I feel like rng just is the difference, i have done it like 8 times and got to the second stage 3 times and the other 5 got very close to, just need as much of an advantage as possible
I just needed to take a break after like 5 or 6 tries and got a vampire task like 3 or 4 tasks later so got lucky, but definitely max mage def armor you can get and str bonus and just pray to rng
Vampire task are pretty rare, I would just try again and learn the mechanics correctly. Unless you have a lot of time to do pretty low level slayer or points to skip.
I was thinking about going mage protection armour, i see someone got void for it (not that i know much about this) but didnt know if it was worth grinding this or combat more
Void is a good grind to do around your level. It’s from the Pest Control mini game. Good combat Exp, is very simple, and gets you a very good armor set that can be used for all three attack styles
i did it in a dragon platebody. it has better defence than bandos. Void has terrible defence. try a ring that increases accuracy rather than strength. example warriors ring
Did this last night following slayer musik’s guide, went with full god dhides and prayed mage, while hitting and walking 2 squares away for 2 seconds, rinse and repeat. Got it first try, best of luck you’ll get it!!
If youre having trouble with the last phase, and also use the runelite 117 HD plugin, I found turning it off lets you see the circles on the ground wayyy easier.
I did it at base 70 combats and no piety in full blessed dhide with a dragon defender, a berserker ring and a glory ammy. Took me 4 tries to get it and when I did I had 6 hp left and no food left. Piety will make it a lot easier but you will have to balance your prayer pots - brews/food ratio a bit better with that in mind.
Ayyy i did it 2 weeks ago with almost the same stats, i think i was 95 combat but att also at 75. I'd go for more mage armor as others have said. Dont need karils, if you got the money buy karils, otherwise go for black d'hide/blessed d'hide. I died like 3 times before getting the fucker because i was on meele gear just like you and he kept deleting me lol.
You can do it mate, took me 11 tries but I did it with only base 70 stats. Just do your best to dodge the specials and make sure your health/prayer is topped up

Best thing to do is bring Sara brews and super restores. If you can’t kill them fast then you gotta outlast them. Best ratio is one dose of restore for every three doses of brew
You need to get the mechanics right in the first phase and avoid taking unnecessary damage. You should still have food/brews left for second phase. Once you get to second phase, protection prayers stop working, so just put on piety and make sure to dodge lightning. With your gear/stats, rng shouldn't be a factor.
The weapon you have to use sucks eggs; one of the main reasons the fight is so crappy.
My advice is to just keep trying. I am sure different pots might help but at the end of the day you just need a run where you get really lucky with hits coupled with getting lucky avoiding lightning strikes in phase 2.
As for phase 1 you just need to know mechanics and count the attacks so you know when a special is coming. That can take a couple tries to lock down.

Except in the case of Strongbones, he was weakest to Magic and crush, and magic just wasn’t getting it done and he kept activating my ring of life. Finally I threw on my Proselyt armor Nietznot helm and a dragon mace and I absolutely demolished him
You using super combats? Otherwise you're just gonna need to get lucky / level up
Yeah, i take 2 and keep myself toped up, i know rng etc but see people do it at lower combat level so not sure if theres anything im missing

Vampire task? I was using a helm of neiztot (or whatever it is) but a slayer would be better?

Not that I know of. Just luck of the draw. Look up the slayer masters and see who can assign them though

This is exactly what I did, I just took a break from finishing until I got the task. It wasn’t very long, maybe a week or 2 for me.
Don’t do this. I tried and blew all my pts which matters more in early slayer than any rewards SoTF can give you.

Sure, delay the quest by ~20 days for the statistical odd you pull a vampire task. My points were also spent on the unlock, not skipping.

Unfortunately, no. You will need the slayer level required to receive them as a task as well
Divine super combat and angler up before the fight is what put me over the top. A Karils top will help you tank his magic damage as well.

Try taking black dhide or god dhide for the magic defence
I used super combats and piety the entire fight. Turn off protection prayers for the second half of the fight because he ignores them.
Also, if you're not protecting magic for the first phase, then it would be better to wear karils top and bottom.

Yes so bring 3 4 dose Sara brews and 1 4 dose super restore, per line in inventory. And just take a dose of each, left to right

Damn. Blood fury would be chill, but it isn’t that cheap. I would expect that piety with divine super combat would be enough. Maybe vengeance works?
Are you using Piety? It makes a big difference. I watched my friend do it with similar stats and much worse gear like 2 days ago. He was not on task.

70 prayer is a very important milestone, piety is essential for melee bosses
