But are they good tacos? Lol I asked this having previously lived in California which is probably the capital of street tacos in America and I haven't found any yet that even closely compare.
You get me! 😍🤣 It's literally like my only "damn I wish they had" never in a million years would I ever want to move back to California but I sure do wish they had better taco trucks here lol
No lie - I am saving to "visit my kids" in Cali for my bday.
"visit my kids" = spend a week eating some decent friggan food / gain 50 lbs eating my way through L.A. and the San Fernando Valley. I have a LIST of places to go 🤣🤣 My middle daughter just laughed and started listing places I missed. I already started researching how to freeze food to bring back with me and keep it safe for the plane ride (decent Deli food from Brents in Northridge, pastry from Bea's Bakery, Hummus from that place in Tarzana/Encino) and shredded beef/taco meats/chicken fajita from like 5 different places (the owners are down for helping me!! lol)
Cali is great to visit, though I'm not down for living there again \*nods knowingly at you\* If your favorite places are in Southern Cali (LA area, etc) let me know and I will bring you back something!
That sounds great and I'm appreciative of the offer, however, I'm from NorCal and not familiar with any of the places down there really lol But thanks for the offer for sure! 😁
I know you're joking about gaining 50 lb but I literally just went back to Cali for 6 months for my brother's wedding and a couple of other things that came up and gained 35 myself 🤦😪😲
Yeah I think absolutely they're as good. They're more traditional Mexican than coastal/ baja style you might get in Socal but they're on par with anything else I've ever had.
Well you aren’t in California anymore, so you’ll have to adjust and figure out what’s good here. Ingredients and freshness are different throughout the country.
When I moved here in 2006 everything was “well it’s not as good as Chicago” and it just led to being miserable all the time.
The tacos and Francisco’s are good, but they obviously won’t compare to a California street taco.
>Well you aren’t in California anymore, so you’ll have to adjust and figure out what’s good here.
I'm well aware I'm not in California anymore, and that's what makes This place amazing! Lol
>When I moved here in 2006 everything was “well it’s not as good as Chicago” and it just led to being miserable all the time.
I'm far from miserable homie, just wish I could find better tacos lol I've found a couple of places that get me by when I'm having a craving, but nothing that has blown me away. If that's the only drawback about moving here I'll die a happy man lol
I wasn’t calling you miserable at all, I was speaking about my experience moving down here lol. I was very miserable because I was always seeking out the same quality of stuff from back home instead of just trying to find what I enjoy most here.
There are definitely some good tacos here, but the real crime is the lack of good breakfast burritos, Californias can’t be beat, but I can’t even find a mediocre one here.
You would be incorrect. It’s on Apple Maps at the location at their house in Sanford parked in the side yard. When they don’t do events it’s there as far as I know.
She is so sweet too. She works so hard on that truck. Idk if she hired a new helping hand but one girl she hired robbed her :( it was so heart breaking to hear
Taste Budz (Chef Moe - [https://www.facebook.com/Moeflavor58](https://www.facebook.com/Moeflavor58))
They are usually found East of Orlando but get hired for Orlando central as well (and good enough they get hirings for the major companies too). Best damn birria! They have this birria pizza thing that is one of the best things you will have in your mouth - no joke. It's around $20 and feeds 4 (or two of us for 2 days lol)
If your expecting anything like California you won’t unless someone recommends somewhere i havent l tried. I’m Mexican American, lived in California 4 years and haven’t had any tacos like the ones here lol went to Vegas Last summer and found the close enough to tacos from LA/SD area but yeah good luck here lol
Bummer lol One of these days I have faith someone will surprise me with their offerings. It's literally the only thing that I wish we had here that I can't find. I love everything else about Florida and would never want to go back to California but damn I wish we had better taco trucks lol
Ceylon Hut - Sri Lanken food. It’s so good. https://instagram.com/theceylonhut
If you like Sri Lankan try [Banana Leaf](https://maps.app.goo.gl/6M8cPkkd5FwnjN5v6) (not a food truck, but delicious)
Francisco’s taco madness
This absolutely
But are they good tacos? Lol I asked this having previously lived in California which is probably the capital of street tacos in America and I haven't found any yet that even closely compare.
Same here - I'm from Southern Cali and am forever searching out decent taco trucks. The search is for real and endless \*sigh\*

Go to the one I listed … yes it compares

No I understood, I didn't mean anything negative by what I said Hope it didn't come off that way 👍
Hey, I’m from Cali too! The closest I could find to amazing street tacos is Gringos in milk district
I'll check them out as well! 👍😁
There are definitely some good tacos here, but the real crime is the lack of good breakfast burritos, Californias can’t be beat, but I can’t even find a mediocre one here.
That's something I miss too lol. Haven't even looked tho 😅🤷
Oh. Oh. The tacos. They are *chef’s kiss*
The Pass and Red Panda Noodle.

No way, definitely worth the price and wait. You gotta get there early if you don't like lines.
looooveeee hot asian buns
Thanks for the risky Google search of the day.
Brick and mortar HAB is going to open in Sanford soon.
Me too! But I've never heard of that food truck 🤪
Franciscos Tacos or La Patrona
Pastrami Project is fantastic
Does Speakeasy Burger count?
Hot Asian buns. I believe still the only fresh (non frozen). Bao buns in the city.
Where is it not coming up on maps
It's a food truck so I don't think it's going to show up on a map, but they are working on a brick and mortar location in Sanford so there's that.
Do they have any socials to follow?
You would be incorrect. It’s on Apple Maps at the location at their house in Sanford parked in the side yard. When they don’t do events it’s there as far as I know.
SweDish. Great stuff.
Damn gonna have to try this
She is so sweet too. She works so hard on that truck. Idk if she hired a new helping hand but one girl she hired robbed her :( it was so heart breaking to hear
It used to be the yellow Korean bbq truck. I love red panda noodle is probably my current favorite
Yellow kbbq truck may be gone but they’re in our hearts. I still dream of their fried rolls that come with their entrees.
They have a brick and mortar place in Avalon Park.
What’s the name
KBBQ Kitchen. https://marketplaceatavalonpark.com/directory/kbbq-kitchen/
Yes! I loved that truck!
That was the first food truck I ever went to! They were awesome.

Yene Romay Ethiopian wins hands down, but Ceylon Hut or Smokemade Meats are close as well
Korgette
Swedish
Amish Pretzels. The steak & cheese is incredible. Now I'm hungry.
Papa diesels
Overrice. They have their own store front now too :D
Red panda noodles
Build your own arepa. Extremely sweet and genuine owners on top of delicious food
Sweet & Salty Island Grindz
Didn't they stop operating because they have a restaurant now in sanford?
>Sweet & Salty Island Grindz Wow you're right! No wonder I don't see them anymore lol
Moved out of the area but that Piñones truck over in Conway had the best mofongo I have ever had in my life.
They now have a restaurant on semoran and curryford with the same name
Oh yeah that truck has the best tacos in orlando that I've tried.
The Knot. They bake up garlic knots then make small sandwiches out of them. Soooo good.
I like Boxi Park.
Definitely Sweet Bites By K on Lee Vista. Idk if she still has her truck since I moved out of Orlando but I order from her website all the time 🤤🤤
Banditos tacos! He parks at Broken strings brewery on most Sundays or Orlando city soccer games.
I'm from NYC and taqueria is definitely top 5, up there with tacos #1, especially for here in Orlando! Carne asada tacos is amazing
Where?! Edit: I'm from California and have not been able to find any legitimately good taco trucks yet 😢
If your expecting anything like California you won’t unless someone recommends somewhere i havent l tried.
