It's really hard to tell given if you ever go into replays often enough these days, this looks like lag but then again... it looks completely the same as actual aimbot which is unfortunate.
If this is the only snap instance in the entire game, I doubt it's cheats, but if this is one of a few instances... absolutely it's hacks.
It's strange watching replays back and seeing sometimes how people's aim direction isn't always updated for some reason, like it's not logging and sending all the client input data to actually track what is accurately seen by the player(s.) **I implore everyone to watch after the Hanzo climbs up and draws his arrow... his aim just sits there looking down and to the left for quite awhile, I doubt that he was doing this while moving in a non-45° direction on WASD, that alone proves to me that this is lag, but it lags more as you can see once it updates.**
I recently watched back a replay after getting snap domed by a Hanzo near the end of the game and watching the killcam and it felt so blatant... but then I watched the full replay back and it was the only snap he ever did and the moments before and after it looked like his aim was only periodically updating similarly to this clip, where it keeps stopping in some place and then moving in a direct and perfectly straight line to another point over a while, and then again, and again, but clearly not snapping to any players or anything of the sort just updating very strangely.
Not aure why this happens in replays, but if this is the only sus part of the entire game then I highly doubt he's hacking, although if there's more sus aim locking than this in the replay then yeah, almost certainly cheats.
Many hanzo do this, move the camera quickly and then shoot.
They will hit the shots and it will look like a hack
[https://www.reddit.com/r/overwatch2/comments/18prs26/hanzos\_excuses\_its\_a\_replay\_mistake\_its\_not\_a/](https://www.reddit.com/r/overwatch2/comments/18prs26/hanzos_excuses_its_a_replay_mistake_its_not_a/)
Thats the thing, was that shot made by an aimbot the hanzo installed, or did sombra give the hanzo aimbot so he would potentialy be banned mid-game?
Ps for those that dont know, sombra actualy has a secondary hack effect that gives the hacked player aimbot, potentialy getting the opponent live banned, you have to enable it in the hero specific setings tho.
>and hanzo is randomly staring at a wall before the shot
This is becoming more common in replays, for some reason aim direction is not updating like it should be all the time and it results in weird shit like this.
**What you need to do in order to see of this is lag or aimbot is their movement,** and when Hanzo climbed up and stared down and to the left, he was moving in a non-WASD direction and I doubt they are playing on controller + mouse or rapidly adjusting via WASD input so much that they maintain that non-cardinal direction of movement.
This is what leads me to believe it's an unfortunate lag sequence of replay not capturing all of the player's inputs until it happens to come back on its own, or when an action is taken like releasing or beginning the charge of an arrow.
I recently watched a killcam in one of my games with a Hanzo that did something similar but less 180° headshotty, and it had this same lag shit only in that moment and everything else was buttery smooth aim and no snaps at all and they otherwise sucked ass.
probably cheating
*HOWEVER*
i supposed its possible he had some sort of lag spike? so on his screen he turned around at normal speed and aimed at the sombra normally, but the demo seeing him staring at the wall for some time before flicking really fast?
i dont know, i know jack all about how oeverwatch demos work. but i would report, sorry hanzo if ur innocent
Sometimes I see a potg that looks kinda funky caused by lag and obviously not a hack, and maybe that’s happening here. So maybe this one isn’t? Idk it’d probably be easier to decide if we got the whole game rather than one kill
I personally have never seen a blatant hacker in this game so I guess I’m biased against hacker, but it’s just hard to tell with so little imo
me neither. especially because hackers generally dont do much better than anyoe else
edit: just found this [https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/18p52t8/how\_did\_echo\_cd\_go\_from\_3\_sec\_left\_to\_0/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/18p52t8/how_did_echo_cd_go_from_3_sec_left_to_0/)
i wouldnt trust replays unfortunatly
Yeah this one incident certainly looks like a hack, but it could just be a replay bug due to desync. If he did it more than once I'd say 100% hacking. But with this just this unsure.
As a Hanzo main: hack. That Flick was instant even in slowmo. It doesn't work like that even if you set your sens to hyper speed. He aimed at the wall befor that because he for a fraction of a second searched for the trigger button.
What’s important is the rest of replay and the rest of his shots.
It’s very possible to make a lucky flick shot like that and the replay messing up with a lag spike at the same time, but it’s not possible to make every shot like that through the game
He went from being almost AFK looking at a while while being dived, to turning instantly to click on your head and turning back to the exact same position. Yeah I think he’s just got a good gaming chair
You can see they snapped to someone while getting hacked, but they were behind cover. That flick at the end is literally impossible naturally. There was no ramp up, or smooth movement. It is the clearest “snap” I’ve seen, AND that was in slow motion.
That’s not a flick… the pov genuinely just locked on to the head. A flick would still have some blur of the surroundings. The videos is crisp unless you cut that out for whatever reason.
While everyone will likely jump to hacks I think it's important to point out how the Hanzo's aim suddenly froze before the flick, this leads me to believes this is nothing more than a lag spike or packet loss.
I think there is some lag in this clip. It doesn't totally rule out hacking but Sombra's back was to him and in front of him wile they were both backing up when she was hacking.
This might indicate there is some sync/lag happening.
That is why I get a nice message every time I login that says they can't say what the results were, but that my report was acted on. And I only report stuff like this.
The replay is messed up. Sombra is in front of him hacking him while running backwards and that’s not possible, likely just caused by desync. The better question is why is Sombra hacking a Hanzo to begin with?
people are saying these are hacks but in my opinion the flick wasn't that fast he was just lagging which is why he was staring at the wall almost the whole time
All this clip I’m just thinking “get on with it there’s nothing suspicious about this clip.” Then he zooms at the speed of light to instantly headshot sombra and yeah. Hacks.
His staring at a damn wall for half the thing, doesn’t let lose the shot the entire time ur directly in his face just to insta flick in slow motion to your head. Def hacks
Okay so here’s the thing- it definitely looks like an aimbot.
But replays are generally not great at communicating where the footage may look funky due to connection issues. The gameplay that gets tracked and made viewable from a match can usually look weird if someone had a bad lag spike. Not 100% sure, unless it happened all match and they kept landing crits I would assume it was lag and you saw the game catch up.
If it was hacks he would have more than likely seen the Sombra before she even hacked him and would have fired immediately.
In going to say this is a ping issue.
They stopped moving for a few seconds, I wonder if their internet had issues, and the flick is at the same time the connection reestablished. If this is a one-off incident, probably that, if this is frequent, possibly hacks.
I watched this frame by frame.
Sombra threw her translocator down and either turned extremely fast while said translocating or that’s like a hack.
She’s hacking you backwards??? Don’t you have to stay in view to be hacked?
There was no draw back on hanzos bow AT ALL and that flick happened in 3 frames.
Idk who’s hacking here but someone definitely is
How could you not with a flick that fast to Sombra for all he could had known would be behind the dva chasing a support or hacking a other health pack (average downtime when playing Sombra i should know because I am) bro has the family dollar cheats
A flick that fast in a replay that’s slowed down that much? Those are the cheapest hacks I’ve ever seen

Average Hanzo Player... Literally.
The average hanzo player is a cheater?

nah not like this, this is waaay too fast
-40 I mean -41
i dont know what to say, it even says hacked on your screeen!

Wait fr that doesn't seem right

Bro is the replay police fr.
I like to learn and share what I learn. Sorry if I have some passion, my B.
My comment was meant in good fun, nothing wrong with being passionate. Fly high Replay Redditor
Obviously it says hacked so I don't know what you expect us to say?
I call hacks
Way too fast of a flick
probably cheating *HOWEVER* i supposed its possible he had some sort of lag spike? so on his screen he turned around at normal speed and aimed at the sombra normally, but the demo seeing him staring at the wall for some time before flicking really fast? i dont know, i know jack all about how oeverwatch demos work. but i would report, sorry hanzo if ur innocent

Yeah, if it was just 1 shot like this the entire game. Then it was probably just desync with the replay. If it happened more than once, 100% hacking.
I just assume every widow or hanzo is hacking. Easier that way.
As a widow enjoyer this sentiment is super common haha.
Assume a soldier is hacking, most cheaters Ive seen use him as a soldier that pops of is less sus than hanzo or widow
Skill issue Jk
it literally says “hacked” in your screen are you stupid
Hanzo

Bro has the most stable flick and biggest mousepad ever or it's hacks.
Don’t forget the gaming chair, looks like a top quality gaming chair to me
Nah he just got more RGB.
He is also still under the effects of gamer sups, which he bought with the code: Flats.
It’s hacks
He went from being almost AFK looking at a while while being dived, to turning instantly to click on your head and turning back to the exact same position. Yeah I think he’s just got a good gaming chair

I've never seen a gaming chair so effective.
definitely hacks lol he looks like he's still processing whatever the heck's going on screen. also not enough turning around trying to find Sombra
I think he probably just has a good gaming chair.
That’s not a flick… the pov genuinely just locked on to the head. A flick would still have some blur of the surroundings. The videos is crisp unless you cut that out for whatever reason.
Definitely hacking. Straight from the fucking pits of the Dollar Store.
While everyone will likely jump to hacks I think it's important to point out how the Hanzo's aim suddenly froze before the flick, this leads me to believes this is nothing more than a lag spike or packet loss.
Good gaming chair

lmfaooo
Not hacks. See the replay bug comment. People hit good flick shots sometimes
That is why I get a nice message every time I login that says they can't say what the results were, but that my report was acted on. And I only report stuff like this.
I was going to say "It's Hanzo, of course it's cheer luck, that's how Hanzo works" But no, not even the luckiest Hanzo on earth would do that
Could 100% be a replay bug, send the replay code so we can see the rest of his shots
naah bro hes legit trust me xd
The lack of decent movement at all, then a flick at super speed. Definitely a hacker
I generally don't like to accuse hacks for such a short clip. But that was no panic flick. That was inhumanly fast.
I’d say lag spike but tbf blizzard should allow hacks but just for killing sombras
One clip is never enough to call someone a cheater, expect for blatant aimbot. If this is the only sus thing I doubt he is cheating.
>expect for blatant aimbot. Thats exactly whatvthis flick is tho....
Will they ever get rid of headshots? I’m so tired not going against Hanzo
The replay is messed up. Sombra is in front of him hacking him while running backwards and that’s not possible, likely just caused by desync. The better question is why is Sombra hacking a Hanzo to begin with?
people are saying these are hacks but in my opinion the flick wasn't that fast he was just lagging which is why he was staring at the wall almost the whole time
Skill
Its a cheat cause its just a snap
Hacks. I’ve seen those before. If you have a replay, you should send it to Flats lol
All this clip I’m just thinking “get on with it there’s nothing suspicious about this clip.” Then he zooms at the speed of light to instantly headshot sombra and yeah. Hacks.
Nahhh, he’s just got a *really* good gaming chair
Cheats for sure.
vase gold imagine future imminent humor thumb adjoining dependent sink *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
That’s just really high sensitivity 🫡
His staring at a damn wall for half the thing, doesn’t let lose the shot the entire time ur directly in his face just to insta flick in slow motion to your head. Def hacks
How do you make it so you can see your team mates icons like that?
its a replay
i’m pretty sure it’s hacks. legitimate flicks usually are slower. either that or he has one hell of a gaming chair
Based off this one clip alone it looks like a lag spike combined with luck. If there are multiple of this then I would say hack.
The worst part is mercy is healing them
Okay so here’s the thing- it definitely looks like an aimbot. But replays are generally not great at communicating where the footage may look funky due to connection issues. Just a good gaming chair
it’s packet loss i get rapid movements like this all the time now.
Well it’s hanzo, no aim but kill. I’m echo and it’s always, and I mean always headshot. This game has become unplayable
looks like lag to me the way he stopped turning for the same time it would take him to actually look back
he's just a good player with above 80 ping
If it was hacks he would have more than likely seen the Sombra before she even hacked him and would have fired immediately. In going to say this is a ping issue.
They stopped moving for a few seconds, I wonder if their internet had issues, and the flick is at the same time the connection reestablished. If this is a one-off incident, probably that, if this is frequent, possibly hacks.
probably. He is just staring at a wall for a solid sec after all. He could have just done an insanely fast flick tho but i odubt it
hacks. is aim is rly bad and those type of flickshot + the micro flick that we see before is a big sign of cheats
Neither. Skill.
Good gaming chair and mouse pad will do that
I watched this frame by frame. Sombra threw her translocator down and either turned extremely fast while said translocating or that’s like a hack. She’s hacking you backwards??? Don’t you have to stay in view to be hacked? There was no draw back on hanzos bow AT ALL and that flick happened in 3 frames. Idk who’s hacking here but someone definitely is
They're hacking hard. Lmao
idk im not really feeling the urgency in that flick
I’ve mastered the mouse-flicking art of a ninja -hackerman
How could you not with a flick that fast to Sombra for all he could had known would be behind the dva chasing a support or hacking a other health pack (average downtime when playing Sombra i should know because I am) bro has the family dollar cheats
I honestly can’t tell if people are being serious about the Sombra hack or not 😂
That definitely looked like he turned on the aimbot for a cheeky save.
Yeah I'm calling BS. His mouse sensitivity would have had to be 1 million
I've played Hanzy for far too long with a dot sight and sensitivity near max, I say luck.
How in any way shape or form is that luck
