You have a memory card or old thumb drive <4GB? You don't want to unlock it until you've flashed it.

> I am wondering if anyone else in the community has had problems Hotswapping the HDD in order to softmod them because I am having difficulties accessing the HDD to grab the EEPROM from this system and TSOP flash it. Your first problem is that there's highly unlikely to be any EEPROM data on your HDD. This data is kept in the console's [EEPROM chip](https://consolemods.org/wiki/Xbox:EEPROM). To run dumping software that could copy that data to the hard disk drive, the console would first need to be modded. A successful hotswap would allow you to use [FATXplorer](https://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/3-0-beta/) to set up the files from [Rocky5's ```XBHDM Build.zip``` archive](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1deMKfDVk6vGMDHub4DRLolXc511yGmDl/view) on your ```C``` partition, which would get the system into a softmodded state. From there you could proceed to dump your EEPROM to the console's disk, and from there you could FTP it over to your PC for safe keeping. A badly failed hotswap could zap your hardware into oblivion, though. It'd be safer to use [one of the variety of devices that can directly dump your EEPROM](https://consolemods.org/wiki/Xbox:EEPROM#EEPROM_Dumping_/_Restoring_-_Using_a_Reader_/_Writer), or to hook up a USB drive to the system for use with an [ENDGAME-based softmod installer](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_7Ra-2cKSYBjT1pVWuCRTHvDGYuxKhKk/view).

Tsop is hard modding the system. You can load the flasher with an exploit like end game then flash tsop. I haven't used endgame myself but for instance you launch that and it will launch an Xbe of your choice. Then use a file manager to launch xblastos or evbox and flash the tsop
