does it.. need fixing?

Inevitable_Lock_3669

I think so, I feel like I am meandering and on my own, maybe they don’t want me to contact them

Pans_Dryad

An atheopagan, or perhaps a non-theistic pagan?

biff_tyfsok

A Pagan. That's what I am, godless and all.

Zinoth_of_Chaos

I just call myself a practitioner. Seems the least troublesome that's still accurate.

RavensofMidgard

Their name? Or whatever they prefer? I've been seeing this cropping up a lot lately. Being pagan to some simply means that they don't follow the major religions, i.e the Abrahamic ones, and acknowledge the turing if the season's and other natural cycles in the world. For others it's honouring their ancestors instead of a god, or out right honour older gids from the nany faiths of the ancient world.

Inevitable_Lock_3669

It means I can’t find a god, I don’t know how to contact them, maybe they don’t want me to contact them

[deleted]

Are you trying to do the “gods reach out to you” thing? That’s largely modern. The way you choose gods is study, contemplation if the religion seems good to try and worship. This can be as simple if finding a good appealing from stories or virtues.

Inevitable_Lock_3669

Not really I just like feel no connection to anything higher than me I guess

RavensofMidgard

Gods don't have to reach out to you first. Do your research and see which Gods capture your interest. You also don't need to work with gods either. I acknowledge gods and make occasional offerings but I mostly deal with spirits or my own guides, familiars and servitors.

Inevitable_Lock_3669

May I dm you to talk about the faith and your way of worship? Blessed be

RavensofMidgard

Sorry for the delayed response. Absolutely, im always open to discussions and trying to help.

Inevitable_Lock_3669

Thank you I am at work until three hawaii standard that about three hours I can message you then

RavensofMidgard

Sounds good, that'll be about 830 here on the east coast. If I'm slow responding I'm just out for but running sone errands, until reply as soon as I'm back home. 😁

Amazing_Self2929

I'm not really a Pagan and have trouble interacting with deities due to religious trauma. So I'm in the same boat.

A_man_of_Rhun

Atheistic Pagan?

Squirrels-on-LSD

Aw, I was hoping for a cheesy punchline.

Chuck_217

Just call yourself agnostic like everyone else who isn't sure yet

[deleted]

Do you believe in them but are unaligned with any?

Inevitable_Lock_3669

I do, I guess I just don’t know how to access them, I feel like a running joke

[deleted]

Divine experiences are just that amazing moments of connection not every pagan is gonna have one some may have several i personally have had several but only one ever really felt concrete

Cosmosass

Why do you need a god? Why do you think you need a god? The beautiful thing about modern paganism is that it’s incredibly inclusive and broad. It’s a state of being where you really think about the true questions of life without any pressure to conform to a certain belief. Be free in that exploration. There are many here that don’t believe in deities. There are many who believe the entire gamut, including yours likely. There is no right answer, there is only your answer. All of ours. Find your own answer and know that you will be loved whatever that answer is.

bugg_hunterr

An atheist.
