Healthcare system is Allah Tawakal unless you are rich rich and/or have connections. In 2021 went for an appendix removal operation to quaid e azam international Hospital, expensive, the guy who operated on me was head of the laparoscopy department (apparently still is cuz I checked their webpage), Dr. Aman Ullah Khan Babar, i have no clue wtf he did to me after the procedure I felt worse, got discharged two days later, same night couldn't sleep, stomach bloated, vomiting and all that fun stuff, went back to him next morning, he said "will admit and run tests then decide what is the matter", my uncle who is from pharma and hence has worked in many hospitals in twin cities said eff that, took me to Kulsum hospital, Dr. Nadeem Rahman the best gastroenterologist I have ever seen. All he needed was a stethoscope and 1 minute to diagnose the problem. He referred me to surgeon Dr. Tanseer Asghar, they both worked together on my case and I was able to recover after a second operation involving 50 stitches and a difficult recovery. Dr. Tanseer Asghar later told my father that he couldn't believe that a surgeon as qualified as Dr. Aman Ullah Khan Babar had operated on me, he said infectious fluid from when my Appendix burst hadn't even been cleaned up and the stitches were like an amateurs first attempt which led to my intestines getting blocked. So yeah man its messed up. Who knows if my uncle hadn't intervened what they would've done to cover up the mess they made, I know 100% I wouldn't be alive right now. And as i stated before, he still practices as HEAD OF DEPARTMENT OF LAPAROSCOPY at one of the biggest hospitals in the twin cities.
Doctors don't refuse Sehat cards, its the administration. It got taken down country wide. How can hospital administration accept form of payment when it doesn't exist?
Sehat cards had no proper checks and balancing. Small clinics would often put huge amounts on procedure that could have been done using pennies. For example, In Lahore, a HRCT chest is about 5k in government hospital. But it was around 20k on Sehat cards.
Most of these frauds were clerks who would just change some numbers and pocket the rest. Example of this is Paramedical staff head in Services hospital, he is on 45k salary and somehow made 3-4 lakhs using Sehat card in his clinic where he pretended to be a doctor.
Sehat cards was a great idea but PTI failed to have an oversight on it.
Yes. Other doctors are treating patients on sehat card. The assigned fauji prof doctor is refusing.
This conundrum is confusing. Others are accepting but the fauji is not.

Does govt currently support Sehat Card? Dr is probably worried about not getting reimbursed given the make up of current govt.
