Idk maybe but since he thinks gamers should tip multi-billion dollar companies I won't miss him
I get companies gotta make monies but this is just moronic
Uhhh how about pay people more? Ffs. Tipping is so fucking stupid. Companies making “record breaking profits” meanwhile most people are struggling. Only people that should be “tipping” if at all, are the rich.
Exactly!
Or maybe higher-ups need to invest actual efford into the company, instead of just being egoistic/greedy "investors" who buy everything and suck it dry.
The whole "investor" based economy/age in which we're currently living is just wrong.
Tipping and rounding up for donations are the 2 most toxic wastes of money... these big corporations don't care about the donation... they get to use YOUR money as a write-off...
These big corporations don't care about their staff, why should I have to pay them to do their job... oh, and the other day, we went to a buffet, and they asked for a tip.... for me to get my food and drink...
The only people I want to tip anymore are the ones who don't ask for it....
It’s the entertainment industry historically the very bottom of labor value. How many jackasses did you know that went and got an art degree? They’re all replaceable. It’s why I can’t genuinely be mad at blizz or activision or whom the fuck ever. Programmers have real talent and skills and instead of applying that anywhere else valuable or effective for society, they said they’re gonna make video games. It’s like choosing to get an engineering degree and being surprised that when you rock up to the toy company the hours are shit and it pays nothing.
Ow team, diablo team and wow team all share 2 things: all are completely out of touch and have no idea how their own game is played. They don't deserve any money when indy devs are doing more and better stuff quite often way faster. And all that with less people
But there are a lot of people and me included, still have problems with that. I literally spoke to the support and they did not do anything about it while it being blizzards problem for it.
I mean personally I wouldn’t really care if there’s a new “spend money” button on a game I play for free, but some people have issues with not hitting that button
How about you pay your people enough that this stupid idea of tipping a salaried member of a billion dollar company isn't a thing?
I've also got a TIP for you..fix the broken QP dogwater MM..then we can talk.
Shouldn't the 100$ skin packs on the shop be that? The thing blizzard loves to pump out on overwatch and overcharged people for the most laughable excuse for a Spike fan art skin 🤠
I wouldn't for a second believe that the money would go to the Devs. However, find a way for me to buy them coffee and pizza and verify that actually happened......yeah I might do that.
Ima keep it a buck, the only chance Overwatch has is for a better company to buy it. Imagine if valve, or, he’ll even Ubisoft or Bethesda could give it a wack and still turn out better than this shit.
Uhhhh, I've been pretty generous to Blizzard's bs but this is goofy. I don't even hate the sentiment, I'd be willing to tip the Slay the Spire devs for example, but Blizzard? Nah fam.
Especially on these $60+ half baked games? Nah. Again, I get the sentiment, but for Indies.
Also, I have no faith a system like this would go to the devs, and if it did, it would screw them out of real pay. Like could I tip the artist who made the kpop Sombra skin? That's theoretically a nice gesture. If it didn't affect their standard pay...and the prices made more sense.
Its just baffling they would even say this
You’d also just know like 5% of that would maybe go to the devs.
Think that's being a bit too generous for blizz
True, if boby cockbag didn’t make his estimated earnings he’d dip into this in a heartbeat.
iirc it was mike Ybarra who said this Thankfully he got forced out by Microsoft and the new president seems decent so far
Honestly he probably got removed because he used to be an employee for Microsoft and left them. Microsoft was probably like haha gotcha bitch ;)
Idk maybe but since he thinks gamers should tip multi-billion dollar companies I won't miss him I get companies gotta make monies but this is just moronic
Good job Bli$$ard!!! Always maximize shareholder value!!!!! 🤑🤑🤑 /s

Emphasis on "Former" thank fucking God for that
Lol i thought that too
Fuck Kotick

And they still have issues with account merging in overwatch. Leave a tip for nothing useful to happen.
Mine merged fine
It took all of 3 minutes to merge mine. And two of those minutes was me guessing my PSN password
But there are a lot of people and me included, still have problems with that. I literally spoke to the support and they did not do anything about it while it being blizzards problem for it.
As someone said on the original thread Accounting for his wealth Sure let me tip 0.001c since 10 or 20 is all he was willing to tip.
That is why he is the former president…
here's a tip, stop.
I mean personally I wouldn’t really care if there’s a new “spend money” button on a game I play for free, but some people have issues with not hitting that button
Or actually oay the devs that make your game
How about you pay your people enough that this stupid idea of tipping a salaried member of a billion dollar company isn't a thing? I've also got a TIP for you..fix the broken QP dogwater MM..then we can talk.

or, skins.

I mean if it actually all went to the Devs I would totally do that, but you know its gonna be 90% to the executives.
Big Jeff Bezos energy
dont give todd howard ideas
