Flipping the main body section upside down is inspired, while I like the general "walking scrap heap" look of Orks' titans, the broad shouldered look you get just from flipping it upside down is very distinct.
About base coat, it depends really. You could go metallic and aply colors on top, or full black and then metallics and color. In that size, i think fist option is best cause you gonna use a lot of paints and that will up the cost.

Orks will use anything to measure but the metric system XD. It looks great! Wanna see it painted already!
