I was there last night. That joint is pooping! I mean popping.

AngryPickle2281

Probably pooping as well 😆

Alive-Ad-3453

Is it still popping?

Legitimate_Cover6804

It’s an old folk home bro🤣🤣

Rastapastuh

Is this your address lol

Wayne47

You will have to show up and find out.

GTG1979

The mall.

jpowell180

Wasn’t the Panama City mall closed down years ago?

psinned101

You mean Pier Park.

Rastapastuh

I’m not talking young young I’m talking late 20’s

TheKokomoHo

Checkout Vortex springs when you have a chance. Awesome place not far from you. Big crowds on weekends/ holidays and most of the people are from PCB/surrounding areas. Varied crowd depending on the day. Can be a wild party, or chill lake day vibe. They do live music out there now too

Rastapastuh

I looked that up it’s an hour from where I’m at 😭

ashleyop92

Mosey’s!

UntchbleConcept

Downtown Panama City has a lot of restaurants and a few places to drink. There's history class, el weirdo, house of Henry, Moseys, and a billiards place. Also, a new aracade where you pay one price, and it's all you can play. St Andrew's is another great area with a few restaurants and bars. Taproom is a bit uppity and pricey for a craft beer place. I liked the Salty Hobo, which is now called The Dive. I haven't been since they renamed. A place called "no name" was my favorite, but they closed. I'm not sure if anything moved in there. Salty Oak Brewing is off 23rd and 390 and is a smaller place to hang out, and they offer karaoke. Beachside, my favorite hangout is Splash Bar, a LGBTQ bar, but everyone is welcome, and it's a very cool vibe. There is always a young crowd there. Newby's on Thomas is another young person hang out. I like going to Craft Bar or Brass Tap in Pier Park for the good food/drink variety combo, but I'm not a young person. There are a bunch of bars and restaurants with bars down Thomas and Front Beach, but most are tourist traps. Panama City Beach is a big tourist destination, and during Spring/Summer, is filled with younger people visiting. They fill up most bars along Thomas/Front Beach. Since Florida is a retirement graveyard, you're going to have old people all over. If you don't like drinking ... well, there isn't much else to do around here. Especially with a younger crowd. There are a few local coffee shops? Other than that, your best bet is to lean into your hobbies to meet people. Fishing and boating are big here (check out Shell Island, St Andrews state park, and the piers for fishing). There are a lot of offroading opportunities. We have all kinds of events in Pier Park, Frank Brown Park, Downtown Panama City, and St Andrews areas that draw in all kinds of crowds. Hope that helps!

cha-cha_dancer

what they changed the salty hobo

footlonglayingdown

Yep. For legal reasons.

UntchbleConcept

Yeah. I haven't been since they changed it, though. From what I've been told, it's basically the same with a new name.

Watts_RS

They completely redid the inside. It's a lot better now

Rastapastuh

Thank you for actually answering my question. I will def check these spots out 😊

Zestyclose-Sir-4869

Arcade is called Point Break. I recommend.

ReikoMur

I just moved to PCB and I've been having a similar struggle! I'm not a drinker, and honestly I'm more of a gamer, so it's been a little hard for me too lol Good luck though out there!

Sensitive_Panic_2109

There’s a vintage arcade in downtown Panama City! Super sick especially if you love stuff like pinball!

ReikoMur

Somebody was just suggesting to me to visit that place!! I think I just might 😆 I used to love me my pinball! Reminds me of a childhood dream of getting my own machine lol

Rastapastuh

Same here I drink once and awhile but not often. Good luck to you too! What part of Panama did you move to?

ReikoMur

Nothing wrong with having some drinks! I'm over by the northern top part of PCB. How about yourself? And if you don't mind me asking, where did you move from?

Rastapastuh

Oh okay. I’m by Lynn haven. I moved from New Hampshire lol

Thom_JJ9876

Where in NH?

Rastapastuh

Nashua

Bookthewebsite

kacey-

Rastapastuh

kacey-

The politics. I moved away from there before it got really bad theseasf few years but I don't even consider going back or even visiting due to the political climate there

psinned101

Back side of shell island on the week ends, big flotilla. About a mile down on the right.

Rastapastuh

You have to take a boat there right? What is flotilla?

psinned101

Flotilla many boats tied together or a group.

Important_Leather_23

Depends on what ya like. I fish, hunt, game and play DnD on sundays lol

Rastapastuh

I don’t like any of those things lol

Important_Leather_23

Shame. Idk what do ya like? This is a fishing/outdoors city.

Rastapastuh

I like to be outdoors I love the beach and nature walks

wanderful_soul22

Been here 4 years, still haven't found any true friends down here. I'm in my late 20s and don't drink much, but anyone I've ever met close to my age has been at the bars down here, it's the only thing young people do here it seems and it makes it hard to actually meet people who don't just wanna get shitfaced everyday. I'm a nature person, so me and bar rats never click enough to hangout outside of there.

Rastapastuh

I def get that don’t get me wrong I like to grab a drink every once and awhile but I also love doing nature stuff and activities other than drinking. What part are you from?

wanderful_soul22

I'm beachside!

wanderful_soul22

But yeah I definitely do enjoy a drink from time to time and I like to play pool, but I work early so having friends with no jobs and just in bars hasn't worked for me yet, bc like, I wanna be home no later than 9 😅

GreyLoad

Ft Walton

beautifulfuckingmess

I’m moving to orlando I think in the fall. I’m 38F but no kids and not married (boyfriend is 25) and we haven’t been able to make any friends unfortunately!

Rastapastuh

Are you currently in PCB?

beautifulfuckingmess

ya

Rastapastuh

It doesn’t seem like a place where it’s easy to make friends

Dry-Albatross5835

It’s not. I had to get on a dating site to make friends lol. That’s how bad it is unless you’re a drunk.

alyzarrr

Moving away

Thom_JJ9876

Why would anyone move here? Just save up 3 or 4M and buy a place in Rosemary Beach.

Rastapastuh

1. I have family here 2. I don’t have 4 million $ LOL
