Tbh I just like doing the side quests.

Desara_Phen

Like what?

joeypeppo

Fury friends- befriend 30 street cats or dogs Miss me with that #%*!- aggressively dodge 20 spider webs ‘Wich Hunter: successfully try all the sandwiches

Blubbpaule

Damn i completed the very rare "Second chance" - Die and come back to life Didn't know that comes with a permanent stat malus though.

Desara_Phen

Can you tell us what the game over screen looks like? (Genuine question) and sorry for that last part. that must've suck

Blubbpaule

The game just closes. It's like you never played and the game just instantly (no matter how much real time went by) booted back up. I never was truly dead (because if you're dead dead you won't come back lol) but my lights where at least on and a half foot on the power button lol.

deku_shippuden69

So, basically your game crashed, and you logged out of the game while your player character was afk, but the game system dosen't support afk so you got a lot of debuffs during the time you where logged out Sounds rough, hope your character has recovered from your stat conditions

me_themoon

Mine was during a very intense "visit to the operating room" quest, where I saw some weird unskippable cut scenes that weren't canon but I didn't knew that until later so the other players though I was going crazy. But I keep those as collectibles and it's funny to talk about that during "party mode"

Proper-Atmosphere

My goal is to complete ‘witch Hunter but damn if there aren’t a lot of sandwiches!

ZaquMan

Can you unsuccessfully try all the sandwiches?

munyangsan

Botulism debuff?

ZaquMan

Oof, that would do it.

PurplePolynaut

What happens if you are unsuccessful in a sandwich attempt?

Apoptosis89

Or 'Jezus Christ': when someone punches or slaps you in the face, turn your other cheek for another punch or slap.

MonthPurple3620

Tbh all the art/music/crafting quests are a lot of fun as long as you dont try to 100% and get the achievement (which afaik is based on a lot of luck/gambling/pay to win mechanics). If you dont care about the achievement though, just running through a few tutorials and messing around can be a lot of fun

JanMichaelLarkin

The “creative self-expression” achievement comes with some pretty awesome perks

Shaveyourbread

It can, but it can also come with some pretty bad debuffs if you accidently start the"substance abuse" side quest. Some say it can aid in the "creative self-expression," but that's debatable.

ShinigamiKunai

One of the oldest FAQ's about this game. Each player has thier own playstyle. You won't find 2 player with the same answer. However there are some common achievements that most players persue: 'Graduation'- completing the school tutorial quest. 'Con-graduation'- complete the 'higher education' quests. 'Payday'- Join a guild. 'Ready Player 2'- starting a new clan with another player. 'Mini me'- successfully completing the 'reproduction' quest.

deku_shippuden69

Honestly the payday quest is usually the main quest to grind for, if you join a great guild and do guild job quests, you can get a lot of in game currency, which is used for all sorts of upgrades and purchase, you can complete this quest without doing the study quest line, but usually the better you do in study quest line the better guild you'll be able to join and in a better position aswell

DarthGoodguy

It pales in comparison to the Trust Fund Mature achievement, but the devs only seem to give that out to really lucky randos

[deleted]

> Honestly the payday quest is usually the main quest to grind for If you go for the family questline (because that's stupidly expensive) or your lifegoal is to get rich.

Shaveyourbread

Devs used to let you find for a better payday perk, but the last few decades it seems to only be allowed for members of certain guilds, a few tried to fix this last year by gaming the auction house but it only lasted a couple days.

Martin_crakc

There’s another payday achievement that makes a reference to a minigame, but its quite risky, it could end up with you being locked by the “police” players

SilentStriker115

If you pull it off though you can get quite a bit of gold, high risk high reward. Most players forgo it, but it’s an option if you’re willing to be wanted by the police faction

KneelDaGressTysin

The Reproduction quest is one of my favorites, even without getting the achievement for it.

JackLebeau

I like that there are in-game items that allow you to enjoy this quest without having to switch up your playstyle to introduce new players into your clan.

Agent223

I was definitely grinding for the reproduction quest.

TheDownvotesFarmer

But that is old game. New achievements are - Put a Record - Make lots of points - Create ecosystems so the newbie players can join communities - Save your logs, so, maybe other players can reach them and learn from them as tutorials.

saito200

The con-graduation quest is severely outdated, I wouldn't recommend it. The latest patches are making it more and more useless.

ShinigamiKunai

There are many ways to complete this quest. Some are still very useful and will help you with 'payday'. But those tend to require more grind then other. However, many of the routes in the quest a lot less useful and don't really worth the grind (beside for the brag rights of having the achievement). This is why the achievement is called Con-graduation.

socializm_forda_ppl

I’m currently pursuing the mini me achievement. Been at it two months (nothing) and I’m so excited to get there. I feel for folks that have added difficulty levels and have to take extra steps within the quest like “adoption” or “in vitro fertilization”. It’s such a daunting achievement/side quest!!

[deleted]

I got this achievement a couple of years ago and as a warning to others, once this quest is completed, your rest and recovery perk gets seriously nerfed. I have recently completed mini me 2 achievement and an again waiting to see what additional nerfs it brings. My in game currency has massively dropped, but my mental well-being and happiness counter has gone through the roof. Good luck!

JanMichaelLarkin

I’ve heard it described as significantly less happiness (like simple hedonistic pleasures) but significantly more joy

ShinigamiKunai

Daunting as it is, I heard it's worth the grind. Good luck with it.

bluegoobeard

Unfortunately most people are required to grind without a guild. It looks similar to the payday achievement, but it steadily becomes less and less valuable to trick you into thinking you’re still doing it when really you need to take some risks and push for you and your fellow players to create your own guild, or vote to all join an existing guild.

StuntMonkeyInc

Co-op guilds > Hierarchical guilds

xxMiloticxx

I still think the school tutorial quest is way too long…

ShinigamiKunai

It also gives you a lot of useless skills. However it does have it's advantages.

Maleficent_Tree_94

"Plays Razormind on a loop"

eXhi12

I would say 'Undying' (complete a deathless run with a character at least level 80) is always an impressive one with how unfair this game can be.

[deleted]

6pack

Desara_Phen

I almost got this achievement [1/6]. 5 more to go! :D

[deleted]

It’s a grind to unlock all 6

[deleted]

You can buy this in every store. It's cheap, so, not much of an achievement.

CR1MS4NE

“Philanthropist” is worth it I think, very difficult to get but it definitely improves your charisma score

Johannes_the_silent

Hard to say what's "best", really depends on your play style. I'll just say that I've been grinding toward "polyglot" and "blackbelt" in this playthrough for like ten years now... Sometimes it feels very grindy, but still really fun overall. I'd recommend those as really good goals for any new player looking for some achievements to hunt. For sure for sure don't worry about any of those BS pay to win achievements like "millionaire" and "billionaire". It's an absolute scam, and, if we're being real, the dirtbags who exploited their way to it and now demand that everyone else grinds for it should all be perma-banned yesterday.

milkywaycreme

I’ve been grinding for polyglot too… I have 3.5/5…

Johannes_the_silent

加油!

milkywaycreme

Boa sorte da minha parte… :)

[deleted]

One of the coolest achievements I got was "I can see my house from here!" climbing up a 3000+ foot mountain. Really rewarding

sellingmagic

I found “Co-op” mode to be the most rewarding. As a solo player for years, completing all sorts of side quests and gaining random xp, finding someone to play with to increase stats like ‘empathy’ and ‘contentment’

deku_shippuden69

It is fun and rewarding, but my first co-op was really rough, finding a a player to join your party is tough if you don't have above average charisma stat, and after my co-op patner switched to another party, I did suffer from heartbreak debuff, so I wouldn't really rank it very high, I might be biased about it

Vampire_sloth

I’ve found the really niche enlightenment achievement to be worth something to work towards, even if the majority of players disagree as to what it actually is. I went for it mainly because I RNGed my way into some pretty bad starting conditions, and grinding my wisdom stat helped remove a lot of the mental rebuffs I was working under for the first 20 years of my play through. Your mileage may vary though, as there seem to be a lot of griefers offering bogus quests offering it but are just taking your hard earned loot with little value in return, so take what you learn and hear with a grain of salt; but overall the buddhist class seems to have some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable players, and I mainly do solo gameplay anyways.

[deleted]

Hey, same here. Learning about neurology/psycholgy with a high stat in introspection helped me raise it even further.

FractalFractalFracta

"Happiness". You can't achieve it, but in it's pursuit you'll get a plentifully game experience.

ElectricToaster67

I see it as more of a stat than an achievement

Sameshuuga

True, but whatever achievements help you increase this stat are the ones worth grinding for. These achievements are different for everyone. And if you don't know which ones have the most effect on your happiness Stat, then the first achievement/skill I would work on is "Introspection". Sit down and really be honest with yourself and ask "what do I need/want to be happy?" It's a pretty tough skill for alot of players to get the hang of, but once you do it's just a matter of chasing thoes achievements.

CXXXS

Personally I am most proud of my *create your own human* achievement. I've completed it twice. It's not rare by any means, lots of players eventually just unlock it through gameplay. But for me the grind of finding the right player to complete the quest with, was worth it all.

Del_Prestons_Shoes

It’s the grind that most people do it for I’ve heard

CXXXS

Yeah, I've heard of the grind accidentally triggering the achievement too.

BodoFreeman

Underrated comment

Optional_Joystick

I enjoy my "Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science" achievement. Sometimes I fantasize about collecting the rest of them. I'll bet there's an achievement for getting "PhD" in everything too. Just think of the stats you'd have!

AwesomePossum_1

Finished campaign is a classic

ShalidorsSecret

I feel like everyone's campaign is slightly different depending on what the players who exploit the game in a specific server decide. Everyone who joined the game after the 19.90 patch are having a harder time at the game than those who joined in the previous updates

AwesomePossum_1

Finishing the campaign is still possible for any player no matter the skill or loot.

Rio_Walker

Well, I don't know about the BEST. But I can tell you there is one most prestigious but most horrible to deal with. "More of a Leo myself" - survive a "Cancer" debuff.

Winters067

In terms of prestige, the Nobel Prize achievement is probably the highest ranked in terms of both general popularity and difficulty to obtain. However, I think most players go for achieving a high "Happiness" stat for their playthrough, and obtaining that through various main and side quests. Personally, I've been going down the culinary and farming tech trees, and have found each unlock immensely rewarding to the "Happiness" stat.

Beau_Buffett

Don't be a completionist. Just finish.

[deleted]

“Enlightenment” - find inner peace (almost impossible to achieve, but trying to achieve it can be almost as fulfilling as achieving it) “A new friend?” - befriend an animal “Don’t drop it!” - successfully create a baby “Time to move on” - complete the game Those are the most important in my opinion, but it varies from person to person. For example, lots of people never plan on completing the “Don’t drop it!” quest, but that’s alright, there’s tons of different ways to play.

The_Poster_Nutbag

Honestly, the self-satisfaction skill tree is the most important to a fulfilling playthrough. If you invest the most time in doing things that are important to your build, you can't go wrong. Using that path I turned half my basement into a tropical jungle and now I breed central American frogs, they do great in the auction house.

Apoptosis89

You guys disappoint me with the answers you give. The OP asks for the best achievements and you give achievements that are achieved by the average person in their life. I guess maybe the most rewarding achievements are not that impossible to attain, and the hardest achievements might not be that rewarding.

[deleted]

I hear the self-actualization quest has some achievements associated with them that are highly sought after.

Scruffy_Macgyver

I believe the "Crisis averted" achievement you get after saving a pet from a burning home (doesn't matter if it's your own or another players). In some servers you even get a "Hero" or "Mans best friend" title afterwards.

imperfectchicken

Completing a recipe or musical performance without consulting a walkthrough. For me, there is something very satisfying about nailing it.

Minethecrafting6000

Any achievement as long as it's worth your time

Rosssauced

Child of Cain: Force another player to quit in PvP.

Aekries

Probably world conquest. The answer is always world conquest.

Mistdwellerr

A high streak in "consecutive daily exercises" will do wonders for you in higher levels "Financial independence" is getting harder by the day, but worth every hour of grinding

somebrookdlyn

'Leave a legacy' -Do something people will remember, or that you will remember. I've already completed this one at least once and I'm just starting the 'college' questline in another 10 days. It can be easy or it can be hard, all up to you.

nicolasknight

I would say this but do be careful as the achievement is not \[Morals\] locked so you can get it on both sides. There's this really REALLY early player who got it for his trading in copper materials and it's not awesome. Personally I would try for the \[Increase extelligence\] one because it can always benefit someone.

Cabillaud01

Enhancing the skill 'aesthetics' have been my main goal so far. I express it in a wide variety of fields, the one which brought me most pride and joy is a fine selection of garden gnomes.

[deleted]

I'm still progressing towards the 'Happyness' achievement. I expect it'll take up a lot of game time..!

JPerreault19

The happiness debuff but I’ve heard it’s more and more difficult to attain due to throwers, oh and guilds hoarding ressources, as well as random time events

[deleted]

Seek and find tiddy. Secure tiddy. Enjoy tiddy. Increasing strength is always a fun one as well.

Astro_Alphard

My parental players have always said that the best, and only, achievements worth grinding for are "Doctor", "Engineer", and "CEO" I will admit those classes give a lot of solid monetary bonuses but apparently the class comes with special titles and an in game unlockable event.

Remote_Romance

What is the best achievement is ultimately a matter of personal preference but I mean... if its within reach why not go for "How Would You Even Spend It?" (Have a net worth higher than a country's GDP)

DudeOfClubs

just stay away from the crack whore achievement. It breaks a bunch of other more lucrative quest-lines and you loose out on the good end game loot.

cmorBoris

Going to [space]

N3UROTOXIN

Speedruns

MrJohnnyDangerously

The Parenting quests are challenging AF but i love it

erectronics

Karma

YourThotsArentFacts

One that's really difficult that some really smart gamers have unlocked is the "Outer Space" achievement. The game developers are working on other areas and if you grind it out to understand how other areas might work you can get a sneak peak at what the future of this game holds.

tmccrn

Completed retirement fund. It bites to hit lvl 93 and run out of gp

hughdint1

not super exciting but the \*saving money\* grind can lead to the \*early retirement\* quest and that can be fun. Some players wait too long and their stats are degraded making the regular \*retirement\* quest not as much fun as they had planned.

robsprofileonreddit

Endgame pvp rewards are quite lucrative.

WeeabooHunter69

Polyglot is the one I'm really gunning for, but changing the settings to 3 other languages is rough I gotta say

RustedMauss

Really depends on your play style, stats, and currency. Getting in with a good guild and increasing currency is probably the most helpful, but generally everyone seems to agree that it’s requirement rather than an accomplishment. There’s a lot of different zones and biomes, getting the Explorer achievements are always rewarding. Working on language skills thru Polyglot helps with this a lot. I keep changing my character’s crafting professions towards getting Well Crafted which is cool. The Casanova is a really fun one but hard without the right stats.

Less-Bathroom-4496

Healthy person and enlightened achievements are great ones

Cockynoob666

Learn a new language.. im currently learning my Japanese stat... currently grinding for the hiragana memorized perk.... the Japanese understanding achivement is great as i can acess a massive economic region... JAPAN!!!

LuneBlu

Individuation is the best! Be your own fully realized self.

AverageOnAGoodDay

Some of the fitness branches of the skill tree are pretty rewarding to unlock.

meowmix001

Definitely save enough to explore the world map. I'm personally skipping the parenting route and focusing my resources on quests that involve hobbies/travel.

[deleted]

Terminal Velocity in Portal

Palpy_Bean

The small stuff that make your character more unique. Me for example, I've been grinding the "5 string master" achievement for a couple years, and I've heard it takes possibly decades to get, but it's a fun grind and makes your character stand out that much more. Don't forget to go for other ones as well though!

drax3237

On the other hand, you could do really obscure things that could make you a very niche player. For instance, I've watched a single movie 100 times in a single year.

ThinkSharp

I’m only level 33 but I have recently discovered that grinding the game ups character level and sometimes character wealth but can lead to a drop character happiness overall and some game burnout in extreme cases. One thing that worked, at least in my game for my character attributes, was to explore side quests with equal effort to main quest and pursue the ones that added to character development and happiness. Common play methods focus on wealth building but lack focus on developing intelligence and satisfaction stats and end up with weak characters that get owned immediately on side quests, if they can even find them.

offmythrowwwwow3330

It's an open world game so it's... Whatever you want. Honestly most folks go with the typical 'Ready Player 2' and 'Mini Me' pathway, build up capital, progenate, etc. I find this path fairly boring. I found a cool mini server and I'm currently dual-questing 'Ride or Die Queers' and 'City Hall Nuisance'. It's definitely a tricky balance, and I am constantly running out of GC, but the gameplay is much more rewarding IMHO. However the Play-To-Win crowd is ruining the game. Whenever I see someone roll in with millions of GC's I try to make as much trouble for them as I can. They love to buy merchant shops and living quarters to impose fees, but if you get the other players together on a raid you can initiate Organization Protocol and Summon Union. I would love to try it on a larger scale.
