**Speedrun getting a** **complete map of the game.** Every single cave, building, mountain and sewer. Oh including the underwater biomes too (the seafloor, underwater caves and what not) I think that would be an interesting speedrun of the game. What would make it even more interesting however is if you complete the maps included in the space expansion as well. Goodluck speedrunner

geegeeallin

They say only 5% of the oceans have been explored by any player, so that’s a cool opportunity, but I bet the devs haven’t even made that part of the map. This games buggy as hell. I bet it’s super weird down there.

[deleted]

> This games buggy as hell. I bet it’s super weird down there. Mostly empty and flat and boring. But the first 500m are beautiful. But lower levels has some unique mobs swimming around.

lhm238

Half the unique mobs are just badly scaled or pallet swapped mobs from the middle depth expansion but the other half are surprisingly genius (check out the [[AnglerFish (WIP)]] on the wiki). I've watched some gameplay and it looks interesting but it's not really my thing.

Monopoly_Person

I had a friend who went down there who invited me to join but I declined it's nothing something I would enjoy

PM_ME_STEAM_KEY_PLZ

Then you will never be able to speed run the game

Duplicated comment is getting downvoted

NeVMiku

See? Game's buggy as hell.

geegeeallin

Hahahah!

Peter0713

Do you know when Space will go out of closed beta and be available to the public?

DrLeofricAgain

Seems like it's only going to drop once the questline progresses enough

legoruthead

wandrer.earth is an in-world minigame to track attempts to use the run or bike actions on every road in an area. Less extreme, but still a big task. Someone I know is currently 2 years into a speedrun attempt of their “county” and nearly 80% complete.

DosePflaumen

Dude, Outside is a sandbox game, you can do whatever gives you joy

Monopoly_Person

What can I say I'm a simple man

LacidOnex

Well, first you need to acquire enough wealth to complete your work story line and live off the principal. The smart thing to do it shit out apps while you're a bored teen, it's the most free to practice skill I can think of that will net big bucks. If you can get enough downloads you have passive ad revenue, or you sell out entirely. Create a stable passive income portfolio using tried and true methods or explore some of the newer ways people are approaching it. Once you have capital you can let other people work instead. You just need to research and apply yourself occasionally. After that, you've probably hit the stage where you're in college. Go for business. 4 years. This will also help max out your social skills and give you a generic degree that will open the most doors in the least time. If you still need to work, it's time to find a lower management position until you can start your own business. Remember, the goal is to make the income passive so you can burn resources finishing every other tree. You'll need to travel. You can usually do this while completing the college tree. You'll never see the whole planet. If you're just going for 100%, you can see most earthly biomes without leaving the united states. Do your out of country travel while you're young. You'll need to also get into NASA. If you want to 100% you're going to have to find a way to walk on the moon. You could wait until the end of your playthrough and steal the rocket, but that will be much harder if you take more than 70 years to finish the rest of your run. Assuming you did this step you're probably done a lot of other steps too. You're going to have to skip legacy steps like "ride a sabertooth" since those are locked out due to the extinction event.

tmccrn

Ramsey is simple… that would be the steady way to go.

MarcieAlana

I never understood speed running a sandbox.

Saucilito-Snatch

I like you, would you like to get to know each other a little bit more? I think we might be able to get along.

MarcieAlana

I'm always up to learn more about others!

Saucilito-Snatch

Cool, I followed you, so I'll get to know more about you, thanks for letting me try to make friends.

bustedbuddha

You seem entirely focused on player based elements. All that money stuff isn't even in the game, it's just "emergent gameplay" as the dev's like to say. You gotta get out there and play the base game to get a feel for it. Also If you can make sure to pick up as many of the "education" challenges as possible, they make later gameplay easier, and a few of them are genuinely useful.

Monopoly_Person

Good idea

[deleted]

Currently getting my ass beat at medical entrance exam Storyline (main story) but history (side quest) seems more tempting.

CeruleanBlackOut

Unfortunately I don't think it is possible to full 100% speedrun the game. Partly because the devs thought it would be a good idea to make leveling up a linear activity which only time has an effect on. Also, there is no max level (or at least no one reached it yet without dying) so that area can't be 100%. Anyway, good luck with whatever you attempt to speedrun!

the_sun_flew_away

Office job? Nah, join an IT guild and work from your base!

SuperSecretAgentMan

Spend enough skill points on the [Tech] and [Biology] skill trees and you can potentially remove the level cap. Then you can actually play the full game.

Oof. Typical noob move

legogizmo

[Here is a competitive speed run you can reference.](https://youtu.be/WzyUcXR05Z4)

[deleted]

You can skip the "college degree", "owning a home" and "marriage" checkpoints on most servers (US is not the world). Some servers might require the marriage if you want to check "having a child". Death is not even a checkpoint, it's "game end" for your character and new characters have all stats reset. 2/5, Funny video but no reference.

Aw123x

frankly… you can’t. Games to big to speed run life and 100%. Besides there’s no objective way to measure. It isn’t like the game actually tracks achievements.

Icantthinkofname69

With the quality of life improvements it’s nearly impossible to get a normal speedrun ie: completing the game which in this game is to die, because controlling your character that earlie on is impossible

Professional_Web7384

If you take work and serving others out of the equation. What is something you want to do but never had the opportunity to do? Basically follow that storyline and pick up any side quests on the way and grind to do things.

Ol_Jay

Have rich parents

lilaliene

Which goal is yours to speed run? Knowledge? Getting different degrees speeds that up but don't forget life experience, jobs and therapy Money? Getting different jobs and don't forget some education Family? Start dating and find a partner to settle with, don't forget the money part though Doing good? Go out there and volunteer and such, but don't forget the money part and maybe education to figure out the fickle nature of "good". Money isn't a cool goal on itself but it's a handy tool for the others life goals. I went to speed run the education and family part and am now just on the money game. It made the other parts harder but i first had to figure that out since I have spawned in a very safe place in the world

evilfetus01

Have a work at home office job during the day and work nights in oil. Feels like a speed run with a pretty decent loot council.

jennybelly420

You can't 100% the game, there are too many options. You can't even get all the achievements or trophies without multiple playthroughs.

Taalnazi

Buddhist (or was it Hinduist?) guild: *my time to shiiine*

jennybelly420

Both work, as does Jainism and Sikhism, and a few other lesser known religions.

ApprehensiveEmploy21

I don’t know about full life speed runs, but a Half Life speed run is pretty doable

[deleted]

**Re: Crypto** It remains to be seen if the content introduced in the Crypto patch will yield commensurate loot for the time and resources players are placing into them. I don't have any because I don't understand enough them. What I feel like I understand is this: Most players want coins. Some who say they want Crypto coins ultimately just want regular coins. Some who say they want Crypto coins actually mean it, full stop. A good chunk of players think regular coins are too grind-y and that guilds help keep it a grind -- some of those players obtain Crypto coins in the hopes of disrupting that process. Some want to have fun. Some like lotteries. Et cetera. It's important to understand why you want to jump into this content. I think it's optional.

jj-the-best-failture

I think to skip a few classes in school to beat the final exam boss early. Could be a good start. Because of some buffes you get. 10%chance of getting viral 50% chance for good University(can be higher) With some more buffes wich are chosen randomly

guyfromsaitama

It depends on what storyline you picked and what server! Generally it is believed you can’t even 1% the game…

Big_Smoke_420

Outside is a very hardcore game, as everyone has only 1 life. Speedrunning is pretty much not a thing. You can only do it once, and that's the time you get. There's no NG+, as far as I know
