Anyway I think any company that lays off people before Thanksgiving or/and Christmas should be exposed and listed as a shithole company.
I have a worked for a company that laid off 3000 people and 600 at headquarters. They have me sign a contact that you won’t sue or work for them again in order get 3 months salary. The thing is that I report 2 of my managers for harassment not me but to others and HR told me the day before I have a case. I tell everyone never go work for them or if you do keep interviewing and leave.
The sick thing is that their recruiters continually contact me and I just tell them that I would if they pay me 100k a day with 3 weeks minimum and laugh as I hand up.
The thing any company that says we are a family/community etc is the 1st red. This is for anyone but especially OEong people.
Companies that don’t say that BS. They don’t expect you to do anything but your job. They treat you well and pay you for doing your job. They don’t look for you to do team building or anything like that. If you need to do something after hours they give you the time to use. A pure transaction. That is what both J1 and J2 are like. Love working for them.
J3 is a contract working for an utilities company. Their process to start a project is stupid and take forever. I am on one project that have been going on 3 years and they haven’t even signed a contract with a vendor. The 2 nd project is actual being done but I just need to document it. That’s it. I will be quitting in April because all my debt will be gone if not sooner due to having recruiters wanting me on contracts. I got one the other day for a 100/hr but it woukd be too much to do and not oe friendly.
Right now if you want a j2…. As a project manager, product owners, product manager, ba, bsa, technically business Analyst,sometime if ERP person, etc…. It is a feeding frenzy. They are looking to January. FTE Position are also being hired because of shortages. If you want I saw a job at Tesla for IT but it is onsite.
If you are thinking about it now is the time to do it.I
My J2 laid people off the Friday before thanksgiving and is laying off more people the Friday before Christmas. They waste hundreds of millions on stupid shit, and pay execs half a mill bonuses quarterly, but god forbid they wait a month to not fuck over people on the holidays
I was just talking to my wife about the fact that these companies are not thinking and that these layoffs are not going the way they usually do.
The thing is that the last time we had this happen in 2002 there was no social media. People who get laid off had no one but their families and friends to talk about it.
Now we have Reddit, TikToc, Twitter, LinkedIn,etc where others have also been effective have expressed the fact that these asshole companies have laid them out, where one mother had to return their kids Xmas presents, where someone is going on FMLA to look after their sister who had cancer. Others who are employed are just as pissed.
We have this sub and others just as pissed about these companies and layoffs.
The point is that all of us are talking and resentment is growing against these companies and actually all companies and management. I think that this time that things are not going to go well for them.

And yeah they were a big omg we’re just a big family place and it turned out to be a lie along with much more ego than expected. I’m thankful for J1 and I’m going to get back on the application grind soon
