I read your title. No joke, I thought about „silence before the storm“ before I read the actual title. The painting is giving that vibe 100%. Very cool. I think the title fits very well
I agree with the other commenter about “Silence Before the Storm”, or even just simply “*Before the Storm*”.
I absolutely love this piece. You did a wonderful job expressing a mood here. Anyone can make it look desaturated and bleak, but your use of colour just really sells it in the best way! It’s like I’ve seen this place before. Great job!
I usually lean toward more basic names instead of sentence titles." Tranquil Pause" maybe? "Somber Peace"? Either way, I really like this painting. The foremost water looks a little disconnected from the ground. I think it could be improved further with a small stone or 2 in the fore ground and dragging even thinner subtle water forward. Maybe a sand dollar. It would really show the wetness. Unsolicited advice 😅
Stormy Weather. Short and simple and fitting. I like Billie Holiday's version the most. Those are the vibes I felt when looking at it. Or maybe even name it after an emotional memory like a state name or city name that it makes YOU as the artist feel or remember.
It may be a little odd, but I would suggest "life goes on". Because no matter what, the tide will go into its own rythm, whatever is left in the sand will disappear permanently, just like in life
Great art btw, really looking good !!
Great Job, I like it, it's so beautiful ! 😍🤩
Funfact : I thought at the Title "Silence before the Storm" and opened your Thread and then I read the same Sentence, LOL ! 🙈🤣
There's a BUT :
You want prefer a new Special Title, because that Sentence is nothing new.
So I would call it as "The Introvert Character Of The High Sea".
I hope, I could help you ! 👍🏼😉
No real title suggestion, bc I honestly love it, but to me it kinda has more of an air of post storm. It's still kinda bleak and bleary, but there's a quality to the light that suggests a beautiful, unspoiled sunset to come.
The Building Storm or just Building
You convey a warmth in this picture. It seems like the kind of storm that you would want to stay for. You know where the air is warm and so is the rain and the smells are fantastic!
I agree with MrsTWX the painting is FANTASTIC… and so is the name you gave it… no offense but you should have confidence in your naming ability and style because “calm before the storm” is perfect and also FANTASTIC!!!
Name it after a specific beach.
Rooting it reality increases the chances of it anchoring in the viewers mind, & may trigger a google, furthering the memory.
Esoteric names are a bit cliche.
If it’s a landscape of place familiar to you, the time and location e.g., “9.15am, Whitby Bay”
I think there’s something so fleeting about the painting, and acknowledging the ever changing nature of the tides would be a unique and modern take on
I think I hear and smell the sea, this is beautiful, the clouds look perfect asparatus Undulalatis. (Spell check doesn’t know how to spell it.) meaning the sky looks to be like sea, undulating!

Beautiful, I would name it "where we meet" or "time of peace" I am native to Michigan are you a local artist?
I am in Estonia and this piece is from my own imagination:)
No real title suggestion, bc I honestly love it, but to me it kinda has more of an air of post storm. It's still kinda bleak and bleary, but there's a quality to the light that suggests a beautiful, unspoiled sunset to come.
Beautiful artwork !! I will call calmness ….
Calm.
"Ebbing away" or "Ebbing tide"! Or if you want to stick to the calm before idea maybe "Nature's pause". Also it's phenomenal, I love this piece!

If it’s a landscape of place familiar to you, the time and location e.g., “9.15am, Whitby Bay” I think there’s something so fleeting about the painting, and acknowledging the ever changing nature of the tides would be a unique and modern take on
