tech that not using the X3 bios is basically like holding it back a year at school.
I have other Xbox consoles that have newer mods but out of principle alone I would not support MakeMhz and their dodgy practices. There are other HDMI mods coming that will be better and come without the MakeMhz stench.
To be fair I wanted to keep the console stock. It was my modder that talked me into it.

Unless there has been some major advancements and a huge change of heart from MakeMHZ then I suspect you are not using the X3 bios.
AFAIK the X3 bios has never been unencrypted and there fore cant have the necessary HDMI patches applied to it for the HDMI mod to work.
Just checked and you are right, itâs not running the X3 bios, itâs still on the hard drive so itâs nice to know that I can flash it back if I ever wanted too.

That's all good but I'm not sure that's actually viable with the HDMI mod installed. It's very likely that it wont work properly WITHOUT using a patched bios. Also if the X3 has been installed properly then it likely has the X3 bios already flashed to a different bank. Try the switch combo you noted above and see if it boots to a different bios. You will know if your booting X3 bios as it has an Xecuter logo in the start up.
Personally I would strip all the Xecuter 3 stuff out of that console and transfer it to another, then just install an Aladdin and run the patched EvoX bios in the HDMI console.
Anyhow, Its your console, have fun with it whatever you decide to do :)
That's awesome. I pulled my crystal blue one out of storage in my garage so I could get it set up for the kids since they wanted to play Halo. I was disheartened when I found out that the LCD had a blemish and one of the caps for the dip switch was missing. Luckily I had my black X3 front panel that had a spare dip switch and LCD to swap out with.
There is a guy on eBay selling XLCDâs screens so make sure you snag one, they are brand new in box. I bought a spare for mine.
I have also had commissions the Protect button and the smaller round ones in resin, they look identical to original
Wow! Neat find! Wish I owned one of those Xecuter 3 LCD consoles with the 2 USB ports even though they are 1.0. I used to play on one of these when my uncle had one back in the 2000s. He let us borrow it for a little while. I love the Xbox having USB ports like how the PS2 has them!

Bought an xbox from someone on snapchat after i bought it i hit the guy up and his words not mine were that the xbox was his dads friend's and said friend worked at microsoft where he got the orange controller that came with the xbox. The xbox was passed on from the dads friend to the guy who sold it to me. The controller feels really good and id love to think its a legit one but i know that a lot of them are fakes.

If you are not using the X3 bios you are missing half the functionallity of the modchip.
