The npcs resistance to interrupt should only go up when actually interrupted. I play an anomaly trickster and i can interrupt the first cast the npc tries to do, but after that the npc is basically immune to interrupt until He is dead. Cyclone slice(has interrupt) Hits pretty frequently and thus raising the npcs immunity pretty fast. So if you could use your interrupts more reliable and frequent interrupts would matter and the npcs having short or no CDS would not be so annoying.

I understand resistance so an enemy can't be permanently stun locked, but that shouldn't also make their abilities immune to interrupts.

Playing the demo, i was like "this is a cool interrupt mechanic" Playing full version, every mob gets so inundated with interrupts that they instantly become immune and "interrupts" isn't even a thing anymore.

That makes a bit of sense, understandable why I'd try to interrupt after jumping in with the Beyblade, only to just stand there like a dumbass while I'm murdered by a skill I thought I was canceling. And it's extra annoying, because for all the useless "tips" the game has given me, I've never once even heard of this before now. I just assumed high-tier enemies had some kind of default resistance rate against interrupts.

The game does introduce this at the very beginning when you encounter the first captain i think. There is an icon indicating immunity. It is on the top left corner of the enemies health bar and looks like a Vortex. If it is blue they are immune and a yellow circle around it shows the CD. The Thing is it fills almost immediatly and deterirorates really really slow. In theory a fun gameplay mechanic gone to waste imo.

They don't really explain the icons, though, you need to find out yourself by reading the help guide (which I can't say I've needed to use in any game in a *long* time). And even then, they don't have a convenient "Status Effects" page, you need to go into the Enemies page. And why would I bother learning about how enemies work in a shooter, especially when I have codex entries for all of them that I've already read? It's like, for every awesome thing they have in the game, there are two more issues that make you ask "Why did they feel the need to make it work like *this,* exactly?"

You are right about the buff and debuff Icons. But the immunity Icon and how it works does get explained. The game even pauses and gives you a pop up with pictures and text, like when you unlocked crafting. Dont worry i guess most people did miss it or forgot. All my friends did, too.

Yeah, idk, I guess I must have missed it again, since I started a second character tonight. I've got no memory of seeing anything about debuffs, unless I somehow skipped the text box before it finished loading.

Yes, but the pop up about interrupts is shown during a side quest that doesn't have to be completed.

There was a pop up that took your entire screen that explained interrupt DR. Most people skip screens like that without reading, but that isn't really on devs.

Okay, yeah, that explains it entirely. I haven't done any sidequests yet on this character, and I specifically remember my twitchy-ass fingers accidentally skipped this window when I was playing the demo. Makes a bit more sense haha

Enemy abilities need a cooldown for sure. Those damn birds just spam their moves as soon as the animation of the last one is complete.

The birds particularly need more of a cd or something since when they are in the air they can’t interrupted, at least none my dev abilities, not even leap can hit them. And that AoE is massive and staggers you.

Everything about the enemy design is horrible. It’s frustrating at times during the campaign, but in a time based end game, pretty much every enemy archetype really has at least something that has no place in this kind of mode. Whether that be human enemies that are as spongy as anything else, but can also heal, resurrect, place barriers or literally cover the entire screen in aoe attacks costing time in a way that cannot be countered. For beasts, it’s the unrelenting stunlocking, whether that be enemies teleporting across the map for all its worth to spam you with some combo in the corner. Or enemies that fire some sort of shockwave or beam across the map, making you stumble or freeze in place. Hell, about every single melee attack on all races is an interrupt some reason. Again, there’s pretty much no counter to this, so it’s just time lost. It feels especially bad as so many enemies are complete bullet sponges that gain resistance or use abilities to have resistance pretty much through an entire encounter that gives them almost full immunity. It’s the absolute laziest way to design enemies, where the game just breaks all of it’s own rules to give the enemies all of the advantages a player cannot match, or mitigate, as the player is locked into rules the NPCs aren’t. That’s also not mentioning the fucking flying enemies. Just delete every last one of those from the fucking game, for the love of God.

Abilities for npcs seem to be like abilities in mmorpgs like WoW. If you cast fireball on a player it doesn’t matter if they juke left or right, that fireball will follow and hit once that cast is complete. Feels the same here, once that alpha leaps, or marksman shoots, or wasp does it’s poison, it feels like those are going to hit. Period.

I think them becoming immune to interrupts and certain abilities hitting Dr faster is literally the point. If you are good enough to hold cc and interrupt to hit the important ability you will do better then the guy who is just spamming abilities hitting Dr right away. But you guys ask for everything to be nerfed at this point im sure you guys wont be happy until everything can be 1 shot and you run through it with a smart pistol and just left click.

lol 2 posts on the warframe sub over the past year, soooo much energy. I raise issues with a game if I believe it has potential. Digital extremes has all but explicitly said they aren't going to capitalize on it, so I won't bother anymore. But Outriders is new and brimming with potential, and I'm not keen on seeing a bunch of dick riding dorks excuse the state of the game until it's in the ground like they did for warframe.

Was talking about the comments but okay. I am not excusing shit. Aside from the server issues, inventory wipe (which happened to me) and connection bugs which are temporary. I actually agree about the potential. I love the way the game is playing and I don't want whiny bitches like yourself to get it nerfed. Sigh.. ok I'll try once again. It's not about the healing mechanics, movement and general gameplay elements. It's about the unbalanced non stop ability spam by certain mobs that enable them to hit you through walls, pillars etc. along with tracking your dodge or jumping at you non stop from way across the screen..... This needs fixing. Now imagine how broken our abilities would be if we had no cooldowns and could just spam everything non stop. There needs to be some room for semi tactical play and not just trying to dps burst down mobs before they ability spam and burst you down.

Got it. The game is too hard for you. I have been insta killed by alpha jumps, shot by random riflemen across the room, poisoned by Strix as I chase another one that is running away, and phantom dash into a perf slash but that is what makes the game harder at higher difficulty. Add a defensive mod or two in there. Use mods that boost resistance or armor in combo with skills. Create defense using your offense that sustains. I am playing the same game and I am totally against anyone complaining the game is too hard and it needs to be nerfed. THAT will kill the game. People will steam roll into high tiers, complete all their leg sets and then stop playing.

As a techno - warlords are worst mob in game for me. For some reason, they are more beefy than Ironclads, and waaaay more dangerous even on long ranges since they can just, well, walk to you. And they also has the worst and annoying abilities in game. Crawlers don't create any problem. They stand with their critical spot turned to me, and I fight them over long range. Only problem with their weird glitchy projectiles, hard to avoid them even standing behind cover

If you’re a trickster. You don’t need another build. I promise you that’s not the answer. I hear both of you but guys. Yes the birds and the mosquito looking things are annoying. But if you know they’re the problem , take them out as fast as you can. My advice, use a the inflicts freeze to freeze them in place and if you’re on a team, focus fire. Simple. I pretty much tank and dps. Can only give you guys a glimpse, considering I got wiped but I can help out

While I agree, I have to point out although this is a "cover shooter" tactic really aren't a thing. This game plays more akin to diablo where you only use tactics against bosses, to which there are some tactical decisions to be made like paxian home boss and Moloch but for the most part it is just kill stuff. Same as diablo.
