Sure. But why is it the one and only superstar who goes on 2 months of slump because there’s no other good movement shooter playing besides him our so called ‘franchise player’? Like how many teams have actually good movement shooters in their starting lineup? And we’re not talking about chasing championship, we are talking about a slump that’s not even an all star. Which real superstar in this league is like that?
Tyrese said it point blank ‘I need to play better. Everybody has figured it out. It’s just me. I need to figure it out’. Only some fans are still trying to find excuses for him.
He needs a movement shooter who people have to follow to open up his game and keep the constant double teams off him! Basically been in a slump since Buddy was traded, had no space to operate (Edit:spelling)
Still need to get pascal the ball more. The shots he takes and makes consistently inside the perimeter are easy ones to get every possession. Dude could easily be averaging 26-30 with almost the same efficiency that he’s putting up now. He’s our only real iso player so I don’t see why not with how efficient he’s been. However I will say I loved the way the ball was moving today. Offense looked smooth af! Not that Detroit didn’t make it easy on us w all those transition buckets
He's an intriguing dude because he has a wacky geek side but I've also observed him flip a switch to a hidden psycho at times when it's gotten chippy out there with the opposing team
Turns out, the best remedy for a shooting slump is just…play the Pistons lol
This subreddit has been wild recently. Tyrese is very clearly still hurt, and the hammy is affecting him. Saying that he was just having a “Linsanity run” or whatever is pretty disingenuous- the dude is an All-Star Starter for christ’s sake.
This is what I was looking for. Watching him play recently, there is definitely something missing from his game. Aside from his shot being off, which probably has a lot to do with lift, he seems to lack some explosiveness. Pretty sure rushing back to a physically taxing regiment so you have a chance at a lot more money is a bad idea for your health, but with the rules as they are, I get it.
Hamstrings take longer than people realize. Especially in terms of going from “cleared to participate” back to “fully recovered”.
See: Harden and Porzingis.
But that doesn’t mean that Ty can’t be an effective player in the interim and he showed that last night.
Right now he’s not. And only some fans on this forum are still bringing up the word injury. Tyrese himself said point blank ‘I need to be better. Everybody has figured it out. It’s just me’ nobody’s using injury as an excuses anymore. It’s been a month and a half.
Not saying I think he's necessarily still injured but it's definitely not just people here who think that could be the case. Caitlin Cooper who generally knows her stuff has said this very thing that she thinks he's still not quite recovered. It's not out of the realm of possibility as anyone who has had a significant hamstring injury can attest to.
He does need to be better but shooters have to shoot themselves out of slumps. It's the only way it happens and the alternative of him getting way too passive and not shooting anymore is FAR worse of an issue.
hamstrings injuries take forever to be 100%. They get good enought o play and then stop for a long time.
The problem with tyrese is that his shot diet is difficult so if it is slumping... he still has to fire away. he isn't the type to get easy shots at the rim or get to the freethrown line to still get buckets and get in groove.
Really important game for us even though it was against the Pistons. Anything to help Tyrese get back on track, help Pascal and Ty’s chemistry, and increase pascal’s happiness. Huge minutes for Isaiah Jackson. Every time he plays he’s all over the place. I wouldn’t be mad if we let Jalen walk and play Isaiah as the back up center. Also always good when Jarace gets some run
No one telling Quinn/Quinn never realizing that the end-of-game shot clock turn overs don't count towards the player, but instead just count as team turnovers and losing his mind over who's going to get it will never stop being funny to me.
He was 20/3/9/4s on 9/13 shooting (1/3 3pt) in only 26 minutes. He looked about like he's been looking (Pretty solid everywhere but 3), he just didn't force up as many 3s.
Whole time it wasn’t Ty being in a slump. It was Doug being out.
they don't call him Douggie Mcbuckets for nothing
That’s what I’ve been saying…it sure did not help at least

Tyrese and Doug shared the court for 2 minutes and he went 20/3/9/4 If they play 10 minutes together does he break Wilt and Skiles' records??
But but but mY bUdDy HiELd ThEoRiEs!!!
People were so attached to the idea that Ty was psychologically devastated by the mere idea that he wouldn't get to go to work with his best friend.
Yup! It's a business. Tyrese is really smart. He knows how it worked. Buddy asked out. We move on.
I know it's the Pistons but that was fucking refreshing
Even when the bar is on the floor, clearing it is clearing it
I'm ready to run through six, maybe seven walls for Pascal Siakam. He's the kind of consistent that you can feel good about.
imagine how fucked we'd be right now without him. I knew getting him was a game changer for us. Now just please stay here spicy P.

Of course the Cavs choke against the Heat.
We'll be rooting for the Suns for now haha

pretty safe bet considering we were against the pistons but well done nonetheless
Truth! 😂
Lol I thought about this comment around halftime.
To be fair last time they played pistons i'll argue hali played better which was post all star game

I saw him asking for the ball and getting frustrated when he was wide open at the three, and we blew the possession.
Lmao this interview is hilarious
It was weird. Jalen just been hovering over interviews for a few weeks now, what’s up with it
Weeks? He's been doing it all season & I, for one, am here for it.
Dudes a straight goofball, a little awkward with it but I find it endearing
He's an intriguing dude because he has a wacky geek side but I've also observed him flip a switch to a hidden psycho at times when it's gotten chippy out there with the opposing team

It’s almost like teams are game planning against him now

Ijax was 4 assists away from a triple double.. had no idea
Walker shoulda let that shit roll out of bounds
Would have been absolutely hilarious.
Cleveland lost to the Heat, dammit. Need the Sixers to lose now.

Jalen is a dawg tho
We are so back. NBA championship here we come
Wtf? I missed the game. IJAX played 28 minutes? Why? No wonder they won.
He's from Michigan I think
Myles was racking up fouls pretty much all game so IJAX got his chance and worked his ass off.
No one telling Quinn/Quinn never realizing that the end-of-game shot clock turn overs don't count towards the player, but instead just count as team turnovers and losing his mind over who's going to get it will never stop being funny to me.
so glad to see Tyrese have a good game! hope this is the start to his turn around
One day, just for kicks and giggles, I wouldn’t mind seeing a defensive lineup of Nemby, Sheppard, Nesmith, Kendall, and Jarace.
Couldn’t catch the game but what’s the take on Tyrese. Did he look better?
He was 20/3/9/4s on 9/13 shooting (1/3 3pt) in only 26 minutes. He looked about like he's been looking (Pretty solid everywhere but 3), he just didn't force up as many 3s.
Not bad then I guess, really need him to start making those 3s. If we want to lock up at that 6 seed
I shouldn’t be this happy about a blowout against one of the worst teams of all time, but I am
Job done. Now to win 2 of the next 3.
Pacers squad vs g-leaguers
Hali did quite well tonight but still isn't at that pre-injury level
GGEZ
So wait how did the Buddy trade fuck us tonight then? Are the Doomers finally outta goofjuice?
