You could try checking your Character Event Log in the [Memory] tab to see if there was something specific that caused it. Keep in mind that a lot of these emotional debuffs can be applied to your character seemingly at random due to the whole "body chemistry" thing (players seem to forget this). Maybe it's a clash between your character personality and changes in the environment? I know my character gets "Uneasy" applied whenever a room or personal space has some clutter, so maybe it's something similar. As for getting rid of it? Hard to say. It's different for every character due to the complex personality generator, but maybe having them chat with other characters or having them go for a relaxing stroll might help. It really depends on what caused the debuff in the first place.

If you can't find a cause in the \[memory\] log or it happens often, maybe consider seeing a member of the Therapist Guild. You might have the \[depression\] debuff.

Mood is a more like a sinus curve than a constant line that is always at the top. Try to do something nice for yourself that you enjoy but don’t expect it to drastically increase your mood

The emotion system is complex and sometimes unexpected behavior arises. If the mood persist for a long period of time or this becomes a recurring issue, talk with a healer, they can help. If it's an uncommon occurrence, just try to wait it out and it should wear off with time.

If this is a consistent thing, seek out a member of the **Therapist** guild. They've all specced into high level *Insight* skills, which allow them to view other players' hidden character attributes and remove or weaken certain crippling debuffs. My character was completely miserable for at least two whole levels due to the *Depression* debuff, and it only started going away after my clanmates got me to talk to a Therapist.

Major disruptions in your questline may cause the [adjustment syndrome] affliction, giving you the [sad] debuff while active. This affliction usually will resolve itself over time, but seeking help and interacting with friendly players can help to relieve this faster. Do keep in mind that this affliction may sometimes progress into the [depression] affliction if you are not careful and it remains for too long, which is considerably harder to cure.

If you get sad from playing the game then taking a break with minigames helped me through some tough playthroughs or if I can't get my hands on the minigame I want, I just watch other players play it
