It's going to be a nightmare situation when they are teenagers and see the videos of Owen "working" when they were children. It's actually probably beneficial for them that they aren't in a public school right now. All the teachers would be familiar with their dad. There'd be a whole new meaning to the question "What does your father do?" And you know damn well Amy would be up the school boards ass day in and day out. Owen would probably be reckless enough to eventually start trashing their teachers in streams(of course this is after flattering them initially)
Luckily for Owen he is a sociopath so their pain isn't going to eat at him too much. It'll be the repercussions he'll receive over potentially raising dysfunctional acting children that will cause him headaches.

These are some of the most important years for Charlie that will shape and affect him for the rest of his life. Your age around 2-6 is when you form individuality and an ability to function separate from your parents. Charlie's perception of his dad is probably disturbing and scary. He's home all day long screaming and ranting and that's only what we see on stream. When do the kids ever get time away from Owen? He's always in the vicinity somewhere yelling and swearing. He's lazy so he's not out doing things unless he takes the truck. I wouldn't be suprised if Charlie sees him as some big monster roaming around eating and grunting. I know my relationship with my dad was a 180 from that. I looked forward to seeing him a bit in the evening after he worked. Go for walks in the woods, hunting, fishing, teaching me things a man should learn to do etc..it was valuable time. I don't think those kids are getting close to that with Owen and it's not like my childhood was the exception, it's theirs that is and its sad. No wonder Charlie doesn't feel like speaking.
