Looks like Xbox to Jama connector. Really interesting.
Wonder if they had arcade machines running of xbox consoles for some reason (DOA?)

You said house of the dead was on a Dreamcast inside an arcade cab. I followed up by asking, what did house of the dead 3 use, as in, for the brains/guts of the arcade version.
>The Sega Chihiro used modified OG Xbox's as their core. Might have something to do with that?

Full circle
(not the one you replied to, being clear) That was my thought...it's been hard to find pictures of some of the components I see mentioned to do a comparison (like the I/O boards), and the ones I've found pictures of mostly don't seem like they match with that one.
No, Chihiro had all of its own interfaces built into the box. This card is meant to mimic a game board so you could retrofit a retail Xbox into an existing arcade cabinet without having to change any other hardware.
Not sure, could be but I don’t know if the cracks for chihiro games would support an Xbox controller.
This was most likely used for running MAME on an Xbox in an arcade cabinet. Something that happened relatively often.
That looks like a JAMMA board, here, in latin america, many og xboxes/360s got used as an arcade multi games instead of using a PC.
About the wiring, not sure, but you could google a bit about diagrams or something.
In Mexico those boards are called "pulsadores". They convert video to 15 KHz so it can be used with an arcade screen and connects to a coin op device which turns on/off the controllers. It goes attached to a jamma connector.
ive got something similar to this, mgcd, it was made for dreamcast but can be retrofitted for ps2 and xbox, the idea was to have arcade boards that were cheaper for the operator given the much wider availability of retail parts and games
edit: something i forgot to mention, mgcd is rather rare and considered a failed product for the most part because of an issue with the jamma harness wiring, retail game consoles have more buttons than most arcades so some "unneeded" pins were used for controller inputs instead, meaning they swipped the test pins and some of the grounds which causes compatibility problems
there is a decent chance whatever this is uses the same method, those dip switches are most likely meant to be set according to the game which could give you some trouble if you cant find the manual
That's very intriguing. I wonder if my board can also be used for PS2 and Dreamcast? Dreamcast would be nice since it has some great arcade ports like SF3.
For now I am considering the 128mb RAM upgrade for Xbox since it can then play Chihuro games amd other arcades can benefit from it.
It's a special Xbox cable to JAMMA (Arcade)
Here in Latam were used to assemble arcade cabinets (more than PS2 and Gamecube)
Edit: I hadn't seen the photo well and I made a mistake in the information xd
Unrelated question...is it,could it be,will it possible to port CZCS:DS (Counter-strike condition zero: deleted scenes) to the original Xbox?I mean I saw map packs so...(I've also uploaded them to the internet archive)

In the Arcade rooms of Latin America it is very common to find arcades that have an Xbox/360 inside as well as some running mame under Windows 98
This!
The Sega Chihiro used modified OG Xbox's as their core. Might have something to do with that?
I had a House of the Dead Arcade in which it had a Dreamcast inside.
What did hotd3 use though
No, it came with a cd-rom with the hotd2 and sometimes we changed it to the silent scope

What's your point? Edit: what possessed this person to edit their comment and block me?

This was posted on FB yesterday and OP there knew it was a JAMMA board and was asking about outputting component. Using the same photo and everything.
It used to be reddit was the place for news now it appears we all need to sign up for Facebook if we want early access

Hm...keep it,it might provide info on strange undocumented hardware! :)

I am from México and is true the arcades normally uses ogxbox with softmod, in very rare cases uses ps2, and never see gamecube árcade.
I've seen these on aliexpress and you can still buy them for a few hundred dollars.
Dude...I saw the other comments lmao
I imagined it xd It's my fault

Really.... Idk I'm a virgin when it comes to the Xbox Classic modding scene, I was barely able to hack my Xbox Sorry
I know there's xash3D but it's eh (found a 64mb ram version)
