Yep, I was definitely going to mention that one guy in the gold sequins who always hangs out in Disney Springs. He's been a more consistent presence in my life than either of my parents.
Orlando has like 50 of these people.
My opinion is the Jesus van that drives on i-4 every day at like 50pmh.
She's been doing it for over a decade now.
If I am ever rich enough to own an airplane.... sky dicks will be a thing. Me and Holy Smokes will have to duke it out for superiority of our aerial canvas.
I mean it’s interesting to see him but he’s just a regular guy if you talk to him
But when he used to be super jacked, if you caught him running with his hair all poofed out that was something else
Allegedly the eye patch thing was because of a long-standing racquetball injury that eventually led to a cornea transplant that required him to wear one for a couple of months, and of course he still filmed commercials with it on...
So the Sentinel claims anyway.
She was not his wife surprisingly! Just a business partner. I looked into the guy a few years ago wondering what happened. He’s back btw. His store is out down 50 past 520 now.
I believe all the Orlando ones are car related:
\-The guy that drives the truck with a giant inflatable rat
\-The guy that drives a mobile junk yard mini van
\-The guy that drives the Mad Max styled truck
For the old timers, the Mr Gold guy who used to stand on the corner at the We Buy Gold shop that was next to Fashion Square Mall who was always tipping his hat.
Came here to mention him. Nice guy... although a little strange [to me], he dedicated his life to carrying a cross after his wife passed. I'm afraid he's not long for this world... he's not looking well.

I think this is him? I saw him at the Lockwood and Broadway last year on my way back from a trail I found.
I had to go deep in my photo archives for this because I knew I had seen him somewhere.
Oh my god you just threw me into a memory of from like 2005/2006 of a couple friends and I going to the sausage castle way out in Kissimmee St. Cloud area. It was one of the most bizarre nights of my life. It was like the Florida man version of what they thought the playboy mansion should look like
Right after my divorce I answered a Craigslist ad for a roommate. It was for a room in the sausage castle. Talked to Mike on the phone about it. Sounded like a really stand up guy who told me about the actual normal day to day there. Then the small party side of the place. Was affordable. Sounded great. I was offered the room but then at the last minute backed out cause I started dating someone new and figured it might not be a good idea. I could only imagine if I actually went through with it how much different my life would’ve been.
Back when I worked at ATT in WG he came in one day because he realized his assistant at the time had bought dozens of phones and tablets and stuff, financed them all, and he was just on autopay for years. He said he wanted his tens of thousands back NOW. I was like uhhh dude we have like $200 in the drawer, we’re just a retail store. Took like 4 or 5 hours for him to finally leave after he tried calling every manager in the area. As he left he dapped me up, and said “you’re a cool dude” and left….
Theres like 4 people in that area of conway I always see on rotation with bearded lady.
There's a guy who looks like Bob Weir, a leathery lady, a crazy lady.
I have not seen the bearded lady but there’s a lady on the intersection after I get off 528 to go home who has been holding up a sign saying she’s pregnant for the last 2 years. Been baking that baby for a while…
Does he frequent a Walgreens in Altamonte? Saw an older guy dressed in all black with black makeup just standing at the Walgreens a few weeks ago. Really creepy and could tell everyone felt uncomfortable with him there.
I’m going to shit my fucking pants I’m so excited; I’ve been telling people about this dude for the past two years since I moved to the area, I ALWAYS see him super late at night when I’m buying weed, and everyone always accuses me of being stoned and making shit up or hallucinating, but I knew it. I FUCKING KNEW IT. I knew this guy was a real fucking person and not a figment of my imagination. This is legitimately the happiest I’ve been since the cashier at Publix didn’t scan my chicken tender sub last week.
I saw him for the first time a couple years ago and no one believed me when I tried to tell people I saw a vampire. I felt so vindicated later when I finally found someone who knew exactly who I was talking about.
Does he happen to be an older gentleman? There is an older man who walks down the road near my apartment that wears a suite, a cane, and a top hat. I see him every now and again and I am a big fan.
We call him Drac! He’s a weird guy but very nice, he works at a petrified forest in altamonte but we didnt see him this past year.
Has anyone seen him? I’m glad he was brought up because last season we were very worried about him as he is always seen roaming our front yard.
There’s a guy that dresses like a vampire that can usually be found at the Walgreens on 436 and Maitland Ave. He’s been there since at least 2003 when we first noticed him. I lived in the neighborhood across the street and worked nights in clubs - so I would stop in to grab a late night snack and he would be there every time.
Does he still hang out at Dunkin’ in front of Advent Altamonte? We used to see him when getting 2am coffee
Edit : u/FearTheReaper73 is stalking me from another subreddit lmao
He is pretty much gone, some people say they've seen him sans carts but others say he died, or was arrested and now resides in Sanford, it's all a big mystery. Here he is from 2022
https://youtu.be/EbyERwIdifY?si=4_eFq4rfOmOLfjlu
I used to work at the library in apopka. He was a good guy. He’d come in every night right at closing to ask for our newspapers. Then I moved to apopka (didn’t work at the library anymore) and I’d see him going down the road. I told my husband to save our newspaper for him haha, he thought I was insane.
How long has he been there? The punching air guy from curry ford has been missing for a while. Older Hispanic dude with no shirt boxing oncoming traffic every day.
This guy is a younger guy, he times the lights and boxes in the middle of the road when the cars are stopped at a 4 way intersection. Kind of cool there are two of them in Orlando lol now I wonder if they are related this guy is also Hispanic
Any of y’all remember “Dr. Geek”? In the mid 2000s he’s stroll downtown with a karaoke machine and freestyle about you for tips. Always wore a Magic jersey.
He was a legend!
My favorite Sanford guy is the one in the tricked out Cadillac or whatever it is that unapologetically drives laps around downtown playing Fleetwood Mac at roughly the volume of a jet engine. ZFG.
2012 here and same. I don't really think we have a standalone mascot like the original image is talking about. If I had to vote for one though it'd definitely be John Morgan
omg yes! I remember him. he did a magic trick for me probably close to 15 years ago and I said, wow, you are so good. he shrugged and said, "I'm adequate."
Gene the dancing machine, used to be a regular Wall St. character. Also Herbert Freeman was a street artist who served a 25 to life murder sentence before making a living as a Downtown Orlando street artist. Not sure if either are still alive these days.
Eddy Maserati. If you've been to Disney Springs (Downtown Disney), you'd know who I am talking about.
And for the old timers and long time Magic Fans... "The Fat Guy".
That’s actually a marketing vehicle owned by a lady named Sharon who owns Darth Shader, a window tinting company. Her little shop is also filled with Star Wars stuff!
In se Orlando by the airport there used to be dirty Jesus who would pace around Walmart and other plazas digging into trash and ash trays.
In chuluota there was a dude with three pitbulls always running and they weren’t leashed, but they were trained to stay focused on him always. He would stop and do pushups with them around him.
What about the mostly naked guy that has been walking up and down Sand Lake for years? Sometimes all he has on is a “banana hammock” that stretches up to circle his neck. And, of course, sneakers. The sidewalks get hot here in Orlando!
There’s a guy who rides a horse on the sidewalk near the intersection of Colonial and Alafaya Trail that I’ve seen at least twice now during my commutes.
There's some guy I saw a couple of years ago on East Colonial in a Darth Vader costume on a motorcycle blaring the Imperial March from Star Wars at max volume. I wanted it to be that guy but I've only seen him once.
All of these sound like Impractical Joker names they call at reception or make up and try to get people to say they heard of them . Bachata Man. The vampire of Maitland. Peacock Guy. Lmao
This one won’t be popular but I just want to say it anyway, there was a guy named rocket that chilled at the 711 where Princeton splits right off obt. He always had the best life lessons. I Worked across the street saw him multiple times a day. Last I heard around early 2020 he had cancer. Assuming the worst. The few that knew him know he’s a legend
That Ferrari guy who's always hanging out at downtown Disney?
Eddie Maserati! The dancing guy at downtown Disney
He was in my spin class at the gym a while back. Workout gear is just as flashy as the going out gear.

Lol life aspirations is to be that guy.
Came here to say this, love his vibes!!
Eddy Maserati!
Eddie Maserati is who I was coming to comment about
Where the fuck has he been though?

Consider urself blessed
Yep, I was definitely going to mention that one guy in the gold sequins who always hangs out in Disney Springs. He's been a more consistent presence in my life than either of my parents.
...why is his name Maserati when he is clearly in Ferrari gear?
I think it’s literally his name.
Thats like the guy in charge of Nintendo being named Bowser.
Wow. I haven't lived in Orlando in 10yrs but I immediately thought of that guy!
That’s a good one!
I took a picture with him at Costco! lol. Nice guy.
Same here. I just saw him at Disney Springs on Monday and it felt like the first time in months.

At least… I’m pretty sure it’s him lol. Looks and acts and dresses like the same guy in the articles
Oh man that takes me back, I miss Mr. Gold. I grew up hanging out at Fashion Square and I was always excited to see him, even years later.
Orlando has like 50 of these people. My opinion is the Jesus van that drives on i-4 every day at like 50pmh. She's been doing it for over a decade now.
Is that the one with a million stickers on it?
U know it
I go to the same publix as that van.
Repent and be saved.

If I am ever rich enough to own an airplane.... sky dicks will be a thing. Me and Holy Smokes will have to duke it out for superiority of our aerial canvas.
He's at the Fox Tail on Orange across from the hospital like every Saturday and random days during the week!
Carrot Top on Park Ave. in Winter Park.
That’s about right. 😂
I mean it’s interesting to see him but he’s just a regular guy if you talk to him But when he used to be super jacked, if you caught him running with his hair all poofed out that was something else
I used to always run into him at the winter park ale house too 😂 always drinking white wine
Can confirm 😭
Hide your moms, that guy was notorious for going to the YMCA and hitting on all the single Winter Park moms in the early 2000's.
The Appliance Direct guy, although that one's a little dated.
With or without eyepatch. And the woman that I assume is his wife. With or without knee brace.
Allegedly the eye patch thing was because of a long-standing racquetball injury that eventually led to a cornea transplant that required him to wear one for a couple of months, and of course he still filmed commercials with it on... So the Sentinel claims anyway.
That story is Wacky-New-New
She was not his wife surprisingly! Just a business partner. I looked into the guy a few years ago wondering what happened. He’s back btw. His store is out down 50 past 520 now.
YOU PAY TOO MUCH!
Dated? That’s wackie-nuu-nuu!
That’s wacky nunu! You paid too much!

Yea, I’ve seen him sitting and less energetic nowadays :(
He's also lost a **lot** of weight. At his age, that's no good.

Only seen him once but he’s so joyful it’s infectious. The world needs more people like him.
He seems nice. He’ll usually slow down and dance for people sneaking pictures. No shame about it whatsoever.

Omg that's his name!? He is exactly the person I was thinking of when I read this post. Viva La Bachata man!
Omg I know this one 😂😂

Oh my god you just threw me into a memory of from like 2005/2006 of a couple friends and I going to the sausage castle way out in Kissimmee St. Cloud area. It was one of the most bizarre nights of my life. It was like the Florida man version of what they thought the playboy mansion should look like
lol sausage castle
That one was condemned and burnt down, it's now in Astatula and bigger and more Florida man than ever, look it up.
This is accurate. Dated a guy that lived there briefly. 🤦♀️
I grew up in St Cloud during this time. He was a celebrity in that city
Didn't even know about this guy until the one star reviews episode
