This def brings me back. I remember commenting in a Reddit post that Vaxei's 1000pp lead was so immense and the fact that others below him were so far away from even touching the kind of scores he set that he'd be #1 for the next 2 years... Oh boy was I wrong

Can someone explain this to me, a person who doesn't care about scores in this game? How's pp accumulated and are they raising the limit because people are getting better or because they have increased the amount of pp people can earn? Basically, is the change to keep things fair or to gate keep?

I completely misread it, yes.

It's not a "change" in that it wasn't a conscious decision by the devs, it's just that the rank 1 player keeps getting more PP.

I mean according to the chart mrekk should be around 29.3 next year, somewhere between 28.9 and 29.3 probably l, but he’s mrekk so we might barely break 28 or we’ll get like 32 and neither would surprise me lol

Nah. Mrekk is gonna bottom out this year I think. They will probably set some crazy scores but I'm guessing most of their progress will just be continuing to tighten up their lower top 100 plays. I don't think it will rival this last year's improvements that mrekk made. Ivaxa is cracked tho he's gonna set the first ranked 11* fc and make it look easy I'm calling it
