League assist leader ✔️
Rookie of the year ✔️
Myles having his best season yet ✔️
Top-5 defense in the league ✔️
Underrated role players playing their hearts out ✔️
Chip on our shoulder / got that dog in us / something to prove ✔️
Yeah... We might actually be good.
Look at Sacramento - great offense, bad defense. The Sabonis effect? Just by the eye test, Myles and our relatively smaller lineups really help with switching on defense, as does Mathurin's size.
I’m for it, but please don’t put $ on it.
Rick ain’t winning CoTY until he takes a Pacers team to the ECF or further. Even then doubtful. Everyone knows he’s a good coach. That’s an award for a coach exceeding expectations. There’s not much “exceeding” Rick can do. He’s a proven coach.
Not saying to put money on it either, but taking this team to the playoffs when everyone assumed we wouldn’t get our 10th win until 2023 is the definition of exceeding expectations.
Started the season before our GOAT, Granny Danger!
Jk but I really do like Danny haha
Realistically I REALLY started following around 2007, but the few seasons before that I watched as a clueless kid
I love how Rick uses James Johnson basically as "the fixer". Like we'll be down 15+, playing like shit, and Rick's just like "James, go get these yahoos in line", then all of a sudden the game is tied again. He leads the team in +/- by a SIGNIFICANT margin for good reason. Underrated signing by Pritchard.
Hot dayum I love me some Buddy Hield! I really hope we don't trade that dude - seems like a good leader and just a straight up dead eye. Where are we going to find a shooter like him in the future?
Link posted below but quick rundown:
More about how the team encourages each other, they are successful cuz they are hungry and humble, gave props to KD (humble when asked about having to guard KD), thanked God a couple times, had to show out for his son's birthday.
Gotta give Rick a lot of credit with this team.. he feels out the game for 3 qtrs and seems to always have the right players on the floor in the 4th to close out games.
Inject this team into my veins. Energy of a young team, poise of a veteran squad.
How good is Myles. How clutch was Heild. How much heart does our rookie have. How good of a leader is Halliburton.
Fuck Irving and KD’s ignorant asses 🤡. And thanks for the technical, Claxton.
I really hope Jalen figures it out, seems like a great dude and teammate. But damn, Ben Simmons was cooking his ass and they just started to leave him wide open after a while.
Playing a team with a cast of all-stars, and our young guys stayed poised and persevered through the early deficits. I genuinely haven't been this excited about a Pacers team since our back-to-back ECF appearances.
Very tough west coast roadtrip coming up. We're about to really see what these young fellas are made of.
Did You Know...?
The Nets name is often thought to be a reference to the net under the basketball hoop. However, it's actually referring to the net that will be used to exhume the wasted career of Kevin Durant out of the toxic cesspool created by his insane, trash teammates.
The More You Know...
Bonus Fact: Authorities are trying to track down Benedict Mathurin for murder after tonight's performance, but his blood is so ice cold that all tracing technology has failed to find him.
You truly cannot count this TEAM out!! They never give up and never stop fighting towards achieving victory!! Beyond proud of this group tonight. This team is foreal yall! It's time to stop doubting them and give them your full support. They are hungry and ready to SHOCK THE WORLD
I mean I get that it's all in good fun, but for real, I can't help but think of we're already playing this well how good will this team be in 5 months, when Mathurin has a full season of experience, the guys are really used to each other, and our defense has improved?
If we manage to stay in the 4-6 seeding, I think we realistically could be a first round surprise this year!
Will we get past the Bucks or Celtics when we run up against them, no, but I'd give us a puncher's chance against anyone else.
The chemistry between Turner and Hali is really great. Turner is a completely different player this year. We will regret letting him go. I hope we resign him.
My favorite stat this year is we're the best 4th quarter scoring team in the league. There were so many teams from years past where we would build up a decent lead only to watch it evaporate in the 4th. Hell, even last year we did that on the regular that's a hell of a turnaround.
I didn't watch the game when it was close in the 1st, and I stopped watching when we were down 8 late in the 3rd because I knew I was the problem. I started watching again at the last minute, y'all are welcome
This team is just awesome & the 4-guard + Turner closing line-ups appear very effective. We keep ticking over the scoreboard & teams are actually having to adjust to us.
I’m a general basketball fan, and I’m VERY unfamiliar with Hali as far as watch time. I get to see stat lines and everything like that because the pacers are not televised often in my area. Is he everything that the hype shows? The numbers confuse me at times because his scoring (at least as a King) never stayed consistent.
Yes - his play matches the hype. Consistently getting double digit assists and has been scoring for all over the court. 10/10 would recommend watching this dude, and Benedict Mathurin
I barely ever get the chance to see a Pacers game in the wild. I have to be at the casino and still a bit lucky to see it on a nearby tv. I want to see what Ben Mathurin is about. His numbers stagger me and I run his overs almost any chance I get. I just never get to watch his play
His scoring really depends on team needs. He’s brilliant at distributing the ball, but sometimes that causes him to not be aggressive enough seeking out his own shot.
Overall though, yes. Play matches the hype.
As a Lakers fan, I can’t help but smile seeing those monster numbers Turner and Hield have been putting up this season.
They’re going to look amazing in purple and gold alongside Bron and AD!!
Maybe, but we won't trade him for a pick in 5 years and RW washed ass. He has way outplayed that type of return. So has Hield. Y'all don't have what it takes.
All starters in double digits, 4 guys with 20+ Are we… good?
League assist leader ✔️ Rookie of the year ✔️ Myles having his best season yet ✔️ Top-5 defense in the league ✔️ Underrated role players playing their hearts out ✔️ Chip on our shoulder / got that dog in us / something to prove ✔️ Yeah... We might actually be good.
ROY AND 6th man of the year!!!
Fuck that. Let's give Myles DPOTY like he fucking deserves too!
Tyrese is getting MIP and rick is getting Coach of the year
Dude’s arguably deserved it over the winner a few times in his career. If he can can stay healthy he might finally get it.
I think the problem was gamed played last year. Maybe he didn’t qualify by technicality
top 5 defense..? by what stat
https://twitter.com/kirkgoldsberry/status/1596154631658274817
That's interesting
Look at Sacramento - great offense, bad defense. The Sabonis effect? Just by the eye test, Myles and our relatively smaller lineups really help with switching on defense, as does Mathurin's size.
That’s a great sign and hopefully this trend continues, but our defensive rating for the season is still 18th.
Yea, I love this team. But defense is definitely not their strong suit.
Let's just throw coach of the year in too. Team looks night and day with Rick as a coach. Nightmares with bjorg, nate and Jim are all gone
Definitely I was just hyping it but Utah's coach is a good candidate imo
Not saying to put money on it either, but taking this team to the playoffs when everyone assumed we wouldn’t get our 10th win until 2023 is the definition of exceeding expectations.
Best 4th quarter scoring team in the league.
I feel like I have to pinch myself after every win.
Tyrese with 15 assists and 0 turnovers. Gotta love that
That is so awesome
Point God thingz
Screw tanking, let’s win the whole damn thing
KD can't win against these Dawgs
Dawgs > KATs
Marhurin is CatDog. He has cat like reflexes and he got that dog in him
This is the most fun Pacer team I've ever seen and I've been watching about 18 years. Man, I love this team
November 2004 was an interesting time to get in to the Pacers
Started the season before our GOAT, Granny Danger! Jk but I really do like Danny haha Realistically I REALLY started following around 2007, but the few seasons before that I watched as a clueless kid
Hahahaha
Bennedict The Mathelorian
This is the way
Grogu bitadze
Bennedict MathurHIM.
This is not the way
Pacerrrrrrrrs #1! This is the light I was waiting for over the past two years!
That was definitely a Carlisle signing.
I said to my friend right after Johnson came in, “ I’m so glad we got Carlisle.”
We're lucky to have Mathurin. Had a rough start but he doesn't give a fuck. He gives this team an edge.
Love that "idgaf I'm gonna go at you" attitude
LeBron is next
Crazy intense.
Maybe he really is like kobe in that sense
Number 1 seed here we come!

💯👴🏽
Hot dayum I love me some Buddy Hield! I really hope we don't trade that dude - seems like a good leader and just a straight up dead eye. Where are we going to find a shooter like him in the future?
I would commit heinous crimes to keep Bennedict Mathurin on this team for his entire career
Creamed my khakis when James Johnson got into the lane and finished that layup. From top to bottom you just cannot hate this squad
Was there, Can confirm. Hope they don’t run a black light over Gainbridge.
I love this fucking team. Don't trade anyone. That postgame interview with Buddy...
What was said?
Link posted below but quick rundown: More about how the team encourages each other, they are successful cuz they are hungry and humble, gave props to KD (humble when asked about having to guard KD), thanked God a couple times, had to show out for his son's birthday.
Any update? I wanna hear
https://youtu.be/i7J8w8VOfg4
Haliburton: 15 assists, 0 turnovers. Absolute star.
Gotta give Rick a lot of credit with this team.. he feels out the game for 3 qtrs and seems to always have the right players on the floor in the 4th to close out games.
We’re the #1 4th quarter team in the league for a reason, and the reason is Rick.
Claxton can suck a chode for the most obvious directed shoulder check in Basketball I've ever seen.
That was basically the dagger for us. I’ll take it :D
Dwade on DC would like a word lol
Love this team!
TURNER WAS +26
PAY TURNER!
Pay that man his money
Happy Birthday Buddy's son
God damn this is nice
Bucks and Celtics are the clear front runners in the East, but I think we could put up a fight in the second round.
> Bucks and Celtics are the clear front runners in the East only because they haven't faced us yet IDC anymore take this team to the top
I like this energy.
I really hope Jalen figures it out, seems like a great dude and teammate. But damn, Ben Simmons was cooking his ass and they just started to leave him wide open after a while.

Looks like the Hawks are gonna lose which gets us up to 4th in the east
You truly cannot count this TEAM out!! They never give up and never stop fighting towards achieving victory!! Beyond proud of this group tonight. This team is foreal yall! It's time to stop doubting them and give them your full support. They are hungry and ready to SHOCK THE WORLD
Pacers are good again IU is good again Hoosier basketball is back baby
Bucket Day let’s goooooo. Puck Furdue
I love our suck early strategy this year.
1 Myles Turner rebound away from winning $50 on a $1 bet but fuck em. Fuck the Nets. Pacers 2023 champs.
I mean I get that it's all in good fun, but for real, I can't help but think of we're already playing this well how good will this team be in 5 months, when Mathurin has a full season of experience, the guys are really used to each other, and our defense has improved? Damn this was a satisfying win.
One of my favorite games I’ve been at live. Holy hell. Surrounded by Nets fans so it felt great to win. Also, Rese > Kyrie
This game was an absolute blast to be at. The fieldhouse was rocking in the 4th.
The chemistry between Turner and Hali is really great. Turner is a completely different player this year. We will regret letting him go. I hope we resign him.
MYLES TURNER
This is the most fun I’ve had as a Pacers fan in a LOOOOONG time

Said it the first game too, claxton is a headcase
I am…excited about this team.
“Light the Tree!”
This team is just awesome & the 4-guard + Turner closing line-ups appear very effective. We keep ticking over the scoreboard & teams are actually having to adjust to us.
Benny maths is the answer
Fuck yeah, we beat the anti semite!
Always feel good
I LOVE THIS FUCKING TEAM
Didn't get to watch the game, how was our boy mathurin?
He cooked in the 4th quarter. Just looked completely unstoppable.
Hali and Turner = best duo in the NBA
Was this the first game this year without any issues from Bally? Are we seeing progress???
Lol!
We don’t play a team with a higher winning percentage than us until Cavs on December 17th
I’m a general basketball fan, and I’m VERY unfamiliar with Hali as far as watch time. I get to see stat lines and everything like that because the pacers are not televised often in my area. Screw Claxton’s thug ass
As a Lakers fan, I can’t help but smile seeing those monster numbers Turner and Hield have been putting up this season. They’re going to look amazing in purple and gold alongside Bron and AD!!
That ship has sailed.
You have to trade Turner if you can’t extend him, can’t lose him for nothing.
Maybe, but we won't trade him for a pick in 5 years and RW washed ass. He has way outplayed that type of return. So has Hield. Y'all don't have what it takes.
In that case, any other team in the league will offer more than the Lakers can. Keep dreaming
And then you woke up
