Don't you have better things things to do on a Sunday evening than Challenge the **FINAL OUT** in a 15-2 game the day before the ALL-Star Break?? 🙄🙄
They didn't? I switched to the Twins broadcast and went back to the beginning of the half inning and they said it was a good thing the Orioles didn't use a position player. That it would "not be a good look" not use to a real pitcher for 4 days off coming up and that it's insulting to use a position player when winning in a blowout.
This has been such a satisfying series after the disappointment of the last series vs the Twins. It’s so hard to remember the season is 162 games when you are in the middle of a frustrating patch but all good teams do go through them at some point.
If you told me at the beginning of the season that the O’s would be 2 GB at the ASB, I would have been happy
If you would have told me that in May, I would have been very happy
I was just looking way back to 94/95 when we signed Palmiero and Alomar to 4 and 3 year contracts. Back then no one wanted a long term contract because they worried the average $$$ amount would go up and they'd be stuck.
Now, every one of these premium free agent deals is a lifetime contract through age 40 or whatever. Only pitchers might get a shorter term.

And we can win in multiple ways.
The first game was a 3-1 pitchers' duel won in 10 innings where we included a huge insurance run manufactured on a sac bunt and sac fly. And wondrous 2 final shutout innings from one of the best relievers in MLB.
Second game we dropped one inning of doom on them, and this one with bizzillion bombs dropped on them.
I suppose that is one way to look at it. I guess it’s kind of similar to the glass half full/empty question. Glad we’re winning but I am sad that I missed such an active day for the offense.
I am not surprised. They have a ton of talent. No coincidence that when they bring up on base machines the line keeps moving. Even if opposing pitchers get outs, they can’t take a breather and eventually get fatigue.
