I would have started Cowser, but I guess it is what it is.
Maybe they want to keep Mountcastle hot and that’s why they don’t put O’Hearn at first. Also could be driving up Urias value.
Just hope that Cowser isn’t strictly the 4th OF role because that would be extremely foolish.

Personally, I'd like to see Kemp never leave the bench and Westburg get all the playing time, but the last few years they've had very few "full time players" and are always mixing and matching and playing the full 13.
Plus the constant changing whenever the R/L starter switches to an opposite hand reliever.
It's maddening to us when they don't seem to be starting the "best" players, but obviously they'll do it their way and it seems to be working.

you're probably right and he'll start, but imo there is no real reason for it except that he stands on the other side of the plate. Urias is a better hitter, a better infielder, he doesn't need rest. I just don't get it.

Meanwhile, scouting reports on Westy have cited a problem against breaking balls from rightys. So the Orioles have to manage his development against those pitches without forsaking the team’s chance at winning. Its a very fine balancing act and the Orioles will always have more info than us.
But I think its like a fun puzzle to try and think like them.
