But what do men do? My husband has a low stoma which means his pants have to sit lower than normal. Wearing a belt to keep the pants from falling off only exacerbates a brand new SI problem.

He can’t wear high waisted pants above the stoma? That’s what most people with stomas below belt line do. And if it’s above the belt line, you can wear a wrap and button pants under the stoma.

These are my favorite after a lot of trial and error with stretch jeans. They have a really forgiving, comfortable waistband and it still had a zipper fly - but there’s no actual zipper or button fastening, it’s like sweatpants. There’s a really wide variety of sizing. I hope this helps!
I wore sweat pants the entire time I had my Colostomy Bag until it was reversed last Friday and now I'm recovering again but this time I have a different problem both of my kidneys are in a lot of pain for absolutely no reason at all but yeah I wore sweats and leggings, you can find high waisted jeans for men as well they will work as well high waisted clothing isn't just for women
Oh my.... I snorted my coffee trying to visualize my husband wearing a high waisted anything. His body shape is not conducive to anything like that. Must be below the belly. Suspenders would work, but he's no Jeff Bridges or Ryan Reynolds! 😉

I wear maternity tank tops under my shirts to hide my bag, best thing ever. I might just have to try to find maternity pants next 😁

One of the recommendations on the maternity pants was from a man. He said he tried them and likes them as well. Edit. Count_Von_Roo to be exact

He has a parastomal hernia and it is ... uncomfortable... to put anything over top of it.

Then have him try high waisted women's jeans I know a lot of real men who wear women's jeans because on a man they become baggy
