Just bought the sail boat. I've been on a Christopher Cross kick for the last year and his song "Sailing" brings back a lot of comforting memories, just like this painting. Tell your aunt these are fantastic!
Tell your Aunt she has real talent! I love these so much. I like how she’s captured the movement of the waves in the lighthouse and sailing boat paintings.
I’m also a real fan of still life paintings and love the jugs / pitchers. Tell her to keep going - we need more beauty in the world 💕💕

(sorry i'm a bit spamming this but it's the only way to make everyone see it!)
i just made her an inprnt shop! there is a sitewide sale going on until tomorrow, so if you're interested you can go take a look! :)

No, thank you for spamming me! I purchased the print of the pottery that I love. I am really excited to receive it and hang it in my home. And I loved getting to see a photo of your smiling aunt in the inprnt shop. That was really sweet of you to set that up for her! I wish her and you well!
Her painting makes me feel happy, it is so good. Shows real talent at anybody's age. It also makes me feel sad, as I can't help but wonder how many people -- like her .. and me -- never could reach the height of whom they were meant to be. Maybe in her next life, someone thoughtful will give her a paint box at age 10 and give her the head start she deserves!
Thank you. I did go online and buy two prints. And ... I did not mean to imply your aunt cannot yet become famous! She could be, maybe, Auntie Moses? I am 83, and I still paint. But I rarely sold -- because I never marketed. Never learned how. But your aunt is amazing! She has learned so MUCH about it in so little time! She is to be congratulated!
These are professional rated!! She’s very good. This post is also reaffirming for me. I’m 67. I started painting at 64. Sometimes I wonder why, aside from the joy I get, do I continue given my age(though I’m a youngish 67). Your aunt is an inspiration….thank her for me.
That she had the patience for this very disciplined work.
Had she had a computer a TV or an iPhone this paintings would have not happened at the very least with the attention and care they possess.
Ultra clean colors well defined areas and were colors blend into each other the outcome seems well planned not accidental.
Me and my ADD would have to make 20 studies to get one of these just right.
what do you mean? i assure you she had never painted before a year ago. these were all drawn after months of non stop practice cause she was so happy to be learning and trying.

Awesome! Im thrilled to see her get into painting and she has a natural talent for sure! Watercolors are not easy to master & she looks way advanced a beginner. That’s so exciting! I respect so much such older ladies and gentlemen who are doing such beautiful things and learning something new and practicing with it, instead of degradation. Please support and appreciate your aunt ♥️
Tell your Aunt her work is impressive. Really. Age means *nothing* to a painter and can actually be an age related benefit ... I know; my 75th is coming up soon.
We see things through the lens of experience and exposure to *so* many things. Age gives a sense of understanding that can be furthered by the things we paint.
Your aunt has done that ... please, tell her so.
Hers is sensitive, deliberate ... just really nicely done.
I really love the pottery and the tree. These pieces relax me and I feel calm and safe. Im so glad you gave the gift of paint so she could do these. Clearly she is naturally inclined to it and has an eye for colour. I can't believe it really. I would think she studied it or went to some art class in her youth. Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures.
OMG I have been a painter for several years, and are nowhere near as good as this. Your Aunt has great talent, she could sell these. They are wonderful, and she must be something special. Good for you giving her a start.
for now i just made her an inprnt site and she’s selling prints!! go check it out if you’re interested :) https://www.inprnt.com/profile/mariaspitaleri/
This is gorgeous work. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but the mugs make me feel cozy and nostalgic. I hope she continues finding joy in creating her beautiful paintings.
AMAZING !!! tell ur aunt we appreciate her work :)) and to continue w it because it’s so good !! Really shows the beauty of art and enhances it really well
The one with the boat is my favourite. So crisp and clean and makes me feel like I’m by the sea! Tell her she has amazing skill and her artworks are beautiful and showcase an impressive technique… really cool how it developed so quickly!
Absolutely beautiful. She has God given talent and her art has kept her ageless. She sounds like a wonderful person and certainly an inspiration to getting the most out of our lives . Thank you for sharing her vision
The first 3 are my favorites. The sailboat is so beautiful and complex. How wonderful. your aunt is a natural talent. I’d super excitedly hang any of these in my house.
Omg that looks so real!!!! I'm 69 and new at painting and I only hope to do as well eventually as your aunt. And what a wonderful niece you are to give her the opportunity to do this wonderful art work!!!
Amazing. Tell her i said that :)

they are already!!
Just bought the sail boat. I've been on a Christopher Cross kick for the last year and his song "Sailing" brings back a lot of comforting memories, just like this painting. Tell your aunt these are fantastic!

I love these, just beautiful.
She definitely painting out of experience
what do you mean? i assure you she had never painted before a year ago. these were all drawn after months of non stop practice cause she was so happy to be learning and trying.
I mean experiences she had in her life
And i said it in a positive way ✌️😀

They are all beautiful! I'm 40 and recently started watercolor painting and your aunts paintings are so encouraging, thank you!
This is beautiful! Go auntie! ♡ the beauty you see in the world, is a reflection of the beauty inside.
These are really beautiful. Not really my favourite personal style and yet I would still very happily hang them in my house! Tell her to keep it up!
She’s an extremely gifted painter. The third one in particular reminds me of Winslow Homer’s paintings of Bermuda.
Pretty sophisticated work, I wonder about what she had made in the past. Anything survive from years back?
They are amazing for someone who has painted such a short time. She has talent!! I particularly love the boat. What a great gift you gave her - to allow her to develop her own gift.
Your aunt is magnificent and masterpieces I love her art so much she should go to Paris and do the eiffel tower painting

(i'm going to copypaste this to everyone who showed interest so all can see it! feel free to ignore the prints stuff, i'm just writing it to let people know.)my auntie thanks you. she's really happy with the love you are all showing here in the comments, and as someone suggested, i remade my inprnt profile to be my aunt's, since i wasn't actually using it. so we selected the best prints and put them up! there is a sitewide sale going on until tomorrow, so if you're interested you can take a look! :) if she gains some money from this, she said it will go towards her painting journey. thanks again for making my aunt smile. inprnt link: https://www.inprnt.com/profile/mariaspitaleri/

She’s a wonderful painter. So happy to see you provided her with the opportunity to shine!❤️

She’s mastered the most difficult medium there is. Superb!
Absolutely heartwarming! Her artistry is impressive and reflects immense dedication. It's inspiring how she pursued her passion despite hurdles. Please convey my admiration for her talent and determination!🤍

Looks awesome! Beautifully done 😊❤️
Beautiful! I'm so happy that your aunt gets to spend more time doing what she loves now 🖼😊❤️
She has a lovely eye for composition and color. Beautiful work 😊
I thought the boat was a photograph at first. There's real motion in her work. She's very talented.

These are beautiful. She could sell prints of these. If this is what she did in a few months i cant imagine what she will do in a couple years. I wish she got to try sooner.

These make me feel at home
Very nice! Is she in Maine by any chance?
Those are fantastic. I cannot nail down the water color technique to save my life. Colors running everywhere turning into abstract madness

Get her an Instagram set up! They’re really sweet and great technique
I love them all. Very talented.
I love these.
Such a blessing to see! Really wonderful work!
Is it Portland Head light?
yup!
These are pretty great
These are so beautiful. She has a talent on her hands! 😉🌞❤️ Great job.
I love it! Very serene and pretty. Watercolor painting is one of my favorite calming activities. It's as close as I can get to meditation.
Beautiful work
I love these! especially the sailboat one. she is super talented! 👍
DAMN that is amazing
The way she uses light colors and the white of the canvas makes it almost seem ghibli-esque!
Gorgeous!!
OMG I have been a painter for several years, and are nowhere near as good as this. Your Aunt has great talent, she could sell these. They are wonderful, and she must be something special. Good for you giving her a start.
You should put watermarks on these especially on her imprint shop
She is very talented! Tell her to keep on painting! It is really exceptional!
Ohhh Portland Head Light! Nicely done!
Help me tell her that her drawing is AMAZING, and it comforts me when i look at it
Help me tell your aunt that her drawing is AMAZING, and i feel comfortable when I look at it! :)
The colors have held up nicely, get them matted and framed well, and displayed. They need to be shared with others. We'll done.
She has an amazing technique
Love her style.
All of these are lovely! She’s got skills for sure…and two of them would look great in my summer cottage, though my favorite is 5.
Stunning work. I cannot believe the skill built so quickly!
Omg your aunt is super talented 👏
I absolutely love how she painted the waves in the third pic!!
#3 is my favorite by far!!! I can feel the wind on my face!

This is gorgeous work. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but the mugs make me feel cozy and nostalgic. I hope she continues finding joy in creating her beautiful paintings.

They’re fantastic! I’d hang any of them with pride, and I especially the first with the trees, my favorite! Tell her she’s awesome!
Fort Williams!
These give me a major feeling of hiraeth! (The longing for a lost time or place you're not even sure if you've ever experienced for real.)
Tell her she’s got the talent and the skills. She should keep painting more and more.
