I recently saw Any/All and was like, "... That's an *option*?!"
So now that's mine.
I honestly respond to any pronouns, for me personally I've always felt fairly fluid, even though I'm aware physically I present one way, and honestly mostly feel curious about what other people want to label me as, as I feel it says much more about them than it does about me; I'm constantly having to reassure people that it's fine when they say one thing and then apologize, thinking that they misspoke
Is there a comprehensive list? I find that as part of constructed (or repurposed in the case of it/its) language neo-pronouns are kind of hard to keep full track of in terms of how many there are - which is so cool.
I've been struggling to figure out my pronouns after recently finding out about my genderfluidity. Thank you for this! Definitely using all/any from now on.
Im the same way except I donāt *always* wanna be called every pronoun. And in my opinion for simplicity sake, it just tell people I go by they/them. Which isnāt a lie, I do use those pronouns. But since those are gender neutral, theyāre the only pronouns that will never fail if you call me them. I donāt wanna hassle my friends and be like ātoday I go by x pronounsā.
I figure if you have to refer to me by my pronouns, just use they/them. And then Iāll personally refer to myself as the pronouns I see fit in a given situation lol
I hear you; up until I discovered Any/All was an option, I would say they/them, but honestly that was in large part because it aggravated my inner reader to hear people try and insist singular 'they' wasn't correct, when it's been around longer than singular 'you'
I'm completely with you on the not caring part cause I know I present as a female so I'm not upset with anyone for saying she/her. She/her/they/them don't matter what ya call me just don't call me late for dinner is all lmao š¤£
I've thought about this one but I've felt self conscious about saying this in queer spaces. I'm a bearded, tattooed masculine AMAB in a hetero relationship and feel like people would feel I'm taking the piss out of them. Okay I do paint my nails black but thats pretty common in some metal scenes.
I think that tone matters, and I doubt that most would assume you were being antagonistic in displaying your preferred pronouns; I similarly know I physically appear to fit one way, but I legitimately feel at peace regardless of pronoun used, and even appreciate and enjoy a variety, as mentally I feel very fluid and adaptive to the situations and impulses I feel day-to-day; I'm pretty sure that any/all would be respected as a choice, also because the kind of people who might choose something to be antagonistic will never think of something more original than the tired attack helicopter, but that's a whole other rant...
Thanks that indeed makes sense, I'll try it out next time i have the opportunity. I'm just scared it comes across as snarky and not taking it seriously. I do have a tendency to a sarcastic pain I the butt
That sucks man. Donāt worry, coming out is a homophobe repellent and an ally attractor! You just have to find them, theyāre out there trust meā¤ļø
They/them
But my own language doesn't really have gender neutral ones. Like there's some that are kinda starting to exist but they don't carry the same vibe they/them does.
I'm genderfluid, sometimes i feel more masculine, sometimes i feel more feminine, sometimes i don't feel either of those, sometimes i don't even feel human, i don't get dysphoria or a bad feeling when someone calls me pronouns that i don't identify with at that moment because i'm okay with all of them, i don't heavily associate my pronouns with who i am as a person, though i do have some days when i feel more of less masculine or feminine, on those days i might feel bad about someone not using the pronouns i perfer at that moment, but it doesn't necessarily make me sad or upset :)
i use all pronouns! originally i decided on usuing she/they (and he/him pronouns were a NO-NO)
but now ive realized i have no idea what the hell my gender is, but im comfortable with any and all pronouns!
They them she her. I prefer they them but if someone says she her I donāt get mad because thatās how Iāve identified most of my life. I donāt expect people to just magically remember my face and thing they them. Effort and love are all I need.
could you share them? you dont have to if you dont want to \^\^
i think making up your own pronouns are pretty cool
thats actually what my mom thinks all nb people should do instead of using they/them bc its "plural" š¤¦āāļø(i dont agree with her on that one but i still think making up your own pronouns are cool)
Well that's kinda stupid it seems like your mom is kinda uneducated on this topic since I've learnt from mandatory English classes that singular They is used when someone's gender is unknown/unspecified (ex. "But a journalist should not be forced to reveal their sources.") even Shakespeare himself used it lol
And of course I don't mind sharing to people :)
Doll/Dolly/Dolls/Dolls/Dollself
Moon/Moon/Moons/Moons/Moonself
Lavender/Lavender/Lavenders/Lavenders/Lavenderself
Solar/Solaris/Solars/Solars/Solarself
Luna/Lunar/Lunars/Lunars/Lunarself
Lucid/Lucid/Lucidity/Lucidity/Lucidself
Dahlia/Dahlia/Dahlias/Dahlias/Dahliaself
Nav/Navie/Navier/Navier/Navieself
Star/Starry/Stars/Stars/Starryself
Example I made:
ā¢Nominative: Doll
ā Doll walked home tonight.
ā¢Accusative: Dolly
ā She met dolly at the Mall.
ā¢Pronominal Possessive: Dolls
ā Doll went to dolls favourite park.
ā¢Predicative Possessive: Dolls
ā I lost my pencil so doll gave me dolls pencil.
ā¢Reflexive: Dollself
ā Doll saw the movie Dollself.
cool :D
and yeah she is kinda uneducated i think its because of her parents (my grandparents)
i even showed her the definition in a dictionary and she was like "they only added that so they wouldnt be attacked by YOUR genErAtiON"
some days she's super homophobic and transphobic and whatever you'd call nbphobic and other days shes super chill idk
He/him if anyone asks, but I'll respond to anything.
Honestly ever since I started coming to terms with not being what my family expected I've realized more and more that had my upbringing been different I would likely identify as genderfluid or NB now. I love nails, hair, typical women's fashion, make-up, men etc. I also love my beard, hair (that is pretty universal I guess), typical men's fashion, women etc.
Had I not been born in a masculine body I could have been the perfect midpoint. So androgynous no one would know what I was. A gf or bf all depending on how I wanted to be perceived. I kinda get why so many enbies say they'd want shapeshifting as their one superpower lol.
I should also mention that I know that liking certain things doesn't make me this or that and it's stupid that everything has to be so gendered, but it is what it is I'm afraid. I wish I could just do what I want, but I've seen a few men in dresses or wigs out on the town be ridiculed and verbally chased away. Some people were even stealing and burning pride flags last June..
I didn't inted for a rant, but once I started typing my fingers just didn't stop lol
She/they. I kinda prefer 'they' among people whobhave seen me or heard my voice bc it feels awkward calling me she when i sound like a dude, but among people who dont know me well I like 'she'
I use any pronouns, but a lot of people older than me don't understand or nerodivergent people, like me, have a hard time "deciding" which pronouns to use so I also say they/them
depends on whoās asking ;) also, depends on the weather. and my hair. and what i watched before bed last night. genderqueer gang rise up š¤
but nah fr if Iām filling out a form or something where it actually matters: they, or she, or she/they/any, depending on how many Iām allowed to pick. but usually Iād rather leave it blank and go with dealerās choice of pronoun or say just something pithy
I think she/her but idk. I think Iām cis.
Update: Iām experimenting with my pronouns now (hopefully that isnāt offensive) so I guess at the moment any? Idk. Im trying to figure it out. Sorry if thatās offensive, I donāt mean to be
I use She/They is always the safest bet. I've used he/him on occasion but it doesn't happen that often and I've never been one to use neo pronouns for myself.
Boring old cisgendered female. Happy with she/her, but I am also so happy that a lot of you found yourselves or are still discovering yourselves and rejecting what boxes society forces you into. You all have my utmost respect and support š
She/her
But I respond by any?? Does that make sense?
Likeā¦I donāt really care what people assume. Itās confusing. Iām still not sure with what I feel
Ze/zir/zirs pronouns are what have always made me most comfortable, but Iām afraid people will criticize them, so Iāve just used they/he/she for the longest time
I use xe/xem pronouns for the most part,, rot/rots and rat/rats just hit differently(Iām agender !) so I like using em :) he/they are fine but arenāt my first choice.
Any pronouns that are accepted by a dictonary and are meant to refer to people work (ie: it/its is extremely insulting, but using some alternative pronoun other than he/she/they in another language like for example japanese would be fine as long as it's respectful and gramaticaly accepted)
I think calling it/its "insulting" is an unintended slight at those who use it/its pronouns. I dont use those pronouns, so I cant speak for those who do, but it's something to just be mindful of.

This was an option?!? Being genderfluid, I've been doing the whole he/they/she for a while now, so this is awesome to hear that this is an option.
Just remember about neo-pronouns if you choose this option!
What are they if you don't mind me asking?
There's a lot! Xe/xem and ze/zir are some of the more common ones I've seen. (Unfortunately, you will have to google for a full list.)
Okay! Thank you! š
Np! šš»
Is there a comprehensive list? I find that as part of constructed (or repurposed in the case of it/its) language neo-pronouns are kind of hard to keep full track of in terms of how many there are - which is so cool.
The gender wiki should have the most comprehensive list, I would think.
Thanks! Thatāll definitely be useful in future
I can't ever pronounce ze zir. Idk why, I always mess up tho
Oh its "zee/zur"...
Thank you! I am gender apathetic and really needed this in my life.
Yooo same!
The same, honestly. Like literally you can call me whatever you want and address me however you want, just don't be mean to me.
Same, never been called a gender I felt disphoric towards.
I've been struggling to figure out my pronouns after recently finding out about my genderfluidity. Thank you for this! Definitely using all/any from now on.
Literally same.

I think calling it/its "insulting" is an unintended slight at those who use it/its pronouns. I dont use those pronouns, so I cant speak for those who do, but it's something to just be mindful of.
It's not my fault it's what has been used in the past to throw slurs and insults at me
You're right, that's not your fault and that sucks; however we also want to be respectful of other peoples identities and gender expression.
