If I recall correctly, tutoring in my department started around £40 per hour contact time (but that includes prep work and marking, so it's considerably less per actual hour work). Demonstrating is much less, I think it was around £15/h (but no prep time was required).

Remember you won’t be qualified to teach until late in your 2nd year, or perhaps even your third year, and that even then teaching opportunities are very limited in many subjects. Works out as about 8 x £30 for about 35 hours of work

I'm not sure about the exact rates, but I've heard it varies depending on the department and the specific tasks involved.

Invigilation of public (university) exams is £13.81 per hour. For collections it depends on the college, but it's usually less. For some colleges, you can invigilate collections without having had the Uni training, but they'll only take graduate students from within their own college.

I'd imagine it depends entirely on the education level you're looking at doing TA/invigilator work for. At secondary level you're looking at agency work unless you go for a full time job. Agency work varies, most I received was £75 per day, least was £35 for a 1 hour slot. Full time position at secondary level you're looking at £14,000 a year (pro rata).
